@IPokeBadgers you are a total genius of course!!!

Wow you ladies have been making great progress!!!!

I, on the other hand, have not. My stash has grown and I just do not seem to be getting through things!!!

Only one empty to report:

  • Bodyform black panty liners: I would not usually report such an article but wanted to remind myself never to stray to the dark side again and stick with the usual white ones!!!!!

This weekend I plan to either be decluttering or allotmenteering. I need to get rid of so much shit if I am gonna have a hope in hell of fitting Kwicklet in!!!

Been off the thread for ages but OMG @Experiment627 a Kwicklet I'm almost in tears of joy for you. I've had a dark few weeks but that is a lovely drop of light! I didn't even realise you'd name changed. Right best go use stuff up to celebrate.

trigger2 · 03/05/2018 14:18

Congratulations Experiment/Kwik, this had obviously passed me by. Hope you’re keeping well 💐

The only things I’ve finished is a tube of Boots Dermacare dry skin cream and a bar of Simple soap. But .... I’m not very good at this and I bought some Yves Rocher shower gels and a toner this morning. Oops !

Strawberryfield12 · 04/05/2018 08:12

Yay Experiment! I was getting ready this morning and it crossed my mind about how is Kwicklet doing just to see the news from you. Very happy to read about your decluttering efforts! :)

On the midsummer list front, I have used Nuxe shower oil and Dr.Zelens lip oil, but have slipped with Hirons brand reviews and discount offers. She posted Pixi review video with 20% off code and I have about inch of glowtonic left without any tonic at all in the stash.

RoseMartha · 04/05/2018 17:52

Found more toiletries in a bag at back of wardrobe that I had put by for travelling but never used all mini items now added to my stock cupboard to use before I buy more. 🙄

Experiment627 · 05/05/2018 05:03

@DragonNoodleCake my darling! Sorry to hear you have been through sone dark times. Sending you a mahoosive hug 😘

Thank you @trigger2!

Haha @Strawberryfield12! I have not really started the decluttering. Lets see how I go today!

Gosh I am SO behind on my June list - and I have yet to finish the two before that 😬

Anyhoo wishing everyone an amazeballs bank holiday weekend- looks like we will be able to breakout the suntan lotion and after sun!!!!

ememem84 · 05/05/2018 08:12

experiment how’ve you been feeling?

As someone who is fairly new to babies taking over - don’t bother decluttering. You’ll never win. I didn’t. Ds brought so so much stuff with him!!!

I haven’t used anything up this week (except tissues - germy Ds has a cold which he has passed about with reckless abandon).

But am back at work now so am make up more often. And the air conditioning is playing havoc with my skin. 7 months out of the office environment.

Experiment627 · 05/05/2018 12:51

@ememem84 I am still feeling 🤢 quite a lot of the time - but it is much better than weeks 7- 12. Exhausted. Excited. Still not believing it. I had SCH which was very scary weeks 9-12 but Kwicklet was fine.

I really do need to declutter- I cleared out one drawer today and moved my bedroom around so I can hopefully fit a cot. But I have so much crap. I was supposed to go through my winter jimjams but in the end just swapped over to the summer ones and got rid of none!!!!

ememem84 · 05/05/2018 15:41

experiment oh goodness! Poor you!

If I remember rightly I got to week 15/16 and suddenly had a new burst of energy. And felt less sick.

Are you drinking enough water? I found I needed to keep super hydrated otherwise the nausea came back. My midwife said to treat pregnancy sickness like a hangover. Eat hangover sickness foods. So my go to we’re salt and vinegar crisps and coke. Icy cold coke.

We did Moses basket initially until chunky ds outgrew it at 4 months then a cot in the other room.

Experiment627 · 07/05/2018 09:07

I have an empty!

  • Balanceme Flash Cleanse Micellar Water 30ml: smells ok but not the best cleanser I have used
OP posts:
ememem84 · 07/05/2018 09:11

I am working on emptying the following:

  • clarins eye make up remover
  • a hair balm from er somewhere
  • lee Stafford dry shampoo - love this
  • tommy girl perfume

Still working on naked pallet. Two pans and a third in progress for an every day shade.

trigger2 · 07/05/2018 11:01

Empties:
Redken Moisture conditioner
Mitchum roll on

Next to finish:
Aveeno daily moisture lotion
Sanex hypoallergenic bath (used in shower)
Elvive colour shampoo
Fructis oil conditioner
Avene hydrance Light face cream

TeaAddict235 · 07/05/2018 12:39

Finished a Nutrafix Argan oil conditioner ! So proud of myself.

Must confess that I used it generously on the DC as it was so middle of the road. I received lots of the range from my little DSis for Christmas.....and still got about 4 to go.

Gusthetheatrecat · 07/05/2018 13:46

Hi again - keep meaning to come back to the thread but ... you know .... life.
Anyway I wanted to say that even just lurking occasionally has really helped me with my hoarding. I have decided I will use up all my body lotion before I buy any more (ameliorate which I got in my beauty advent calendar is wonderful but not whilst I have palmers and soap and glory stuff to use up!). Ditto skin care, I have put all my cleansers in one place and my face masks in a drawer and it’s encouraging me not to click ‘buy’ when I read a glowing review of something!
Equally, I realise that hoarding perfume genuinely gives me enormous pleasure, and picking a scent every day to match my mood is amazing, so I am happy to add (a little) to my perfume drawer knowing i’m saving cash elsewhere. So thank you all!

IPokeBadgers · 07/05/2018 16:46

Binned a couple of products....a garnier face moisturiser which makes my skin greasy and a Leighton denny handcream that came in a qvc tsv ages ago....I was never fond of it and I think it had turned, was smelling rank. I generally don't like chucking stuff rather then using up but these were both at least a couple of years old and I wasn't ever going to use them.

Also trying to make myself chuck a really old make up palette....anyone remember Virgin Vie??

PurpleNailVarnish · 07/05/2018 17:31

Hope the nausea passes soon experiment. FWIW I agree with PP; you probably won't want to put Kwiklet in a cot to begin with. Don't get rid of your pyjamas you'll be needing them Grin

I've got some empties:

  • Bumble & Bumble volumising conditioner. Definitely not worth the money.
  • Nivea soft moisturiser.
I've got another pot left but I prefer Cetaphil. -
  • L'Occitane almond shower oil.
PPs have said they don't like the smell but I love it and I'll definitely buy more next time I go through duty free.
  • L'Oreal long hair treatment.
I really like this and I'll definitely buy more when I've used up all my other hair treatments.
  • Dr Levy micro resurfacing cleanser.
This was a large sample, it was ok but I wouldn't buy it.
Experiment627 · 07/05/2018 20:03

I am planning on getting a next to me crib thing first. My mum has offered to make a patchwork quilt for cot 😍

I have an empty!!!

  • Superdrug Vitamin E all over body cream intensive 475 ml: love the smell, goes on easily, not so keen on massive tub but it is very inexpensive. I have so many body lotions right now it feels good to have got one down.
OP posts:
ememem84 · 07/05/2018 20:28

Oooh I wanted a next to me! They looked really good. Sadly, we don’t have space. Our bedroom is huge but part of it is ensuite and we had a wardrobe built in on the other side of the en suite wall. I sleep on wardrobe side. So we could fit crib there but not open wardrobe.

On dh’s side there’s about a foot and half of space and then window.

I finished tresseme shampoo and conditioner just now. Had way too much conditioner to just throw away so I conditioned my hair three times. It was the keratin smooth one. I like it but it doesn’t work so well with the bleach highlights in my hair.

Have two mega monster moisturising tresseme shampoo and conditioners to use now. Not sure they’ll fit in the shower...so may have to decant into other bottles. We shall see.

WLAH · 07/05/2018 21:27

Need to join in and not buy anymore toiletries til I used up what I have

In my tidy up this evening.. I have 16 fake tans... I don't even wear that often

Quite a few body lotions, hand creams etc. 5 perfumes

So no more buying for a while... Will report when have a empty
( confession I did buy a new moisturiser last Thur)

DragonNoodleCake · 07/05/2018 22:38

@IPokeBadgers Virgin Vie name sounds so familiar but you'll have to remind me

IPokeBadgers · 08/05/2018 19:38

DragonNoodleCake Virgin Vie probably qualified as an MLM scheme and operated under Branson's Virgin brand.....at home shopping parties for make up and I think fancy household stuff as well. Their best product was a One Step face base powder foundation compact....but funnily enough it all went belly up after a few years. But the makeup was pretty good, at the time I would have rated it above Avon....but then it was pricey enough, so should have been!

IPokeBadgers · 08/05/2018 19:39

The eye palette I'm trying to make myself part with must be at least 12- 13 years old!

suchatiredbunny · 08/05/2018 20:16

Badgers I loved that foundation! Actually, I had a few things that I really liked, it was a shame when it stopped going.

No more empties here, just plodding along. I have bought an Olay serum and moisturiser in one from the 7 effects range with spf 20, and I really, really like it. I used to use the fragrance free one but since they ‘new and improved’ it I can’t use it. Anyway, I know we’re meant to use separate sunscreen, but my skin doesn’t like layers of product, so this works just fine. Then I slap on Aveeno at night. My skin is actually rather good at the mo (which probably means I’ve jinxed it Hmm )

Kwicklet talk is making me broody, I do love a newborn. We borrowed a Moses basket for our three, my last baby being big enough to fill it from from the day we brought him home, so I ended up putting him in the carrycot bit of the pram for the first few weeks. I love a baby out of the bath, smelling sweet and in clean clothes ready for bed. And asleep, they are definitely at their best when they’re asleep Grin

ememem84 · 08/05/2018 20:31

Oh yes. Sleeping baby is best. Except a baby who looks at you with a three toof smile when you come home from work and goes “mumumumumumum” (this morning he had two teef)

suchatiredbunny · 08/05/2018 21:42

Oh Em your little man is so yummy, he reminds me of my chubba bubba boys. Teeth aren't so cute when they start falling out (DD lost three in two weeks once) and you have to remember tooth fairy duty......it's usually just as you're dropping off to sleep and you have no pound coins in the house. Just remember that whatever you do for the first tooth they will expect for the rest........so no fairy footprints in glitter and handwritten notes (not me, a friend) because you'll have to do every time!
