I have an empty:

  • Anatomicals boob tube grab your melons shower gel 50ml: loved this! A friend gave it to me - fun concept and smelled great!
Experiment627 · 23/02/2018 07:34

I have another empty:

  • Philip Kingsley One More Day dry shampoo 50ml: I think think this is the best dry shampoo I have tried - does not add excessive grease and not too drying on the ends.

Happy Friday everyone!

Strawberryfield12 · 23/02/2018 11:31

Have had a good clearout this morning. Binned 3 bottles unfinished of SPF from previous years. Also binned almost empty shampoo and hair mask I picked up in one of my travels last year, the names are in Russian and I wouldn't know to translate them. Last time I used my scalp went all funny, so had to go. These two actually were on the Easter list.

On the opposite, I did have an order from Feel Unique this week. In all fairness I needed and eye cream and I had a decent cashback balance on Quidco. Thanks to Zeek discount offers I only had to pay £8 in real cash to get Thalgo and Elisabeth Arden eye creams and top it on with a sheet mask to avoid delivery charge. For once I don't feel any guilt about skincare shopping Grin.

Strawberryfield12 · 23/02/2018 11:33

Experiment I don't stop being impressed about the amount and frequency of the empties you have! There is at least one most of the days!!

Cupoteap · 23/02/2018 15:39

Ok shampoo and conditioner gone - herbal white grapefruit and mint - smells amazingly. Plus a small clinic eye cream meh

Experiment627 · 23/02/2018 18:01

Why thank you @Strawberryfield12 but most of my empties are vair small! But I do try and use copious amounts of everything so I get through stuff faster Grin

IPokeBadgers · 23/02/2018 18:43

Hello all! Been a while since I posted. Started a new job on Monday so hopefully that will help with reducing the stash....am wearing a full face make up each day and will have less time to shop! 3 empties to report:
Dr Organic coconut shampoo
Dr Organic coconut conditioner
Elemis Procollagen marine cream

Won't repurchase the Dr Organic stuff...it does nothing for my hair. The elemis cream I love and I have a couple spare in the stash due to QVC TSV....can't afford to pay full whack so tend to stock up. But will try to behave, I have a fair few moisturisers in the stash.

Scarlettwaffle · 23/02/2018 18:55

2 more empties!
Herbal essences crimson orange and mint shampoo AND conditioner - at the same time!!! That almost never happens! Shock

IPokeBadgers · 23/02/2018 22:05

Ooh, and another empty: garnier micellar. This works well but I find it a bit drying and it leaves an earthy smell on my skin so won't repurchase. I much prefer the superdrug B Pure micellar anyway so going to buy it in future.

Experiment627 · 24/02/2018 09:23

@IPokeBadgers good luck with your new job!

@Scarlettwaffle its like having a simultaneous orgasm!

Well done with all the empties!!!

I have some to report also:

  • Bio Oil 125ml: being liberally applied to both tummy and boobs!!! I have another in the stash.
  • Body Shop vitamin E overnight serum-in-oil: I LOVE this and will repurchase, although have a serum in my stash that I will use first
  • Organic Shop organic grapefruit and lime shower gel: have decanted rest to use as handwash. Really not a fan of this - wishy washy smell and does not feel very moisturising
Cupoteap · 24/02/2018 11:00

Need to find a new eye cream in the drawer to use up next

Currently using:

Clinique smart custom repair serum
Ren global protection day cream
Filorga time filler
Ester Lauder advanced night repair
Body shop Christmas shower gel

Finished
Clinique pep-start eye cream
Herbal white fruit and mint shampoo and conditioner

IPokeBadgers · 24/02/2018 15:15

Thanks @Experiment New job is a big change but my last job turned into hell on earth and made me very unwell last year. So i am excited for new year and new start.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 24/02/2018 15:37

Oooh, can I join?

I have way too much makeup and too many skincare products, and I want to use it all up, and only have products I know, trust and love.

I have just used up my daily moisturiser; Clinique Redness Solutions. I've used this for years, and I really love it, but I've been keen to try something new. If I don't find anything cheaper or better, I'll be repurchasing, but I don't really like spending £41 for a moisturiser.
I'll be trying the SKINeffect Intensive Anti-Ageing Face Cream - said to be a decent dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I bought some on offer a while back for my mum and kept one for myself to try.

I have also just used up the Guerlain Super Aqua-Serum.
I think it was too much for my face, so I've been using it for my body, mixed with some other body lotion and some Dermalogica oil. I will not be repurchasing this for sure.

The other day, I binned a lot of Kiko/M&S eye shadow sticks. I don't use them enough and I am not sure if they were smelling right. So they had to go.

I have a list of stuff I want to use up - creams, primers, lipstick and so on. Some of the products I bought and used a few times and then forgot about, and I'm finding it difficult to remember to use them as they really aren't doing anything for me. At least I'm learning from this :)

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 24/02/2018 16:24

Can I join in too? I’m close to finishing a Body Shop scrub and butter, my La Roche Posay day cream and an Olioligy shampoo. Too much stuff in my cupboards, but I can never resist a good buy!

ememem84 · 24/02/2018 22:17

DH came back from a work trip today. HE brought me a new supply of clarins hand and nail cream. Yay! I use this like it’s going out of fashion.

Experiment627 · 25/02/2018 07:05

Welcome @RiskIt4Biscuit and @kalinkafoxtrot45 you are in good company!

I may have spent £2O on beauty stuff in Primark yesterday

Strawberryfield12 · 25/02/2018 08:14

Just realised my mum and sister are staying us over mothering weekend. Although they celebrate Mother’s Day in May back home, thought I would make a little detail for them. Got about 5 brand new makeup bags stored away. Have filled two of them with some nice skincare and makeup which I think each of them would like. That’s 2 bags and 20 items going. Result! :)

Cupoteap · 25/02/2018 09:50

Yay I did a similar thing for sil bday Smile

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 25/02/2018 13:31

A good friend of mine is married to a guy from Kosovo and lovely beauty products aren’t easily affordable there. His nieces love it when I have a clearout and give them some nail varnishes, perfume samples, etc. I should set aside a spare makeup bag or two and start filling them up!

CantChoose · 25/02/2018 15:57

Well done everyone. I've been on a bit of a roll the last few days. Hope I remember them all!

Mini Lancôme bifacial eye make up remover. Love this but will refill from my full size elemis website flowers which I love equally.

Medium sized Liz Earle C&P. I'd really been looking forward to using this but it made my skin a bit stingy this time so I'm not sure I'll rebuy this time.

A travel sized body lotion of Dior pure poison. I was given a set of the perfume and body lotion. I used the perfume a while ago and found it too heavy but the lotion was quite nice.

A sample tube of regenerist face moisturiser. Quite nice but nothing special.

Phew! I might have a bath this evening too so will get through some bubble bath!

IlonaRN · 25/02/2018 17:21

Hello! I'm afraid it's been a couple of months since I introduced myself, but I don't get much time to read/post with a toddler!

I have, however, been doing very well on the using-up front! i have started swimming once a week, and have almost used up all my hair sample sachets by taking them with me to use after my swim.

I was very good in January, and only one little purchase (mini lipgloss) was made. However this week has seen me order new deodorants (I prefer natural ones, and have to bulk buy to avoid postage), as well as a large order from Angela Langford, whose samples did wonders for my hormonal skin.

Here is my list of use-ups so far this year:

Earth Conscious Mint Natural Deodorant 60 g
Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser 125 mL
Skincere Facial Serum
Pukka Facial Oil 2 mL
Skincere Eye Serum 15 mL
Clinique Take the Day Off 30 mL
Philosophy Purity Made Simple 6 mL
The Natural Deodorant Co Clean Deodorant Balm (Lavender & Chamomile) 15 mL
Herbal Essences Shampoo 10 mL
Herbal Essences Conditioner 10 mL
Antipodes Organic Lip Balm 4.5 g
Dead Sea Spa Magik Pro Toner 260 mL
Dr Hauschka Melissa Day Cream 5 mL
Merumaya Exfoliator 5 mL
Aubrey Organics Cleansing Shampoo 10 mL
Aubrey Organics Rosa Mosqueta Conditioner 10 mL
Aubrey Organics Rosa Mosqueta Moisturising Lotion
Biotherm Serum Sachet
Angela Langford Sweet Cheeks sample ~3 mL
Dr Hauschka Spruce Bath 10 mL
Dr Hauschka Colour Correcting Powder 8 g
Natio Antioxidant Hand & Nail Cream 100 g
Angela Langford Scrub Up sample ~3 mL
Angela Langford Bloom and Glow sample ~3 mL
Dr Hauschka Cleasing Cream 5 mL
Skincere Cream Cleanser 100 mL

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/02/2018 17:28

Finished- ('cos I've been travelling)
small Elemis facewash (but I have a full sized one to use now)
small henna shampoo/conditioner
SoaperDouper shower gel, smelled like grapefruit but IIRC it was passionfruit or something - will 100% rebuy this Grin

Finished some M&S liquid soap in downstairs loo

Bought some Superdrug Optimum , I read it on here was being discontinued and it is Half Price so , yeah, why not Wink

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/02/2018 17:29

I use some of the the Optimum already so not just buying because its reduced, it was a proper "I need this" buy.

CantChoose · 25/02/2018 19:33

That's amazing, Ilona! I'm impressed you used up a lip balm, I still have some from when I was at school, they seem immortal!
I had my bath and used up roques O’Neil therapie equilibrium bath and shower essence travel size. This was on my 25 to Xmas list so I'm a bit late!!
This smelled lovely but left a residue on my skin. It feels nice and soft now but I prefer bubbles really so I won't repurchase. If I want a non bubbly one I prefer the yoga one I used before and that's often in TK Maxx too.
I have also painted my nails and noticed one of my other mini nails inc ones had separated really badly so I threw that away, there wasn't much in it anyway.

IlonaRN · 25/02/2018 20:01

Thanks @CantChoose. I have found that having a lip balm by the side of my bed and applying it each night before going to sleep really helps - both in having less-chapped lips and in getting through them eventually :D
