I got lots of lovely beauty things for Christmas, DH and I got home today and tried to put it away and it won't even fit in the overflow cupboard Blush
Excited to start using though!!

FrustratedFrugal · 28/12/2017 09:34

I did a bad bad thing - a new lipstick, Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet La Malicieuse from the end of the year sales #cravingbright 🤦🏼‍♀️

Looking great frugal. Such exciting goodies everyone!
I’m at in-laws which is particularly trying this year so trying hard not to just buy online to ease my disgruntlement!
Ooh look at the Boots sale.......

suchatiredbunny · 28/12/2017 12:14

Frugal I love that lippy on you!
Any thoughts on Mac foundation? I got a concealer in a perfect shade and wondered if the foundation would be worth buying but I've not used a Mac one before.

comeagainforbigfudge · 28/12/2017 15:28

frugal that's a lovely colour on you

So I'm going to aim for 18 by end of January.

Here's my list:

Emma hardie cleanser
M&s ultimate sleep cream
Gatineau face cream
Ameliorate body lotion
Body shop body butter
Lancome youth activating concentrate
Loreal hairspray
Lavera all round cream
Instant moisture glow ysl
Balmi lip balm
Pur correcting primer
Front row High gloss serum (hair)
Lancome face cream
Native unearthed natural deodorant
La vie est belle
Glam glow face mask
Garnier face mask
Primark face mask

They are mostly all sample/travel sizes from advent calendar and various beauty boxes, or single use masks. My 18 will barely make a dent but it's a start!

trigger2 · 28/12/2017 15:49

Planned purchase- I went to look for serum/ oil for face & picked up The Ordinary Rosehip oil, loving it so far and surprisingly inexpensive

CantChoose · 28/12/2017 17:29

Fab lipstick, frugal!

I was thinking your list was suspiciously reminiscent of the m&s calendar, comeagain. I thought I would finish the filorga mask (love this) last night but there's a tiny bit left. Not enough for a full face really but too much to have just slathered on...

CantChoose · 28/12/2017 17:30

I did briefly look round the sales yesterday and was almost tempted by the big S&G set in boots as well as some other bits but refrained entirely. Well, apart from an m&s body butter set - £9 down from £30 and I was getting low. So that doesn't count, right??

kwick · 28/12/2017 17:35

@CantChoose what does the Filorga mask do? I have used it twice so far and I am not quite sure Confused

I went to John Lewis today to spend gift vouchers. I got 3 pairs of earrings (these are my 15 years service gift) and then some expensive hair products 😬 but if they work I will be over the moon. I also went to Boots to get some essentials like Lemsip and FRER Grin

mintmagnummm · 28/12/2017 18:12

Kwick what hair products did you buy?? And what is FRER??

Bunny I never got on with any MAC foundations, I really liked some of the formulas and finishes on my skin but they have all broken me out and upset my skin in some way unfortunately *
*

CantChoose · 28/12/2017 18:42

Ooo good luck with the FRER kwick 🤞
The mask used last night made my skin tone even and feel lovely and smooth. I have acne, mostly to my chin, and generally oily skin so wouldn't repurchase this mask really but it was a noticible improvement on my non acne bits!!

CantChoose · 28/12/2017 18:44

Which earrings did you buy? I have a £75 JL voucher and am thinking of buying this m.johnlewis.com/links-of-london-aurora-bi-metal-cluster-necklace-silver-rose-gold/p1629271 (sorry for long link)

usernameinfinito · 28/12/2017 20:54

Good luck with the FRER kwick!
I have not finished as many products this month as I did in November because of the m&s calendar.

Will put my list up on the 31st Smile

comeagainforbigfudge · 28/12/2017 21:10

I can confirm that to be the case Choose

I still have loads of stuff from last years as well ^^

But I am DETERMINED to plough through it all.

kwick · 29/12/2017 08:30

@mintmagnummm a FRER is the Holy Grail pregnancy test Grin I had 5 £1 off vouchers so I bought 5, each with 2 tests inside. I am having IVF again later this month so I am now all sorted for the testing madness that descends in the 2 week wait!

For the hair products I bought a travel size dry shampoo from Philip Kingsley, a texture spray and a cream from a brand I cannot remember the name of - will share deets later.

I bought 3 silver earrings - a Karen Millen stud thingamybob, and then a small dangly diamond pair and can't remember for third... am no longer at home (puppy sitting at my mum's until 2/1). Then I got some cheap big hoops half price at Boots.

Puppy was a very good doggy last night but I had a terrible nights sleep 🤒🤧😷

JL couldn't supply my Clarins double serum gift set but found it in Debenhams instead. I ordered it from DH for myself.

I won't buy anymore make up but did buy a mavala eyelash treatment in JL clearance.

I need to clean out my stuff to find things that I've mislaid

Perfume goes on forever

woodhill · 29/12/2017 08:40

Hope IVF is successful Kwik, will be thinking of you in the new year

CantChoose · 29/12/2017 08:47

Haha, thanks comeagain Grin

Completely agree about perfume woodhill I had a vanilla perfume oil on my 25 list, I've used t every night (too sickly for day but quite comforting for sleep), it's only 15ml, it wasn't even full and there's still about half left!
NOTHING lasts as long as lipstick/lip balm though!!

Cupoteap · 29/12/2017 08:49

Morning all planning and having a look through everything and clearing some stuff out to make room for my 2 trips to Superdrug and boots yesterday Blush

curragh · 29/12/2017 21:55

Fab bag em, enjoy using it Smile

Best of luck with your next cycle kwick

I didn't receive and beauty gifts for Xmas but did get a bag of goodies from my mum for my birthday. All practical but nice bits e.g. LRP lipikar wash and balm. Will all be used next year

I have 3 empties
81. Emma Hardie moringa cleansing balm from M&S calendar. Love a balm cleanser but couldn't justify purchasing a full size
82. Palmolive honey bath cream. Basic but nice...will need to replace as no bath products left in the stash
83. Oilatum body lotion - sample size.

Need to sort through my make up and samples before deciding on my next list

ememem84 · 29/12/2017 23:40

Finished a trial size sample of double serum.

ProseccoMamam · 30/12/2017 01:14

Nivea lotion has been used up after my shower

Now onto my dove lotion tomorrow
