Careful Terriers, the first time I smelt 4160s perfumes the only one I liked, even a bit, was Paris 1948....And look at me now
.
I like the idea of a funnies list EK - although Maxed Out isn't so amusing on me. Monster sweat and lime notes, without very much booze or drugs or rock n roll. My PH balance feels disturbed by wearing it, but I remain fond of it, because it is plain outrageous.
The Great Randello does it for me - the opening curl of perfectly executed cigar smoke is so realistic I can almost see wisps of it; always makes me laugh - such a gorgeous gourmand. And of course B** - for the ridiculusness of smelling like organic matter on the floor of a dank cave, and that actually being quite and interesting, attractive and coherent smell.
Also, Bluebell, Jasmin et Cigarette smells of indolic (ok, pooey) jasmine and an unlit cigarette on me. Not so much straightforward lovely, as incredibly realistically composed to the extent it makes me swoon and laugh at the same time. And it does settle into a less challenging and pretty jasmine tea.
PiaM - hope you feel better soon? Was wondering who Iain is and what he's doing on your sick bed - but should I read that as lain as in lying down?
