Well done bunny! I have a horrible zit too but it's on my chin so no chance hiding it with my fringe! Plus I've been picking at it so it looks even more horrific!

I really need to shift some more empties this week to make way for my Liberty cakenday as from Friday!

Shop · 29/11/2017 12:25

Another empty, Dr Ceuticals pumice foot scrub. Absolutely love this, makes my feet look so much better instantly. I've opened another of the same 😊
That's number 6 although this also wasn't on my list of 10 😞

mintmagnummm · 29/11/2017 14:39

I have an empty. Tigi recovery conditioner huge bottle, have another one on the way to replace it.

chloechloe · 30/11/2017 09:57

Two more for me. Hooray!

  1. Liz Earle toner 30ml - I love the smell of this but kind of think nice smelling toners don't really serve much purpose. Have a Queen of Hungary one to use next.

  2. L'Occitane Jasmine Neroli hand cream 10ml.

I've decided I really need to have a no beauty spend 2018 as the amount of stuff I have is ridiculous, especially with the advent calendars I'm about to open Blush. Anybody care to join me? I think I'll only allow myself to buy something if I have no replacement and there's nothing else I can reasonably use as an alternative.

I think the only things I'll need to buy in the next 3 months are makeup remover and mascara. I have enough cleansers, shower gel, eye shadow, hand cream to last the whole year Blush

Treeballarae · 30/11/2017 10:35

One more empty to report (11/30) White Company Flowers Shower gel 30ml. I liked the smell of this so have been considering a candle or reed diffuser in the scent for after Christmas.

Well done bunny, you've hit 25 and still not even December!

Those Tigi bottles are huge mint congratulations with getting through that, I find big bottles the hardest as I get bored.

I'll be up for 14 for Valetines after I've finished my current list kwick

chloechloe I should do a no-spend 2018 but I would have to find some willpower from somewhere.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 30/11/2017 12:10

cant totally agree with rituals. I really want to like it but aside from the Hanmam range, I have been becoming increasingly unimpressed. I had the advent calendar last year and I wouldn’t buy again.

Oh kwick I might have succumbed to Hourglass powders. It was 10% off in Harvey Nicols and so lovely. My my it’s so so lovely. Thanks for recommendation! So totally not in spirit of thread!
And may be waiting for Sephora order!

However have finished a concealer and lipstick so not all is lost.
Not very close on 25 list so in awe of rest of you!

Shop · 30/11/2017 16:29

No.7 Ormorovica Queen of Hungary Mist 30ml. Loved the smell of this but found it quite drying🤷‍♀️ Replaced with a Superdrug B. Hylauronic spray spray I had and have used before - I did decant it into the queen of Hungary bottle though!
chloe I'd LOVE to do that but really don't think I could which is ridiculous!

Shop · 30/11/2017 16:30

Oh and after avoiding any advents I bought the M&S one this afternoon when they put it at £35 with no qualifying spend 🙄

DuckOffAutocorrectYouShiv · 30/11/2017 16:35

I’d like to join, if I may? I have loads of stuff to use up (obsessive and blindly optimistic) and have been doing it quietly myself, but it might be nice to log it on here with you lot.

youredeadtomesteven · 30/11/2017 16:39

Marking place to catch up later

RJnomore1 · 30/11/2017 20:20

Got another 2. I must admit I'm using up my samples and minis but it's making me really happy to get through instead of hoarding.

  1. Single use loccitane perfecting creme. Liked the texture but hard to tell if it was any better than others I used on one use.

  2. Clarins hydra gel sorbet. Really liked this. Light, moisturing, cooling and not oily. It did remind me of gel toothpaste at first but once I got over that 😬 I'd buy again.

This thread has also inspired me to get cracking with my hoard of candles.

CantChoose · 30/11/2017 23:06

Welcome DuckOff

Can I join the giant zit club please? My skin is awful at the best of times but my usually like clockwork periods have been all up the creek this month (typical as DH and I were hoping to start TTC after Christmas Hmm) so I've had pre period skin since 7th November. Sob...

I've finished the Estée Lauder makeup remover from my 25 list. This was really effective but made my eyelids sore if I used it several days in a row so I saved it for heavy make up days. I'd consider repurchasing for occasional use.

That leaves me with 12 on the list :/ though I suppose we are only really halfway.

I'm using my candle hoard too RJ, though I caved and bought a kid in tk maxx the other week. I really must stop going in there. Using them most evenings has really shown me the difference between a 'posh' candle and a cheapie one though!

CantChoose · 30/11/2017 23:08

Bought a kid?? TK Maxx are really expanding their product range Grin
*a load

RJnomore1 · 30/11/2017 23:34

I did indulge myself with a white company winter candle last week.

I'm mentally filing it as "Christmas decoration" not candle though so that's ok

CantChoose · 01/12/2017 07:26

Happy advent calendar day!!!

RJnomore1 · 01/12/2017 08:03

Used up two more single use samples this morning.

  1. Loccitane precious serum, been wanting to try this but but disappointed, feels nice but I really didn't like the smell.

  2. Garnier uplifting day creme. Seems nice and has sunk in but I think it's too rich for my skin again.

Just having toast before I open my advent 😁

chloechloe · 01/12/2017 12:17

Happy advent calendar day back to you all. Hypothetically of course, because we couldn't possible need any more products and we've all surely resisted the lure of buying one!

pasturesgreen · 01/12/2017 16:28

chloechloe, those were exactly my thoughts up to until about 30 hours ago, when I finally gave in and walked out of L'Occitane armed with their advent calendar Xmas Blush

Jolly good, 24 more miniatures to add to my use up list!

IPokeBadgers · 01/12/2017 19:40

Finished a liz earle skin repair moisturiser - cut open the tube and scraped out every last bit. Have another one in the stash, but might go for a elemis pcmc next ☺

Also got a nice smelling item in my rituals advent calendar 😊

Baileystruffle · 01/12/2017 20:15

I finished a johnsons baby shampoo today! Hooray!

kwick · 02/12/2017 09:00

Sorry am well behind!

Welcome to all the newbies!!!

I have two empties:

  • First Aid Ultra Repair Cream which may or may not have come from an advent calendar this is ok but I prefer other body lotions such the empty I had a few weeks back from the Body Shop
  • Sensodyne rapid relief toothpaste- free from my lovely dentist - I still prefer my Kingfisher one but it made a nice change

Doing a DIY samples beauty advent calendar. My daughter kindly filled it up with goodies from my stash. Yesterday, got a Lumene Glow sleeping mask sachet (used up on my legs because it contained shea butter - my face is in great nick and I am not risking it with potentially pore clogging ingredients).

I’ve had a lot of red lipstick days recently, mostly wearing NYX Bloody Mary and Yves Rocher Grand Rouge Rayonnant. Also loving a Korean cushion compact - Hera UV Mist gives me a flawless, creamy base.

DuckOffAutocorrectYouShiv · 02/12/2017 16:19

No advent calendar here.

Today’s empty is a huge 1 litre salon size sulfate free Joico curly range conditioner (I think it’s been discontinued). The shampoo will follow in the next 2/3 days, I think.

I haven’t repurchased (like I say, I think it has been d/c) though it was fine on my dry as a bone, fine, fragile & wavy hair and no issues on my super fussy scalp. The smell was a bit bleugh though. I’ve replaced with 1 litre salon sizes of Pureology Hydrate s&c, an old favourite.

woodhill · 02/12/2017 17:11

I've used up a lip balm in a pot, first time ever yeah

Strawberryfield12 · 02/12/2017 20:15

Used Olution eye cream and Bigelow rose salve. Both on the Christmas list, still have 5 products to go.
On the happier news - there are two new products a day coming in from the advent calendars. How is everybody liking their advents?

I've woken up with red patches on my neck on Wednesday morning. Thought it was the first time I was hit by allergic reaction, but now I start to wonder whether it was a sudden reaction to the retinol. First two days the redness felt really sensitive, also turned really really dry. Tried to use various products to relieve it, but had to clean them all off. The only thing that didn't make it feel worse, actually was Zelens face oil. Three days later I can finally start to use there anything else. The skin has been left terribly dry and flaky, have been applying repeatedly oil and moisturizer and everything gets absorbed almost immediately. It starts to feel better now, but I have become a fan of Zelens face oil.
