Kwick - on YouTube some of the beauty channels have video series of PAW = Palette A Week where they look at their palette collections and commit to using a different one each week. It does seem to be a great way to encouragea letter rotation and really enjoying what you have.

Hi everyone, I've been a lurker for ages, hope it's ok to join in.

Dragon is that a top or dress you're wearing, the neckline and colour are fab, where's it from?

I'm struggling with eyeshadow pallets. I have a Naked Original one that I have literally used something out of everyday for about 4 years and I have yet to hit pan on ANY COLOUR! 😂
I also have a Naked Basics 2 pallet waiting in the wings and I received a Naked Basics Ultimate for Christmas so I can safely say I probably, at this rate, have enough basics eye shadow for the rest of my life nearly!
I also got a High Definition mini pallet of five shades in the LF advent calendar in shades of, yep, you guessed it,creams browns and bronzes! So I'm set.
I've also got two individual UD shadows on the go but I am hopeful I will have finished at least one of them by Easter 2020

Also, if anyone really does have too much stuff and needs to pare down, the Give and Make Up charity that collects cosmetics and toiletries for women in refuges has opened for donations again.

I have 3 pallets. A naked basics one. A Mac 9 shade one and a bare minerals one. I may try the rotation thing.

I’ve hit pan on my naked one on two shades. Woop.

When I’ve whittled down the stash significantly I’m going to buy a lovely every day dior pallet. One of the quad ones. Nice neutral shades. I also want Chanel rouge noir nail polish. For my toes. But first must use up all for lotions and potions. So I have nice feet’s.

I may treat myself for my birthday. In October.

Oh thanks, BigStripey - I have a whole shoebox full of brand new products that I had ready to send but they didn't need any so I will send that off. I'm actually really cross with myself, there's hundreds of pounds worth of stuff in there. And I've still got so much to use up...
I finished a sample tube of molton brown ultra light moisturiser. This smelled lovely but really was ultra light - too light for even my super oily skin! Also felt oddly sticky. I wouldn't repurchase.

Lone it's a top, got it a few years ago in peacocks, I end up remembering I have it and wear it about twice a year!

It's fab Dragon the colour really suits you too.

I have not got any empties to report but did the morning decide to repurpose the Look Fantastic advent calendar box and have filled with all my eyeshadow pallets and quads. I am going to try and rotate through much more - I know that approach is not great for using up but I like creating different looks every day

Slow progress for me these last couple of weeks.

Only one empty - full size Chanel mascara. Really loved it. The Bobbi Brown one I've moved onto feels very poor in comparison; and I've previously loved Bobbi Brown ones!

Empties!

Full size Liz Earle Skint tonic 200ml. Have a stash. Staple product. though will try and use up some of the sample/travel size ones. I only need one in my wash bag for travelling and one in my swim bag, the rest can be used.

Batiste dry shampoo 50ml. From my wash bag - will have to repurchase at some point.

Weleda stretch mark massage ol sample (2ml). has been cluttering up cupboard for 3+ years!

Annayake sample anti wrinkle cream. (2ml)

Pretty sure my palmers self tan body lotion is almost gone. Only a few more uses. Yay!

50ml (sample bottle) of LE skin tonic. Found it half empty in the cupboard so used up before I moved onto a new full size one.

Also got together a few other LE sample bits to put in a care package for a friend who's unwell (sample sizes of skin tonic, face mask with muslin cloth, and eyebright).

A small empty: a 40mm nuxe reve de miel body lotion that I brought home from a winter city break to Brussels in 2016! Love the fragrance but unfortunately I am not good / consistent with body creams or lotions, so won't purchase a full size.

Pleased that so far today I have not succumbed to the QVC Elemis skin superfood TSV.....I did a proper makeup/skincare/toiletries stocktake last weekend and almost filled a notebook which was very sobering!

Very impressed with the idea of a stocktake ipoke - I don't think I can face seeing it all written down!!
I've been attaching with renewed vigour as hoping to move in the next few weeks.
I've finished a full size 'amber heaven' body scrub, this smelled lovely but was very mild (it did say 'daily' in the tube - who on earth has time for that??) so not very effective. I wouldn't repurchase but would buy the shower gel or body lotion again.

I've also finished two body lotion samples - an elemis hand and body cream from a flight (I have lots of these) and a gilcrist and soames one which I didn't like, it was thin and had a marine type smell that I'm not keen on.
almost at the end of the lipstick that was in my Xmas list, it will die eventually!!!

I may have had a bit of a splurge in Superdrug

My bathroom is nearly ready and I cannot wait to put my toiletries in the new vanity unit with drawers.

Haha kwick I agree with dragon - I need to live vicariously through your purchases...

So... I have made a start.

Have picked out ten items I use everyday, picking out a few oldest items and a few newer things to make it easier to use up.

So far only samples used , first one Madara eye cream and second one elemental herbology radiance and vitality serum.
Almost finished a Elemis 15ml night cream and half way through a body shop body butter, but it’s only 50ml.

Ann twitching to buy ysl mascara in plum (my fave) and a dior pallet. It’s been a stressful week and I’m an emotional spender.

I do not need either of these. If I buy it’ll be next week with my boots points. But if not I’ll wait until I’m back at work in May and have been paid! Aaaah! #mustnottwitch

Doesn’t help that feelunique have a bundle of deals at present....

• Shay & Blue Blood Oranges spray fragrance 10ml: a bit too I don't know what for me but it was ok
• Korres Wild Rose advanced repair sleeping facial 16ml: just not moisturising enough for me

Was just thinking this morning how many lip balms I have (one next to bed, one in handbag, one in bathroom, 2 clinique chubby sticks, 2 brand new in stash) and then emptied out an old handbag and found 3 more plus 2 chubby sticks! (plus a mini hand cream, sample tinted moisturiser).

My zeal for finishing things is extending to the rest of the house. Super happy at finishing a box of darjeeling teabags that has been cluttering up the cupboard for ages!
