Does anyone fancy a thread to discuss the products as we open the drawers? Quite a few people seem to have it this year from what I've seen on here.

The Davines conditioner was included last year. My hairdresser uses Davines in her salon and I love it. The hairspray smells gorgeous.

BluebellGal · 19/12/2017 13:59

I think you might be waiting a little while for the candle... I actually retrieved it earlier as I wanted to enjoy in run up to Xmas (and I have - best thing so far!)

Alwayslasttoarrive · 19/12/2017 14:04

Haha BluebellGal, think I might just have a ‘feel’ in the remaining boxes and retrieve the candle. Hopefully I can do that without actually looking at the other stuff.....

Stitchosaurus · 19/12/2017 15:23

used the night oil last night and really liked it - lovely smell and my skin looked nice this morning.

Not excited about the shampoo because I have super thick hair and need ones that foam up a lot...but I'll give it a go.

UpEarly · 19/12/2017 16:31

I did the same, stitch, I used it last night and thought it was lovely! And my skin has been feeling properly soft all day. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been using so many products which i’m unaccustomed to - I can really tell the difference - great result for this calendar

HLBug · 19/12/2017 17:12

Ok, I’ve binged opened the rest of the calendar. I’m done. I know I sound like a proper grump, but I’ve been really disappointed this year! Maybe they just don’t appreciate repeat customers.

Will look into Look Fantastic or something different for next year - have a nice Christmas ladies!!!

cedoren · 19/12/2017 17:38

The shampoo is boring. On balance I'm pretty disappointed this year.

BluebellGal · 19/12/2017 19:10

HLBug I’m with you and Happy Christmas! I think I’ll open the rest tonight too. I will get the M&S calendar next year and buy a box of perfume samples (or if I can find a mixed AC of perfumes that would be ideal)

Pippin8 · 19/12/2017 20:03

I like the shampoo, it’s perfect travel size for my holiday. I’ve liked a lot of the contents, the eye sticks & the NARS blusher especially.

But, overall, it hasn’t been worth the money. I’ll either not bother next year or get the look fantastic.

UpEarly · 20/12/2017 07:15

I’m delighted with today’s - been hoping for a new serum and I’ve heard good things about this one. My skin already feels fabulous with all these new products, can’t wait to feel the effects of this one.

Unfortunately I opened the calendar just before I left the house so I’ll have to wait till tomorrow morning to try it!

caggie09 · 20/12/2017 08:21

Not bothered by the shampoo, but i like todays! Very pleased. I really wanted a nice face cream, but a moisturising serum is just as goodSmile

LavenderHills · 20/12/2017 08:28

I'm pleasantly surprised by today's! I was starting to think I wouldn't bother with next year's calendar. I still may not, but a full-size product that I will actually use daily makes me a lot less grumpy about it Smile

Pomegranatepompom · 20/12/2017 08:44

Happy to get this again. Hopefully last few days will sway me to buy again next year, although considering John Lewis or Selfridges.

Piccolino2 · 20/12/2017 08:57

Very pleased with today’s. Excited to try this product and my current serum is running down too.

chloechloe · 20/12/2017 09:41

Ooh this is more like it! My skin is really dehydrated in winter, not helped by being proud mother to the worst sleeper in the world and surviving on caffeine and sugar. Hopefully this will plump it right up.

I've generally been pleased with this contents of this AC (first time for me) but think that the LF is a really strong AC given the price. I naughtily opened my LF one in October as I use it as a cheap way of stocking up my beauty stash!

chloechloe · 20/12/2017 09:42

Just had a quick look and the serum is £69 on Space NK.

BluebellGal · 20/12/2017 11:02

I’m really happy with the Dr Sebagh serum today.

Snap Chloe I did exactly the same as you. The LF AC has proven to be worth every penny as I’m using so many of the products on a daily basis

Pomegranatepompom · 20/12/2017 11:05

Af tempted by LF now. Would the make up suit most skin tones ?

BluebellGal · 20/12/2017 11:12

This year yes pomegranate the lipstick would suit fair to black skin, the eye stuff (quite a bit of that) very neutral. The eyebrow stick too Fair for those with dark brows though. There is a set to come (25) which is wearable for any skin tone. I’m using the nipple cream to soften lips before applying the Matt lipstick

But I can’t say about last year or next year obvs! But overall I’ve replaced my whole makeup bag (minus foundation) for £79- not bad!

chloechloe · 20/12/2017 12:09

Just echoing what bluebell said, but yes the LF AC has a really good choice of suit all colours. Much better than the M&S one where the nail polishes and Lip products have been a bit marmite.

cedoren · 20/12/2017 12:48

I buy the calendar largely to get the Dr Sebagh, one other product that I hope to God is coming up, a couple of surprises that I hopefully like, and the candle. Not sure it's worth the bother to be honest GrinGrin

Pippin8 · 20/12/2017 20:33

I binge opened the rest of the calendar today. I’m glad I did as one of the items had started to leak, but also I felt like I’d been on a little shopping trip & the stash made me happy.

I think I went ott though as put everything on & arrived at work looking like I’d stepped out of vogue. Well either that or a panto 🤣. I’m not going to spoil it, but there are a few items I would repurchase.

chloechloe · 20/12/2017 21:03

Naughty pippin! I'm tempted to open a few more boxes now as we're at the PIL for Xmas so I won't be able to open it!

caggie09 · 21/12/2017 07:16

I opened all mine yesterday too and popped them away, plus i had the leak the other day and knew what everything was!
I do like todays though, i never used to use hand cream but i slather it on before bed now hoping for soft hands in the morning! Work really dries my hands out so im happy to try out moreSmile

Pippin8 · 21/12/2017 07:44

I like the hand cream, the tube looks very posh. I wonder if our leak was the same item caggie?
