Question: if you are over 35, would you wear a bikini like this?

Dh has given me this itsy bitsy bikini. and expects me to wear it in public (when we go on holiday). I am wondering whether I can pluck up the courage.

Dh seems to have overlooked the fact that I am not a tanned 21-year-old Australian model with a Brazilian wax: I am actually a pale-skinned 36-year old and only 5ft 2, with a Caesarean scar. Size 8/10 but nevertheless have a few wobbly bits.

I am very flattered that dh thinks I look good in it, but it is ridiculously skimpy.

So, what would you do? Should I just get into the holiday spirit, wear it and flaunt it, or will I look ridiculous?

(Dds are 2 and 4 so I won't exactly be lounging by the pool on this holiday; I'll be chasing round after them.)

In some ways you should be flattered that your dh thinks you look good in such a suit, personally I would keep for

1. the bedroom
2. my garden (we have a totally private one where you can sunbathe nude if you want)

I wouldn't wear it in public though, sorry.
