I was doing that too and nearly finished one but I dropped it and it rolled under the bed! We're moving soon though so I'll find it again!!

Experiment627 · 26/02/2018 07:33

@Strawberryfield12 such a nice thing to do!!!

Wowzers llona great progress!

We are doing so well!!!

I have two empties today:

  • Autograph hydrating confidence boost primer 15ml: meh
  • The Ordinary coverage foundation: super disappointed by this. Is so cheap and had heard such great things about it... Sad
ememem84 · 26/02/2018 08:18

Almost finished a lip balm I suspect I’ll get through a few of these in the next few months. I’ve had Invisalign fitted and my lips are ridiculously dry.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 26/02/2018 17:32

Just finished an Aveda Hand Relief hand cream, scented with rosemary and mint. It was a 40ml tube, that I think I got in a magazine.

It was pretty good, but I didn't love the scent.

I have also finished a By Terry Baume de Rose lip balm. It's the version in the lip gloss tube with a wand, not the pot.
It was part of the set of 5 Baume de Rose lip balms/glosses. I have finished the classic version, and have the last 4 left - they are tinted and have a lot of shimmer. I am considering binning them, rather than using them as the colours are more opaque than I expected and I am really tired of rose scented products.

I will not be repurchasing.
The rose scent is too much - I can taste it when eating, can smell it longer after applying the product. Because of this, I doubt that I'll give the version in the pot a go.
It wore off quickly and I felt like re-applying all the time and my lips have been feeling dry after using it. It really just felt like a lipgloss.

CantChoose · 26/02/2018 19:56

RiskIt, if any of your baume de rose are unopened I'll buy them from you if you like, I've been meaning to try it for ages.

I've finished a primer, a pur correcting primer I think. I didn't like this to start with but it's grown in me. You need more than my smashbox one but once I got the hang of the right amount it was pretty good. I have a million samples to get through so won't be repurchasing any time soon!

RiskIt4Biscuit · 26/02/2018 20:41

Cant, sorry but I have opened and tried all of them Sad

Space NK do have a mini baume de rose for £14 if you’re interested: www.spacenk.com/uk/en_GB/makeup/lips/lip-gloss/mini-baume-de-rose-crystalline-MUK300026440.html

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 27/02/2018 09:06

Finished today:
Body Shop Chocomania Body Scrub - think it’s been long discontinued.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Fosming Gel 50ml - excellent, have repurchased large size and will refill the small one for travel.

Crazybunnylady123 · 27/02/2018 16:13

Lots more samples used up, body shop aloe day and night cream, youth drops bouncy face mask and Ethiopian coffee body lotion. Neals yard samples up next. Added a so....iced melon body spray however.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 27/02/2018 21:39

Oops. I fell into TKMaxx on the way home and came out clutching a fistful of lovely Ren rose otto bath products.

On the positive side, I’ve just been through my travel sizes box, and chucked out everything that was years old, separated and manky. I think some tubes were about 10 years old... Blush

Experiment627 · 28/02/2018 06:39

I have an empty!

  • Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey hand cream 30ml: LOVE the smell of this!!! I have just got out my last hand cream stashed to replace!!!!
ememem84 · 28/02/2018 14:57

Empty - make up brush cleaning spray. Yippee.

ememem84 · 28/02/2018 16:37

Have just gone through my make up. I have 5 lipsticks. I don’t wear lipstick. I may have to start wearing it.

I also have 6 mascaras. All unopened.

3 pallets to use. Plus 4 single eyeshadows. Two foundations. Two primers (one full size) and about a gazillion eyeliners.

I have also just sharpened my in use eyeliner pencil. Have about an inch and half left.

Scarlettwaffle · 28/02/2018 17:00

I’ve got another empty - soap & glory dry shampoo. I quite liked it - not as white powdery as my hated batiste, but prob not as good as some others I’ve tried....

SparklingMermaid · 28/02/2018 17:49

I was on this thread a while back under a different username. Made loads of progress but somehow drifted away Blush been having a clear out of the house and redecorating everywhere since January so have been quite busy. However I am back!

I have mostly kept up with the not buying things. I only buy something if I have ran out and always use it. However I have had a couple of small bits bought for me (thankfully easily used up stuff like bath bombs and essential oils)

Today I used up a deodorant, perfume and one of those body oil sprays.

One of my new yet resolutions was to go cruelty free on beauty products. I have switched my make up. However I'm a bit stuck for facial skincare. Whenever I do find a cruelty free brand they have products 'missing' I.e no toner or no exfoliating cleanser ect. I need a cleanser, toner and moisturiser along with a facial scrub and possibly a charcoal mask. Anyone know a cruelty free brand that offer all of these products but don't cost £70 each.

CantChoose · 28/02/2018 21:34

I've finished a super size tigi oatmeal and honey conditioner (aside from a little bit in a travel bottle for holidays - that doesn't count!) this is a staple for me, I always come back to it. But I have some herbal essences and some aveda, both of which were Christmas gifts, so I'll use them up next.

CantChoose · 28/02/2018 21:36

kalinka I'm jealous of your rose otto haul. I might have to fall into my local TK Maxx to see if they have any. It is very slippery out there, after all...

ememem84 · 01/03/2018 11:03

Just finished a tube of savlon. The skin around my fingernails is sore and cracked so use this to help in the winter. Must buy more (although have buckrtsnof sudocream which essentially does the same stuff).

SuzeD29 · 01/03/2018 16:19

Hi all 🤗 I'd love to join please. I have look fantastic beauty box contents etc coming out of my ears! Problem is I always want more 😳

Scarlettwaffle · 01/03/2018 17:59

Finished another this morning. Boring one though - just a Nivea shower creme/oil thing. With orchid - sounded lovely but wasn’t keen on the scent.
I’ve got so many better shower gels in my stash - seem to want to use the crap up first before getting to the good stuff, but dawned on me how long I’ve had some of them, they might start going off!
Does anyone else do this? I feel like I’ve bought so much stuff I want to try but then save it “for best”

ememem84 · 01/03/2018 20:04

Empty! Double serum. Yay! It felt nice but what on earth does it do?! I would use again but no way do I think it’s worth the price (£70 or something?!) I had a smaller size as it came in a gift pack.

woodhill · 01/03/2018 20:46

I must admit I like the double serum and got complimented about my skin today without any make up

ememem84 · 01/03/2018 21:01

wood oh I don’t dislike it. Apart from the price. Just not sure what it’s meant to do.

It’s lovely and moisturising. And smells nice.

woodhill · 01/03/2018 21:12

Yes it was expensive but got it for Christmas

ememem84 · 02/03/2018 09:37

Empty - sure deodorant. Boring empty but it’s one less thing I’ll have to pack up and move out.

CantChoose · 02/03/2018 23:39

We are hoping to move in four weeks emem, it's very motivating isn't it!

I've finished a 'lancer: the method' exfoliator - had a very pleasant evening doing a mini facial for myself. I liked this, it had a fresh, clean scent and was appropriately aggressive - I like to feel like a polish is doing something!! I would repurchase but have a couple of other samples to get though.

Also finished a sample ester Lauder sumptuous mascara. This was ok, not as good as hypnose or they're real.

There's actually some wriggle room in my skin care drawer thanks to this thread. I'm still really struggling to get through make up though, lip things, blusher and eyeshadow especially. They're never ending!
