Finished

  1. Lavera mango milk shampoo (loved this stuff, and yes, got about 3 more bottles in my secret stash(

  2. Aldi eye cream Q10 (alright, not noticed anything)

3) box of durex

LanguidLobster · 27/07/2018 23:26

Ohhh Tea, I used to be really into Lavera rose milk shampoo. Never tried the mango milk one, so it's good is it?

Slightly jealous about the durex

ememem84 · 28/07/2018 17:23

I think I mentioned I finished a clarins day moisturiser?

Also gone today are:

  • Mitchum deodorant
  • black dried up liquid eyeliner
  • an ancient hairspray - which I’m pretty sure was empty so why was I keeping it?!?!

Finished an atomiser of perfume so have refilled from new bottle. I can’t find my 3/4 empty one. Suspect it’s in my drawer at work.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/07/2018 18:02

Body Shop ginger shampoo (got a new one this week as its DH favourite)

DS finished a huge showergel from TKMaxx (litre bottle)

A coconut shampoo and conditioner (Sainsbury)

Korres Fig showergel - didn't like this one but I battled on with it . I used the Bergamont Pear (IIRC) that was nice , and I have the vine one for holidays Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/07/2018 18:08

Our recycle day is a Monday , so on a Friday , I line everything that is nearly done up on the side of the bath and tell eeryone to use these first . Grin

But still have DS (18) using all my Aveda Shamure ( I can smell it on him even though he pleads ignorance) and DD used my Bodyshop banana shampoo (as a showergel Hmm ) and said it wasn't very foamy !

Oh, SoaperDuper got used up and the last dregs of Himalayan Salts

TeaAddict235 · 28/07/2018 19:46

Ha ha @LanguidLobster the durex is because DH is going to be on business away for a bit. The DC are sticking and glueing mad because of the holidays so I'm going to have to get the box out to the recycling ASAP. They are always fishing around in the paper recycling box for more bits to cut out. ....could you imagine it on a play date "look what I've used for a space rocket, this brilliant red box!"

The lavera mango milk shampoo is so good I could eat it. I was being a bit miserly with using it as it smells like heaven. I'll be on the look out for the Rose one now. Did you notice any effect on your hair? They're meant to be SLS free.

@70isaLimitNotaTarget i always read about that Body shop banana shampoo, is it really good too? Do you smell like bananas afterwards? Is there a Conditioner with it too?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/07/2018 19:57

I didn't buy the conditioner , and there's a mask too (didn't buy) I just got a mini bottle of the shampoo (trying not to buy too much Wink

It does have a banana aftersmell , very rich , not one to try if you think clean=bubbles.

I didn't like the ginger shampoo (love the smell though) on its own but the shampoo+ the ginger conditioner is lovely .

I had this with a Liz Earle shampoo . On its own meh , use the LE conditioner ahhh .

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 30/07/2018 08:08

Hi
I’m missing point if thread and taking notes to try! I have rosacea too but so much better with Soolantra cream from gp. Never tried AlphaH as always a bit scared that it would cause me to go even redder although have 1 in stash from M&S box. Might try next flare to see. I know Pixi Glow doesn’t irritate me if I use once a week.
Still working away at term time list but keep buying lipstick so not much help!

Managed to finish The Ordinary niacinamide and liked this for reducing redness.
Also in empties
M&S summer perfume (sea salt and bergamot) lovely in hot sweaty weather

Superdrug hydrating serum. Real long term staple of the stash so very happy to wave goodbye. Lovely and cheap!

Superdrug own hairspray. Fine so would repurchase

Body shop virgin mojito shower gel. Bliss in hot weather. Have another in stash as never sure if discontinued.

Nuxe oil. Yum: sunny hot scent and makes legs look great.

Dermatologica samples. Night cream. Nice but always seems expensive.

Going to try a beauty no-spend August/ September as have to pay quite a few professional bills in November and would’ve nice to have the cash in bank! Also trying to get make up finished. So much stuff....

Experiment627 · 30/07/2018 18:57

I have had a epiphany! The reason why I stash is cos so many of my favs have been discontinued over the years!

@PurpleNailVarnish will be 31 weeks on Wednesday 😬

Treeballarae · 30/07/2018 20:16

Just been catching up on the thread, not been using much skincare due to the heat and now I'm paying the price with rubbish skin but at least it is cooler now - I know what I need to do, I just need to do it.

Just a few use ups to report
LCN 40% Urea footcream - this smelled lovely and was a gel texture but felt a lot thicker on than the gel texture suggested and the urea left white residue on my socks so won't buy again. My feet are still awful, so still looking for a good footcream. I liked CCS in the past - also got my eyes on O'Keefes which I noticed last time I was in Boots or Margaret Dabbs (her range without emu oil from M&S) as I heard her talk about it on a podcast.

Neom destress body wash - wasn't wowed by the scent, may try the sleep one or the energy one at some point

Korres Bergamot Pear body milk - nice fruity smell, got the vine one to try next

LRP Anthelios Ultra Light SPF 50 - holy grail face SPF

@PurpleNailVarnish - thank you for posting your holy grail list, you've given me some ideas of products to try as I'm getting more redness/sensitivities as I get older.

Like @AnotherPinkiePieStory, I've been taking notes as I've read through the thread of things I would like to try!

Going to try the condition - wash - condition thing as my hair keep breaking and use my konjac sponge on my neck rings, so thanks for the tips!

I've been on holiday this past week, not away anywhere but it was my SIL's birthday and she loves L'Occitane and while I was ordering her present I ended up buying some of their limited edition moisturising foam (not moisturising at all and feels like rubbing shaving foam into my skin - eew), a hand cream and a soap, so that's 4 "outs" and 3 "ins", but I'm telling myself a holiday would have been more expensive.

@Experiment627 - yes! Totally with you on the having to stash due to things being discontinued! In the last year, I've gone to buy at least 4 things only to find they've discontinued them, so I'm definitely considering targeted multiple purchases in the future.

ememem84 · 30/07/2018 22:02

tree have you tried footner?

I did it once and then just used a regular foot cream. Baby soft feet.

PurpleNailVarnish · 30/07/2018 23:50

Mange tout, mange tout beauties.
For anyone who isn't a fluent French speaker that roughly translates as 'me and DH are in France for the week'.
For the record I should state that we've done many, many oh so many holidays with DCs at various levels of luxury from the splendid to the awful and everything in between.
Their leaving is a recent thing so this two-of-us-on-holiday schtick is a new concept too. I'm happy to report that it's lush.

In order to keep the packing to a minimum I haven't brought all of my beauty stuff with me and boy, is it showing in my skin.
So @Treeballarae, @ThisIsHistory and anyone else who is concerned about rosacea I've found that it's only by rigorously sticking to my skincare regime at home that I've kept it at bay. I'm glad the list was useful tree
You can buy Soolantra OTC here so I'm going to buy some and give it a go.
I'll report back...

I've loads of empties but that can wait until I'm back home.

That's excellent news @Experiment627, not long to go then. Are you mostly set for it?
My best advice is to take all the drugs but as I most recently gave birth in the previous century you'd probably be as well to ignore me completely Grin

Congrats on all your empties everyone, mais oui.

Inthetropics · 31/07/2018 03:56

Finished:

  • 2 packs of intimate hygiene wipes
  • Panvel Lavender soap - I love this but it smells exactly like my ex wife so i won't be buying it again. I still have one or two on my stash. Confused
  • Phebo body soap (amazonian scent) - All Phebo soaps are vegan and made by the brazilian's oldest apothecary who used to be the imperial family's official Pharmacy. The soaps's formula is the original one and Phebo is a brazilian luxury and yet cheap product. It is a glycerin soap so it's really good for my skin as it won't dry it or give me allergies. Not sure if it's available in the UK but it can be found in a few european countries.
  • Palmolive erva cidreira shampoo - Cheap, does the job and smells amaaaazing. I never felt expensive shampoo was any better for my hair than plain simple brands.
ememem84 · 31/07/2018 21:16

experiment I had zero drugs when I had ds. Because there wasn’t time. Only a local when they had to intervene and make a cut. I’m not a hero. But I got on with it. See how you go. Trust your body and work with it. And make sure the midwives know that you’re open to pain relief if you want it.

No empties to report.

Experiment627 · 01/08/2018 07:21

Haha! @PurpleNailVarnish never fear - I am taking all the drugs! I am having a c-section due to the high risk nature of my pregnancy... and maybe I am just too posh to push 😂😂😂

@Inthetropics I am getting jealous of the products you mention- they sound very exotic!

No empties but some nearly there!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

IPokeBadgers · 01/08/2018 18:28

Not been around much, but hello to all waves at fellow hoarders

Just finished a bottle of estee lauder pleasures perfume. Have worn this on and off since it was launched and there is another bottle in the stash. It's one of my happy scents 😆

PurpleNailVarnish · 01/08/2018 19:30

@Experiment627 too posh to push? That takes me back a few years!
I'm glad I didn't offend you by telling you to take all the drugs. I was joking, of course. When it comes to childbirth I'm definitely in the 'whatever gets you through' camp.
With DD1 & DS1 all was fine, quick and I had gas & air. DD2's birth was very difficult awful! so I wasn't given much choice about the planned C-section I had with DD3 and that too was great. Except that the surgeon was listening to the radio and DD3 emerged to Shania Twain's 'Man I Feel Like A Woman' Confused

I've got more empties but we visited a parfumerie today and I bought 6 different perfumes. So whoops.

Any perfume called Pleasures sounds lovely @IPokeBadgers. I'll give it a sniff next time I'm near somewhere that sells it.

Experiment627 · 02/08/2018 07:12

@IPokeBadgers I have been missing you! Massive snog 😘😘😘😘 you ok?

@PurpleNailVarnish if surgeon thinks they can listen to Shania Twain when Kwicklet is making an appearance they have got a another think coming!!!!!!
Was DD3 a girl? 😳

I have an empty!!!

  • Omorovicza Queen of Hungary mist: did not like smell nor did I feel it was doing much. Definitely prefer the Caudalie Grape Water or Beauty Elixir. In my stash I have a Superdrug facial spritz (which I love) but I have an awful feeling it has been discontinued
OP posts:
ememem84 · 02/08/2018 07:51

Empty. Clarins primer. A sample size. I quite liked this but am not sure It’s worth the cost. I have another sample one to use and a full size max factor one to try. Primer isn’t really my thing. But I have then so will use.

Today I plan on using loads of products. I’m taking a personal day from work as am exhausted. Just emailed in to say if Check emails occasionally but not to expect anything from me.

I will mostly be doing “self care” and sleeping. Will be drinking lots of water will have a nice shower and moisturise everywhere. And will sort out my feet

DragonNoodleCake · 02/08/2018 12:47

As a long time member of the thread I should know better but I'm going to ask...any of you use Morphe make-up? If so what do you recommend...I think I may have to reign myself in from a spending spree.

DragonNoodleCake · 02/08/2018 12:48

@PurpleNailVarnish that song was on the radio when I was in labour with DD1!!!

RiskIt4Biscuit · 02/08/2018 13:41

I've finished an Osmo Illuminating mask (hair mask). It was just a small 100ml pot, and it smelled quite nice, but I'm not sure it did very much for my hair.

I've also finished a Malin+Goetz vitamin b5 body lotion. This was a travel size from a set. It was nice. I have other body lotions that do exactly the same job (and cheaper) so I doubt that I will repurchase.

Experiment627 · 03/08/2018 06:35

@ememem84 hope you are feeling more rested 😘

@DragonNoodleCake I do not use Morphe make-up - but want to!!!! Maybe watch some of Tati's videos on YouTube for recommendations?

I have an empty!!

  • Superdrug Simply Pure leave on water mask: did not like the smell nor the results
OP posts:
Experiment627 · 04/08/2018 06:49

I have an empty!!!!

  • M&S lemon & lime shower gel: really not keen on the smell - just too harsh 250ml
OP posts:
LanguidLobster · 04/08/2018 07:28

@TeaAddict235 the rose one was lovely but discontinued now, I'll def get mango next time. Lavera shampoos are really good.

I threw out a face mask pot this week as it was nearly empty and frankly the dregs looked a bit manky, no purchases made.
