Hope all goes well for you Kwick 💐

I feel I need to join this thread. We've had a stressful year this year which to cut a long story short, had resulted in us moving to Spain. V exciting and certainly saves on the heating bills !

However I cannot believe how many cosmetics, toiletries I had stockpiled. I am trying to work my way through them. I have been suffering with perioral dermatitis so recently have stuck to avene which has helped. But I am adding the odd product back in to test sensitivity as well as try use them. Just now it is superdrug optimum glycolic overnight peel.

Recently finished: pantene clarifying shampoo, would buy again but can't fine here.
Sanex sensitive deodorant, used to use this no problem but started to make my pits itchy, not an attractive look so used when I wasn't working.

kwick · 21/11/2017 14:09

trigger welcome! I have just landed back from Spain Grin I know you may miss your British favourites but I am sure you will find some Spanish goodies (I know I always do!!!!!)

So I have another empty!!!

  • The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Mask: smells foul but is quite moisturising. That said I feel like putting normal honey on would have similar effect and taste nicer!

Also I am chucking Cowshed lippy cow - SO disappointed by this - it actually makes my already dry lips drier!!!! Have a huge stash!

I fancied trying the honey one Kwick. I'm trying so hard here not to purchase anything new, apart from Avene ciclafate which I think is fantastic for my sensitive crazy skin.

I may have picked up a Hena Previa deodorant, love that smell, and one of the baby colognes they have here.

But I mean apart from that .. I'm trying to be good !

CantChoose · 22/11/2017 07:31

Welcome trigger :) my mum had perioral dermatitis and it eventually cleared completely with antibiotics. Took ages though.

I threw out a nail varnish last night. I know at cheating a bit but I’m counting it as the one on my 25 list. It’s the Essie gel setter top coat. It was recommended on here but, although it gives an amazing shine, it’s thick and unpleasant to use and as it dries it pulls ack the varnish and looks like I’ve missed the tips! I’ve since read it works best with Essie polish but I only have one and it’s a strange green I got in a beauty box Hmm

Hi everyone, no real progress here sadly. Just finished a Neals Yard Rose Daily moisturiser (travel size) which was lovely and I think I’d buy a full size version of if it was just a bit heavier. So probably fine over the summer but not rich enough for the winter.
I had the recall letter for the Benefit Gimme Brows or whatever it’s called, so that’s gone and I got my money back. I really like this and would buy again but I have a Bobbi Brown eyebrow pencil I can use first.
Hope you’re doing well Kwick Flowers

I'm on 12!

Finished a bio polo bpught on offer to try on some very old stretch marks on my legs. It smells and feels lovely but didn't do anything about the stretch marks. Could be too old or I didn't use it long enough but I wouldn't bother debuting while I have body lotions to use up, although once I am out I might think about it.

So, going for 24 by Christmas then!

chloechloe · 22/11/2017 08:23

Welcome trigger!

What's the issue with the Gimme Brows bunny? I love that stuff! I'm also tempted to try the Boy Brow from Glossier that everybody's raving about but that would mean putting an online order in and it doesn't make sense to buy only one thing! I really have to ban myself from buying any more products as I have a back up for pretty much everything Blush

I'm making slow progress too at the moment. Have just finished 26. Elemis Pro Intense Eye and Lip Contour cream (full size). This stuff is amazing! The pump is really annoying when you near the end though, as no product comes out although there is still loads left in the tube. So for the last month I've been unscrewing the pump and scraping it out with a cotton bud Angry.

Hi everyone! Gone a bit under the radar lately as work got most of my attention for a while.

Anyway, I few travel size empties to report from a recent trip, and have managed to resist the lure of the M&S advent calendar (and all other advent calendars in fact), so not doing too bad I suppose.

Bought a Lancome Visionnaire eye cream to try after falling in love with a sample and a replacement concealer.

However, I'm going for a bit of a browse round the Christmas make up counters tomorrow, so wish me strength!

chloe the Boots lady said someone got some fibres in her eye and had a severe reaction so they’ve done a general recall.

chloechloe · 22/11/2017 13:27

Thanks bunny, hope they don't stop making it!

suchatiredbunny · 22/11/2017 15:50

I think she said they were reformulating it so it won’t be available till the spring. I like it too, it adds colour and depth while still looking natural!

chloechloe · 22/11/2017 16:10

Good news! I do wonder how you manage to get it in your eye though! Probably whilst applying make up in a moving vehicle as I am wont to do!

FrustratedFrugal · 22/11/2017 18:26

I have a bunch of empties

[x] Oral B mini toothpaste
[x] Sensai Total Finish compact foundation, full size
[x] Bioderma Sensibio micellar water, 500 ml
[x] Herborist Matcha Milk moisturizer, 80g

All really good, all worth repurchasing.

So far, 78 products used up this year, and I’ll try to get past 100 by doing #31byNewYear (a DIY samples beauty advent calendar).

suchatiredbunny · 22/11/2017 20:46

Two empties this evening, a Simple Eye make up remover (love this, very gentle) and a 50ml pump LE Cleanse & Polish (a staple). Will add to my use up 25, think it’s nearing 20 now so doing better than I thought!

Shop · 22/11/2017 21:18

Two empties this evening, mudmasky sample size - loved this, managed to get 4 uses out of it, have another sample size but have a different clay mask to use first that's already open.
Second is Ren vitamin conditioner 50ml, liked this but starting to build up on my hair, I think that's because the matching shampoo isn't very good. I'll finish that in the morning.

Finding it hard not to add to the stash with all the Black Friday deals at the moment

RJnomore1 · 22/11/2017 21:19
  1. Finished my Estée Lauder advanced night repair. Really rated this. Feels nice absorbs well and I swear makes a difference. Will definitely rebuy but I do have other things to use up first.
Strawberryfield12 · 22/11/2017 21:32

Ouch, i’ve just fallen into the Caroline Hirons trap, she has posted on YouTube Zelens brand overview with 30% off code and the brand is giving acid pads as a bonus on all orders over £180 before the discount. I’ve always wanted to try their products, but everything is so expensive, so never even thought about placing an order, but with two offers stacking, it probably was the cheapest it will ever be. I hope I don’t particularly like those products and I can just write the money off down to experience.

suchatiredbunny · 22/11/2017 21:39

Blimey Strawberry how much did you spend?
I’ve ordered the Elemis Black Friday deal from qvc......

Strawberryfield12 · 22/11/2017 22:10

All in all it’s £126 for face oil, acid pads, eye cream and lip treatment. It would be £245 full price, so sort of a good deal. But it was probably first and last time they did it. So really hope not to like any of it.

BigStripeyBastard · 23/11/2017 00:27

Got through a few in the last few weeks. Dont think I will clear the list before the LookFantastic advent calendar kicks in on the 1st but ah, who cares...I am VERY EXCITED about the calendar! Yay.
