Welcome prosecco :) I think it depends on the shop tbh. You used to be able to send it to refuge but a while back I got a big parcel ready and it said on the website they'd had so much that they couldn't accept any at the tome. Might have changed now though.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 20/12/2017 11:26

Lovely pictures everyone!
em your boy is gorgeous. How wonderful.
frugal you look about 14! What an amazing app!
I’m ploughing through and gifting some of my Sephora haul so feel almost virtuous.
Managed to use up Cetaphil moisturiser: lovely if bit boring, mouthwash: yawn, make up fixing spray from Kiko: not convinced, very manly rituals shower gel: too minty for all over washing Shock
Then binned a very dodgy smelling body scrub and mascara that had been open for ages. Also found 2 more make up bags with stuff in that had been forgotten about in old work bags. Oh man. I’m going to be at this a while!

CantChoose · 20/12/2017 15:08

Just finished a hotel shower gel at the gym. I was going to refil from my main one but it had a paper label that went a bit gross.
I put on some elastasizer for the way home, about to go and wash it off. It's on my 25 list but I don't think I will quite finish it in time.

FrustratedFrugal · 20/12/2017 17:59

Em he’s so cute, a total heartbreaker! 😘

Boring empties, another Bariste dry shampoo and toothpaste. Have used a ton of samples, none of them worth my time - Vichy, Garnier, Lumene... Glad to be rid.

curragh · 20/12/2017 18:38

Just popping on quickly to say Awwww, what a cutie em. I have 2 DS and boys are the best! They are 2 and 4 yo and quite enjoy a bit of body lotion much to DHs disgust Grin

No progress to report, life has been getting on top of me a bit. However, finished work today for the Xmas break so will try to get into a good routine of body lotion, make up etc over the next couple of weeks

kwick · 20/12/2017 18:41

@ememem84 both gorgeous 😍
Well done with the moisturising!

Welcome @ProseccoMamam!!!
Charity shops will accept fully sealed products. You local women's refuge may accept opened ones.

@chloechloe maybe I should see if I can get an advent on sale?

Have a 111Skin gold brightening facial treatment mask on my chops as I write.

Two more empties: a lovely limited edition shower foam from Rituals advent calendar. Would be tempted to buy full size but will restrain myself and refrain 😊
The roll on is from m&s and has been kicking about the house for at least 3 years....not fond of it as it takes ages to dry....there might have been another couple of uses in it but it had leaked, gone a bit sticky and I just decided it was time for bin!

Have definitely fallen off the bandwagon a bit, not been very active lately but I have a few empties to report:

[x] travel size L'Occitane cherry blossom shower gel;
[x] travel size Shiseido extra creamy cleansing foam (loved it, looking forward to repurchase once I've used up some of my stash);
[x] sample of Lancome Visionnaire eye cream (have two full size tubes waiting...Blush):
[x] sample of Chanel Chance perfume.

My motivation this past couple of months has really gone down the drain a bit, but I'll really aim for a ban on beauty product purchases in January. God knows I need it. Marie Kondo would have a heart attack if she dropped by...

woodhill · 21/12/2017 19:54

Used a full size sanctuary shower gel and an Elizabeth Arden cream but have a load of small, sizes from M&S

suchatiredbunny · 21/12/2017 21:06

I've finished a tub of Celestial moisturiser from lush which I really, really liked. Would definitely buy again, although it would be too heavy in the summer.
I bought a Total Effects (used and liked for a while now) but it's been reformulated snd is a bit sting-y. Will use up but not sure if I'll be able to use long term now which is a shame as it really suited my skin. So picked up a day cream in Superdrug, from the range that's aimed at different age groups and that's loverly, and smells like cold cream, I like it a lot.

kwick · 22/12/2017 07:02

I have an empty!

  • Alpha-H Liquid Gold with glycolic acid 50ml: this is very effective (particularly with spots I get on my bum 😔). I have another one in stash, but I also have The Ordinary equivalent which is a fraction of the price so if that works then I will stick with that.

I have been decluttering loads (as I catch up on the 70 episodes of EastEnders I had recorded 😬) but that has all been paper - as do I not only hoard beauty products but I also hoard paper.... anyhoo I am slowly making in-roads.

woodhill · 22/12/2017 08:18

Re paper, So do I Kwik and my freezer needs its own thread

Lol at your use for liquid goldSmile

Badgers for some reason I haven't used anything from the Rituals advent calendar yet...in fact I bought a pretty box today to store my Rituals stuff in for when I want a treat.....

I feel my Mumsnet holiday has set me back a lot with my product de-stashing

DragonNoodleCake · 22/12/2017 20:51

Em your boy looks adorable.

I too am in love with DGS who is nearly 15 months now!!! I still don't get how I can be a DGM at my age so it's a good job he's too cute.

ProseccoMamam · 23/12/2017 01:04

Just an empty dry shampoo to report. However I'm now in the habit of using a body oil spray each morning (after deodorant, perfume and hair oil). Could take a while to use up as I currently have 12 bottles Blush

I thought DH said I smelled lush this morning, turns out he meant the shop

trigger2 · 23/12/2017 12:58

Just a couple here, nothing exciting.

Sanex roll on sensitive - started making me itch but I finished it.

Green People scent free moisture cream - old so I used it on my legs.

Body Shop Hemp body butter - small one, not keen on the smell but finished it.

Simple Shampo - unscented, nice plain shampoo.

Next to finish will be:
Avene Recovery Cream
Avene Gentle Cleanser- love both of these and will repurchase.

chloechloe · 23/12/2017 14:39

I have a few more:

  1. Phyto Kerastase shampoo 50ml. This was in a stupid metal tube which meant you couldn't squeeze it all out.

  2. An unexpected empty, a twist up brow pencil from the LF calendar I raided in October.

I think that's my grand total for Xmas. We're now at the PIL until the end of the year and I left most of the nearly finished bottles at home. Instead I've brought lots of lovely goodies from my advent calendars in the hope I'll get some time to pamper myself while I'm here.

ememem84 · 23/12/2017 18:43

SMall soap and glory shower gel used up. A travel size.

Met my boss’ wife yesterday for a baby cuddle and a coffee and she gave me the massive soap and glory gift box. Woop.

CantChoose · 23/12/2017 21:21

Finished a Rosie autograph lip thing 'super model smile' from a previous m&s advent. I really loved this and would have repurchased if I didn't have enough to last me an entire lifetime. I'm not even exaggerating Blush

curragh · 24/12/2017 07:49

Happy Christmas to all🎄

I gave a nearly full tube of Superdrug naturally radiant HC cleanser to my sister yesterday (no. 80). I know many love it but I found it too drying on my skin. Should suit her though.

Overall I have finished 11 of my 12 for Christmas list and used / given away 80 products since I joined the thread in mid May Grin

I need to sort out my make up / skin care drawer during the holidays and will start to think about my next list (14 for Valentines??!)

Hope all you lovely ladies have a very happy Christmas Xmas Smile

CantChoose · 24/12/2017 08:34

I am Home For Christmas and thought you might want to see my secondary stash in my childhood bedroom.... none of this can be any younger than about 6 years old, most of it dating from pre 2006. It should probably all go in the bin but it seems such a waste! One day I'll be brave. BlushBlushBlush

When I was young I used to use and love a foundation that was so runny it was literally like water but I actually really liked it, it had good coverage and wasn't all thick and heavy so didn't accentuate the texture of my skin. I used to tip bottle up with my sponge over the top then just dab it on skin, cannot find anything like that any more do any of you know of anything like this? Has to be fragrance free though! I also used to swear by one from revlon which I think was called something like complexion rescue or something but bloody discontinued it! I've yet to find "my" base and I've been looking and trying for years!

curragh · 24/12/2017 09:05

MAC face and body?

mintmagnummm · 24/12/2017 13:03

Curragh thank you but I've tried that foundation and bloody hated it! It looked like I'd smeared grease over face and no coverage no matter how many layers! All Mac foundations tend to be troublesome on me
