I've finished a primer from an advent calendar, studio 10 I think. Didn't like this at all, it was quite thick and sticky. I didn't like the bottle either although I realise it was a mini sample one so I shouldn't judge.
Also finished the jlo glow vial. I didn't hate this but wouldn't repurchase (not sure they still make it anyway!).
Regenerist moisturiser sachet sample - nice enough but too rich for my skin really.
Finally, I threw out the full size mascara from the m&s advent today. Can't get on with it al all. There wasn't all that much left anyway after just a month of use as I have to keep wiping the brush clean to stop it clumping. Good riddance!

CantChoose · 26/01/2018 11:03

kwick I have the this works primer to use next. I'm a bit confused by what it's supposed to do to be honest so interesting to hear that the answer to that might be 'not very much'!
i poke I love that Lancôme eye makeup remover. I honestly think it's worth the money as it lasts forever. I use either that or the elemis white flowers one. I've tried others but am always left disappointed!

DragonNoodleCake · 26/01/2018 19:53

Girls night in at a friends house calls for sparkly jeans, killer cleavage, glam hair and full face right? Grin

CantChoose · 27/01/2018 01:52

Dragon I hope you had / are having a lovely evening and looking splendid and sparkly, of course!

Mummycatface · 27/01/2018 08:11

dragon I’m intrigued by the sparkly jeans...

kwick · 27/01/2018 08:32

Is it wrong to just want to rush into a Superdrug and buy ALL the makeup??????

strawberry I feel much the same - so glad your beauty stash is giving you pleasure

FFS Dragon why is cyclopentasiloxane in everything????? I will never achieve your luscious locks!!!
Please can we have a picture of the full glam look?

I have an empty:

  • Nivea age defying q10 hand cream: really liked this and whilst I also like more expensive brands, this does the job well and is cheap(er)!

Finished a full size batiste dry shampoo yesterday.

Will restock when I'm in the UK (so expensive over here) and have a mini one in my travel bag to tide me over if needed (more an emergency product - lasts me ages, but definitely something I need to have in the cupboard).

However, got sucked into Mrs Gloss and bought their box with 8/9 full size products, mostly body and skincare. The only think I can imagine not using is the body brush as I already have one (will try and regift).

Trying to make a dent in my make up though, so even though it's Saturday and we're not going anywhere I have my face on including eyeshadow (Maybelline rose gold palette I think) and an ancient No 7 sheer lipstick that is at least 15 years old (the end of it is in sight if I use it!).

DragonNoodleCake · 27/01/2018 13:20

Mummy they are black jeggings with a silver sparkle through them - I got them from Simply Be! I can't find them on the website though.

Kwick here's the obligatory posing selfie (taken the minute I finished my makeup so as it still looks nice)

I drank a full bottle of red wine 🍷 I'm ok but shattered today!

woodhill · 27/01/2018 13:58

It looks fab Dragon

I feel like I'm fighting off a virus. Sore throat etc. Loads of housework needs doing etc.

Enjoying using my Clarins double serum.

Gusthetheatrecat · 27/01/2018 16:06

I have been reading this thread and enjoying it tonnes ... but then realised that the reason I was enjoying it so much was because I was picking up ideas for THINGS TO BUY! Which is surely the antithesis of this thread! Gah. I did manage to stop myself buying the Mrs Gloss Box though. I am a Beauty hoarder through and through but have made a deal with myself that I will not buy any more skincare or toiletries until I have actually run out of something.

Gusthetheatrecat · 27/01/2018 16:08

Oh no, but I just started reading ‘the big sniff’ thread! I absolutely do not need any more perfume.
I don’t.
Nope.
goes to check link

FrustratedFrugal · 27/01/2018 17:36

Wow Dragon you look really glamorous, well done!

DragonNoodleCake · 27/01/2018 18:10

Gus we are all very guilty of getting tips for what to buy from each other!
You are in good company Grin

Thanks all, I've fallen back in love with getting glammed up thanks to this thread. It's making me feel better about being an overweight grandmother!

kwick · 27/01/2018 19:43

Dragon you just look amazing! 😍😍😍😍

Get well soon wood Thanks

Welcome gus!!!

I tried one of my 3 new pallets 😌 this morning and I love it!!!!

Blush

Kwick I must have missed the pallet purchase. Tell me more.

I think I'd like to throw all my eyeshadow pallets and buy 1 holy grail one. I want a high pigmented 'cool and blushed nude shades' with mostly matte shadows and just 1 or 2 shimmer light shades

kwick · 27/01/2018 21:08

Oh Dragon I may have felt too guilty to share... I had a massive Superdrug haul just before Christmas but I did not get the parcel until the new year - I bought a Loreal pallet (which arrived damaged and I returned), 2 MUA pallets and an extra one that was free - that is the one I used today - really nice. Browns and greens and soft pinks.... hmm sounds yucky but was nice I promise!!!

If you do that Dragon can I have all your old pallets? .....!!!! WHAT AM I SAYING!!!! There is no saving me!!!! I have enough eyeshadow to last me the rest of my days and yet I still want more!!!!

Anyhoo came on to report an empty:

  • Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm 15ml: nice but cannot see how it works better than the cheaper coconut oil alternative
OP posts:
kwick · 27/01/2018 21:25

Ooooo I have another empty!

  • This Works Sleep Plus pillow spray: this is really old - and I think I preferred the newer version I finished a while back that was from a recent advent. No idea how much full size costs but I imagine lavender oil is cheaper - and I have loads of that!
OP posts:
Mummycatface · 28/01/2018 12:23

Empty’s to report!!

  • clarins travel size hand and nail treatment cream. Love this. It’s my staple hand cream. I tend to always get more than one when it’s on offer.
  • boots coconut shampoo. Cheap 75p shampoo. Was nice but I’m so glad it’s over.

Moving on to tresseme keratin silk shampoo and conditioner.

CallingAllEngels · 28/01/2018 19:21

2 empties:

-sample sachet of EL night repair (not sure how much was in it but decanted into a pot and lasted 4-5 days)
-200ml Zwitsal body moisturiser (meant for babies - shows how much I moisturised my 2...my youngest is 3!)

dragon I agree - this thread is really making me use my products. Was bare-faced today but have given my face a pamper this evening and moisturised body and feet.

Crazybunnylady123 · 29/01/2018 15:41

I need to join. I have to use up my horde. Hello everyone!

BigStripeyBastard · 29/01/2018 22:50

Hello Crazybunnylady.
Made some headway into the 14 before Valentines. Hope to finish my shampoo in the morning and can get started on my Lush solid shampoo bar. I'm trying to cut down on my plastic bottle use and figure various soap bars instead of bottles is a reasonable start. I also plan to try and buy things in glass jars/bottles in the future.

Ashamed of my beauty product hoard – part 7
kwick · 30/01/2018 07:38

Welcome @Crazybunnylady123 !!!

@BigStripeyBastard I commend you!

You know what? I think I am going to breakout all the pallets I have in my stash and rotate them! I like doing a new look every day and using a different pallet helps inspire the look. I need to get one of those letter rack things so they look neat and tidy.

Did anyone else keep the Look Fantastic advent box? Maybe I could use that?

OP posts:
CallingAllEngels · 30/01/2018 15:57

bigstripey I have lots of lush soap waiting for me once I've got through my current bottle of shower gel. Would love to try shampoo bars as well.

Sounds like a good idea kwick. I'm really trying to actually use eye shadow since I currently have 3 pallets and 2 benefit compacts on the go!

CallingAllEngels · 30/01/2018 17:30

Another empty!

Zwitsal 100ml cream which is supposed to protect little faces from wind and cold. A bit thicker than a body cream which is what I've been using it up as.

Now I can move onto the nice tube of Korres body milk I got in my free Amazon beauty box with my Christmas shopping.
