Head shave to go grey

Has anyone gone down the buzz cut route in order to transition to grey?

I am seriously considering it and just bunging a hat on rather than go through another disappointing processing episode and putting off the inevitable or dyeing over it when it turns a weird shade.

I am absolutely comfortable being grey.

So has anyone bitten the bullet and if so how was it?

Bluesky the photos I've put up before was my hair with colour still in it. I forgot to take one of it with the colour cut out before I coloured it again. It really wasn't great.

its the same colour I always used, its more like a pearlised silver.

I still haven't dyed mine, I'm liking the colour that is coming through, but hate the stripe. Feeling very impatient and just want to be rid of the dyed hair. Did talk to a couple of hairdressers about adding some grey highlights to break up to stripe, but they weren't keen, due to all the box dye on my hair and worried about damage.

How is everyone?

I was staring at a woman on tram yesterday, she had amazing grey pixie cut. I looked like an oddball 😂

I have just made a hair appointment for Friday. I hope this cut will see a lot more colour cut out. I was visiting friends at the weekend and one of them has let her hair go grey. It looked brilliant. Very Jamie Lee Curtis.

I already had the pixie cut and had all the old brown dye stripped out a couple of weeks ago. It all looks v similar to Coco's new do actually.

I had intended to grow it out to see how grey I am, but I really love it bleached

I am getting used to my short hair, I like the cut. I also like the colour. But independent of each other... still not convinced by the combo of both!

I had mine cut today and toner put on. I can see the difference but no-one else seems to. No-one has commented on it at all. I think my coloured hair must have been close to my natural colour. I will try to do a pic tomorrow.

Here is my colour now. I am not sure it really looks grey at all even though it hasn't been coloured for 5 months and been cut 3 times!

Even though I love(d) the colour coming through, I've dyed it again with a permanent box I've got family round this weekend and having not lost any weight since summer I didn't feel confident with my grey stripe

That's a really pretty colour, bluesky .
I've had mine cut into a graduated, chin-length bob and I LOVE it! There is still a couple of inches of bleach on the ends, but the cut has actually made it look like an intentional ombre effect. My hair is is such better condition and I really do like my white 'highlights'.

This is my hair, about 9 months since a colour. My natural colour is such a mix of lighter shades now, I was very dark brown when I was younger. A good sprinkle of white/grey throughout it now, but not a massive amount.
I still am not used to the lighter tones. I feel like a sepia photo 😂

I haven't dyed my hair in years - I love my natural highlights! But didn't realise until I took this pic just how grey I am!

I pondered skinning off my long hair but eventually my clever stylist put silver toned streaks in it! Looks great. Now have about 6 inches of salt and pepper which I did do one more round of highlights in just to blend the regrowth.

Like so: fake salt and pepper!
