I made the very brave decision not to buy any beauty advent calendars.
But my lovely, lovely mummy has just stopped by my work to deliver one to me. She didn’t even know I’d decided not to get it but thought I needed cheering up (the house DH and I wanted to buy has been snapped up by someone else before we were quite ready to progress - we’ve probably missed it my two or three weeks ). So this won’t help my hoard but has cheered me up no end...

Sorry to hear about the house cantchoose, but what a lovely surprise from your mum! Mine has got me the M&S one!

post gym shower yielded 7 and 8 - the disliked radox shower gel and the Chanel body lotion mini, which was ok. It didn't smell strongly but I think I've had it for years 😳

I might seriously manage the 24 by Christmas at this rate 😇

I’ve finished the clarins hand cream on my 25 list. I’m fairly sure there’s things on there I’m not going to finsih but def a few others I will finish instead so not too bad.

• The Body Shop almond milk & honey body lotion: lovely smell and sinks in so well

I may have to swap out some more of my list as no baths for a while from Monday and I am not sure using menthol on my body is helpful when TTC.

Not making much headway with products. Full size ones take such a long time to get through.

Hooray my M&S advent calendar arrived today! Looks great but I better get using up products to make way for the new stuff. I love it for the box alone though!

I've spent the last year sorting out my skincare to a point where I'm finally happy with it.
I have a stash from overshopping and a fear of not being able to buy things if I don't have the money readily available and can't resist an offer, or qvc tsv 😂
I'm going to attempt a no buy from now until end of January with a view to keeping it low buy for 2018.
I will be back with a list of my first 10 I'm aiming to finish

I have an empty from my 25 list:

• Cussons Pure 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner apple & pear: not bad for £1 from Poundland but had to use conditioner and not much more than washing up liquid. Have a stash, will not a repurchase.

Does finishing a deodorant count? 😂

A L'Occitane 75ml shampoo
Balance Me hyalauronic serum
Superdrug serum (didn't realise this was nearly done - moving on to a Balance Me serum now)

Three of those were on my Dec 25.

I have another shampoo to use up, it's about 1/4 full I think.

Im on 9 then - soft and gentle deodorant done in before work this morning.

This is addictive...

Today’s advent surprise was amazing!!!!

Finished a miniature perfume yesterday - penhaligon’s Vaara. I liked it but wouldn’t buy it.
On to a large hypnose miniature today - in very stinky!!

Temple spa repose night cream - love this, smells amazing. Have two in back up

Pixi tonic - again a staple

Josh wood hair oil - I’ve never finished a hair oil ever so I’m mightily impressed with myself. Love this. Adds volume without weighing hair down

Threw away an Estée Lauder lipstick - hated the smell

Scrub love coconut and cranberry body scrub- like coffee grounds. Quite harsh I thought. Wouldn’t buy again

I have used up number 2 of my Xmas 12- Palmers body lotion. So pleased to see the back of this but I have another massive 400ml one in the stash! I just find the smell too much these days. It really came to home one day when I used it all over my legs then went into work in a skirt with bare legs and a colleague looked at me oddly and asked if I'd been drinking hot chocolate! I don't want to smell that strongly.
