What's a good felt pen liner

woodhill · 17/02/2018 18:54

I did use up a Clinique make up remover.

I'm enjoying using my benefit they're real mascara

Strawberryfield12 · 17/02/2018 19:06

Woodhill I don’t actually know, the one I use now is bourjous. But I can’t really say if it’s good or not so much, I always used a regular eye liner, this one was the first. Wasn’t bad, but had to be careful, any error and the only way to correct it was to take the makeup off the whole eye. With the pencil type cotton bud will sort most of mishaps.

chloechloe · 17/02/2018 21:27

Well done em! Is that you kwick*?!

Ladies I've fallen off the wagon and it's all Mumsnet's fault! Saw the Jo Malone freebie game was back and ordered a few bits that I don't need to get a free candle and cologne Blush So much for no spend 2018.

I have another empty, #55 that I'm a bit gutted about. Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud cream 50ml. I really really love this, amazing texture and lovely in winter but I have to use up some other bits before replacing.

ememem84 · 17/02/2018 21:48

woodhill I’m currently using a felt pen liner from body shop. It’s quite good. I’ve got a soap and glory one to use next.

ememem84 · 17/02/2018 21:57

Ann also ploughing through a clarins double serum. I bought this in the sale last summer it’s not a full size maybe half a full size but not a travel size. It came in a pack with two other not quite full sizes and I got it for £15! I think full size sells for around £70 so I got a bargain! Woohoo!!

CantChoose · 17/02/2018 22:16

A new username for kwick?!

I've finished a full size elemis white flowers eye make up remover - straight into the next one from stash, this is a staple for me.
Also finished a REN night cream. Can't remember what it was called but it was a bit nothingy. Didn't hate it but wouldn't repurchase.

CantChoose · 17/02/2018 22:18

Oh... I see I've posted about the night cream already. I def had a new empty I hadn't posted about, it must be something else! Will have to look in the bin to remind myself what it was Confused
Actually I think it was a perfume vial - a jasper Conrad one. Nothing special.
(I really hope I haven't already posted about this already too - if I have I've clearly got memory issues!)

Scarlettwaffle · 18/02/2018 07:16

I found my people! Blush
I have so many beauty products and candles stashed away. Constantly telling myself I’m on a spending ban (only to go and place multiple jo Malone orders.... Blush)
I’m going to join in to try and motivate me to use what I’ve got... so I’ll start with something I finished yesterday.

  1. Origins gin zing moisturizer
AnotherPinkiePieStory · 18/02/2018 08:25

Hi Scarlett
Join us. So good to get house space But we’re also enablers. Wink
I too fell hard for Jo Malone offer (and perfume thread one and Lush one. Eek). I’m overrun with perfume but looking better on bath products.
However went away and finished very old shampoo on DS and started curling my hair so used up 2 very old hair products (think 8+ years!) Blush Boots own heat protector and hair spray but I used to keep buying hair products hoping they’d work on my volume less barnet without actually styling or drying it!
Loads left from Valentine’s Day list but onwards to Easter list......

woodhill · 18/02/2018 08:42

I also finished my Aussie shampoo.

woodhill · 18/02/2018 08:42

Thanks for eyeliner recommendations

Scarlettwaffle · 18/02/2018 08:51

I’ve managed to resist the temptation of perfume parlour. So far.......!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 18/02/2018 09:18

I don’t scarlett. Recently purchased Samsara, Gucci rush, Creed island water, obsession and opium! All sprays as don’t like the rollar balls. All good classics to try! And not breaking bank. Sorry! Not helping!

CantChoose · 18/02/2018 09:40

Welcome scarlett and well done on the origins. I used to use that and really liked it. I fear I'll never use enough of my stash to need to buy a moisturiser. Ever. Blush

Experiment627 · 18/02/2018 15:05

Tis I!!!! Grin

Welcome scarlett!!

I resisted the 40% off Body Shop sale!!! Halo

No empties to report though...

Experiment627 · 19/02/2018 07:03

I have an empty!!!

  • Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum: light enough to wear under make-up and very inexpensive. Have another in the stash already!
Scarlettwaffle · 19/02/2018 18:22

I have another empty (technically not empty but it smelt a bit funky this morning so think I better chuck it - does that count?!)

  1. L’Oréal telescopic mascara.

I love this stuff, but not sure they even make it anymore. Which might give you some indication if the scale of my stash....!

CantChoose · 19/02/2018 20:41

Oh yes scarlett, a dodgy smelling mascara def needs the bin!
I've finished / got fed up with a pale pink Clinique nail varnish. There was very little left making it hard to get out and the brush bristles were thick and hard. To the bin for it!

ememem84 · 19/02/2018 22:06

cant if you drop a teensy bit of nail polish remover into it and shake it up it’ll revive....just saying

No empties here today.

I have unsubscribed from all beauty stores online. I know where they are. So can use if necessary. But do not need the temptation.

Experiment627 · 21/02/2018 06:30

@Scarlettwaffle EVERYTHING counts!!!!

Wow @ememem84 you are one strong mamma!

I have 3 empties - none on my 14 for Valentines list though:

  • Simple micellar cleansing water: use this when I am being lazy. Best dupe I have found for Bioderma
  • Organic Shop Algae & Clay strengthening shampoo: ok on my oily roots but quite stripping
  • Organic Grape & Honey gentle care hair conditioner: not nourishing enough after stripping shampoo

All of the above have replacements in my stash but my stash is a little lighter now Confused

ememem84 · 21/02/2018 08:07

Caved. Tommy girl (my back up perfume and an old fave) was in offer in boots yesterday. I bought my sis a touché eclat and ysl has a promo of £10 boots points if you bought two things. So hello plum mascara. I love this. Love love love.

CantChoose · 21/02/2018 08:45

emem I can’t bring myself to unsubscribe but I have started to delete without opening.

I’ve finished a full size L’Oréal clay mask, the red one. I had the black and green ones too (freebies!) and preferred those. I don’t have any full size masks now so hopefully I can plough through the minis! I have a rodial xrtreme peel mask but I’m a bit frightened to try it! Has anyone used it?

ememem84 · 21/02/2018 20:25

TRavel size clarins gentle eye make up remover - empty!

Woohoo

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 21/02/2018 23:07

Well done all. I’ve just spent ages in Superdrug before work meeting and may have bought a new MUR eyeshadow palette after recommendation on here. Lovely but not needed. Grrr. And got freeby palette which was def not needed.
Brown eyeliner, setting spray and nail polish remover were though (trying to feel better!)
And resisted lipsticks which are usually my downfall! Just lovely to have time to myself checking things out really and palette only £10. Desperately trying to justify more clutter!

No empties either but nearly there with 2 cleansers Blush
