It's looking promising for Tauer deliveries to the UK then. I shall sit on my hands until after Christmas but I may have assembled my sample set (five scents, libre choix, CHF39, free shipping) of all the roses and incenses. Having bought a chic warm beanie (ridiculously extravagant but I shall wear it daily) there's nothing left for scent this month or next. I have looked for a picture but can't find it on the website.

SoTD is Iris de Nuit from the Heeley sample set. It is swooningly pretty and will be completely wasted on SockDog but we're walking with a friend this morning, so she may like it!

GlovesAndHatsAndFloofyCats · 14/11/2017 09:42

MrsM you are a terrible, terrible enabler ShockGrin don’t let me buy any, people! I have a school jumper and a coat to buy this week. Priorities. School jumper. Coat. School jumper. Coat.

So, hypothetically speaking of course Wink is LADDM the best choice for a Tauer Virgin? Just asking for a friend...

BluebellGal · 14/11/2017 10:39

SOTD MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 which is divine. I think Francis Kurkdjian is my desert island perfumer.

BluebellGal · 14/11/2017 10:41

floofy LADDM is a masterpiece and the best selling Tauer... can’t wait to get my hands on it Grin

explodingkittens · 14/11/2017 11:14

Grin at 'tauerblast them' - go for it PIAM!

Addict has actually dried down to something rather lovely. I'm impressed. It has a muskyness to it now that is pleasingly reminiscent of L'air de rien.

explodingkittens · 14/11/2017 11:24

So...purely as an experiment you understand...I attempted to buy the 31CHF sample set and ship to the UK and it still wouldn't allow me to.

But it would allow me to go through all the steps for the LADDM mini so it seemed really rude not to when Andy's being so accommodating and all

God help me if they ever ship that set to the UK (Oh hi, dp's swiss-resident brother!)

BluebellGal · 14/11/2017 11:53

Grin kittens

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 14/11/2017 12:48

Oh bumpers on the sample set Kittens - I had fun picking out my choices for a post Christmas boost. Why on Earth would the 5ml be shippable but the tin not? Boo!

Would love to give LADDM a whirl but really truly absolutely not buying any more now. It's so nearly December and I'm going to go with whatever the AC advent calendar throws out on the no soap days.

Of course, wanted to give a few others a whirl as well and that tin is boy d to be perfect for a gazillion other things after the samples are long gone but I am NOT grumbling

OCSockOrphanage · 14/11/2017 13:34

I've just tried too, and no go! Boo hoo! Maybe in 2018...

PerfumeIsAMessage · 14/11/2017 14:06

I Shalima'd them instead. I thought my sample EDp was empty but waggling it around produced just enough for today, and a respray later.
I never much cared for it back in the 80s, I think it was the powdery drydown, love it now though.

LADDM would definitely be the one I'd go for as a Tauer virgin. I love all 4 of the ones I've got, but the other 3 (Au Coeur du Desert, Lonestar Memories, Lonesome Rider) are much heftier. If you don't fall in love with LADDM you won't like them. (obviously, you are also a weirdo, but that's perhaps more subjective Grin)

MrsSchadenfreude · 14/11/2017 14:30

SOTD is Damn REbel Bitches. Great name. Don't mind it, it's quite inoffensive and won't make my teacher feel sick, as we are closeted together in a small room.

JanetStWalker · 14/11/2017 14:32

In Bois des Iles EDT today, it always has a very calming effect for some reason. Any of you seasoned sniffers tried the parfum, wonder how it compares? I'm hoping Santa might be kind this year Wink

CountFosco · 14/11/2017 15:18

SotD ckOne here, strategic decision to go for something dull because I'm also slathered in Vicks, have Olbas oil on my bra, and am eating Blackcurrent Halls Soothers and drinking hot Ribena like there's a world shortage of blackcurrents. Maybe I should have gone for ⚘🍇 Rosa Ribes 🍇⚘

Now home from work and off to bed and insisted DH take a half day to take the kids to read and draw with Korky Paul. DS is obsessed with Winnie the Witch so should love it!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 14/11/2017 18:36

My sample of Dryad arrived today. Just given myself a quick spray and I like it a lot. Very herby/woodsy rather than a 'bright' green like Ealing Green.

MrsMacNally · 14/11/2017 19:23

Count - there are surprising number of perfumes with a eucalyptus note listed on Fragrantica...hope you feel better soon.

explodingkittens · 14/11/2017 19:45

Feel better soon Count - this current cold bug is grim. You need a good balsamic blast of Lonestar Memories!

Well, DP is very taken by Addict. I may have to wear it more often Grin

explodingkittens · 14/11/2017 19:47

Apologies for double post, my iPad is giving up the ghost.

Judydreamsofhorses · 14/11/2017 20:05

SOTD is MMM Fireplace. (I may have also ordered the Tauer...)

CountFosco · 14/11/2017 20:11

Boldly glad you like it, agree the herbiness is gorgeous. Think it might have to be a birthday present from DH since he loved it so much.

Kittens just makes me feel doubly loved! I do think it's interesting which perfumes OHs like and how that compares with what we like ourselves.

This thread is very expensive, been reading up on Tauer and now want to try LADDM. Or maybe Lonestar Memories since it would be medicinal Wink. I have children I need to buy presents for people and I really don't think DS (5) will be impressed if FC gives me a stocking full of fragrance samples and gives him nothing.

explodingkittens · 14/11/2017 20:53

Judy we really are scent twins...

Count, it can get a wee bit expensive Grin But every perfumista needs to try LADDM. Les Senteurs have cheap samples...

OCSockOrphanage · 14/11/2017 21:09

I think I have just enough Lonestar Memories for one decent trial and as it makes me think of Wright's Coal Tar Soap, I am happy to send it on (when I find it again). It's an old Les Scenteurs dabber, if that matters. Any takers?

PerfumeIsAMessage · 14/11/2017 21:09

I want to try this Dryad that is a new favourite of the thread seemingly...

BluebellGal · 14/11/2017 21:17

Judy enjoy the Tauer - another one has succumbed Grin I received a dispatch email this evening so ver impressed. £11.95 is very reasonable for 5ml. I’m sure we’ll see a flood on eBay. Roll on the other 5ml minis

Sorry to hear you’re poorly fosco and it’s interfering with your olfactory enjoyment

Kittens I need to get me some Addict Wink I tried it on a card at Debenhams on Oxford Street and didn’t like it. But it gets a lot of love on here and I love vanilla. I need to get a proper sample and try it on skin because I believe you people and your love for it!

I am loving my MFK Baccarat Rouge today, have had a very shitty day and it is keeping my spirits up. Still going strong 14 hours later too. Wonderful stuff

BluebellGal · 14/11/2017 21:18

Sorry it’s count that’s poorlyBlush - get well soon FlowersCake
