Leopard print coat mid 40's - a bit Bet Lynch?

I've been toying with the idea of buying a leopard print coat.

I don't live in a big place so have wild ideas on what to wear but end up being more conservative for fear of what others think! Really stupid, I know, but I'm a bit shy.

Anyway, what do you think of leopard coats or jackets? Will it look a bit Bet Lynch or Liz McDonald? If I wear my usual boots and skinny jeans would it look ok?

Thank you Halloween Smile

I embrace my inner Bet Lynch proudly, love a bit of leopard print.

I am quite glad the Hush Leo coat is out of stock, I don't think I could have resisted ordering it just to see ...

I love leopard print. I only started wearing it after 40. I think when I was grown up enough not to give a toss.

I am triggered, triggered I tell you!
My mother frequently told me I looked like Bet Lynch because of my love of all things leopard print I toned it down a few years ago but my inner Bet is back and proud.
I have a beautiful mole skin (I think that's what it's called) grey leopard print coat that I wore last night. I adore it. I'm mid, OK nearly late 30s and blonde.
Op just do it.

My grandmother had one in her 70s, it was very classy, it was a decent quality coat and always worn with her usual smart trousers, blouse and jumper combo and she looked great, this was a good 20 odd years ago and she was such a glam nan (in a nice way, not in that she started trying go clubbing in mini-skirts), I think what you wear with it is the important factor.

I have a grey leopard print coat, it instantly makes me feel glam.
I don't think I look like Bet Lynch, to hell with it if I do.

LOL! I am 46 and luuurrrve my leopard print coat. Have had it a few years , never wear it with other leopard print and it looks good imo. Always get compliments. I think Bet lynches trashy look had more to do with the skin tight look with fishnets and stilettos cocker!

Anything you feel confident in wearing will look amazing on you no matter what age you are! Forget about hair colour, you could be bald and still look amazing in a leopard print coat!! It’s all about how confident you are when you wear it ;)

I also love my leopard print heels but again wouldn't wear the WITH the coast. they really dress up a plain black outfit.

I'm older than you and currently bitterly regretting all my years of appropriateness. I love my mum dearly but she is highly critical of what other women wear in terms of age and body shape and I think I internalised all that. I'd still love a bloody leopard coat. Go for it and enjoy it.

Well, it's done now! I've ordered a black/grey one (cool toned colouring here) so excitedly await it's arrival. I hope it's a keeper. Thank you for your words of wisdom FlowersGin

Funny thing is, I don't even like cats. I wonder what Freud would have to say about that Grin

The prime minister wears leopard skin...it's hardly daring.

I am a very conservative dresser of 50 and always have a leopard skin jacket on the go.
