I have an empty- 1st of my 12 for Christmas. A full size pantene conditioner. A pretty boring one really

RJnomore1 · 10/11/2017 17:40

I accidentally stopped in the house of fraser beauty hall today to see the Christmas lights and came out with a new Dior lipstick and lip liner.

😬

RJnomore1 · 10/11/2017 17:41

Oh and also ordered that amazon beauty samples box on the basis I get the £14.99 back when I reorder my salicylic acid gel so it's effectively free

😬😬

This is not really helping

IPokeBadgers · 10/11/2017 19:40

Dangerous time of year with regards to the acquisition of beauty stuff. I am resisting the m and s advent calendar because I have the rituals one.....but the elemis tsv this weekend is calling to me....

RJnomore1 · 10/11/2017 19:45

Ah yes erm I already bought the elemis too it arrived today...
😳

suchatiredbunny · 10/11/2017 20:24

RJ that’s not fair, mine hasn’t come yet!

suchatiredbunny · 10/11/2017 20:27

Badgers the tsv is already on the website! I went for the skin nourishing one and am planning on buying the new body oil/cream to match Grin

I haven’t got an advent calendar though, so this is my Xmas treat to myself. I nearly bought both options but I’m not convinced by the description of the exotic blooms and so decided to play safe. Halo

RJnomore1 · 10/11/2017 20:40

I bought exoctic blooms, it's lovely. I really need restrained though. NO MORE!

suchatiredbunny · 10/11/2017 21:00

Oh don’t say that! What’s it actually like?

IPokeBadgers · 10/11/2017 21:33

I crumbled....bought the blue one. Was going to get both the elemis options but as husband was laid off this week I decided to be sensible 😕

Strawberryfield12 · 10/11/2017 21:48

Oh, I have finished using an eyebrow pencil! Got it from some beauty box and was using it for the sake of using up. I have quite dark and thick eyebrows, pencilling them didn’t make much difference. Had it on my Halloween list, then transferred to the Christmas one, now finally gone. Phew!

RJnomore1 · 10/11/2017 21:53

Oh I'm terrible at describing scents! it's nice - not too sweet but quite floral and pleasant.
Smells pink if that makes sense! But in a grown up way.

Baileystruffle · 10/11/2017 22:29

Yep I also got the m&s calendar and the amazon beauty box. But am resisting the elemis. For now anyway

RJnomore1 · 10/11/2017 22:30

I have held firm on the m and s calendar because I already bought the look fantastic one

kwick · 11/11/2017 09:01

Great progress ladies and an extra shout out for strawberry, another, bunny, chloe!!

Umm 😐 did I tell you how I ended up with two M&S calendars? Anyhoo think I will give spare to my SIL.

I am really enjoying the Look Fantastic one - today’s was a firm favourite and just in time for my trip to Spain in a week.

I am going to switch around my makeup today - which I always find exciting!!!

I have an empty (from an advent calendar last year):

  • Codage micro-peeling mask: this stings A LOT but does leave my skin smooth after, but quite red too. Have loads of similar products in stash (mainly from advents)

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm in for the 12 for Xmas. Does it matter what size they are?

kwick · 11/11/2017 11:53

No RJ - whatever you want!

I am on 🔥!!!
Two more empties!!!

  • Kingfisher Fennel fluoride free toothpaste: this is a staple for me but I am going to use up all my small travel ones before replacing
  • So Susan statement skin highlighting crayon: I think I have used this daily for over a year!!! So pleaed to be done and able to break out my Sleek Solstice highlighting pallet- which is already a milion times better!!!

Ok! I have a body shop coconut body butter which should be done tomorrow, and I'm working on using up minis (I love mini things Blush) so I might even go for 24...

But let's not get ahead of ourselves!

BigStripeyBastard · 11/11/2017 12:21

No, RJ, any size, any product. I have counted empties of all sizes, from the teeniest of trial size tubes and sachets to the mahoosive 1 litre shower gels and shampoos.
Whatever it takes to reduce your stash. In fact, starting with the tiny sample sizes might be helpful as you can see results quite quickly and the small containers do take up quite a bit of space. Plus, while you are focussing in the teeny tiny trial sizes, you tend to find you use up larger sizes of your usual products, like shampoo, without really noticing.

chloechloe · 11/11/2017 12:59

Good work kwick!

RJ I've been starting with sample sizes and minis mainly. I have so many that I have no overview of my stuff. It's also a great motivator getting through stuff more quickly!

I think I'm on 23. now: Elemis, some body cream in a red tube 50ml.

RJnomore1 · 11/11/2017 13:20

Ok inspired by you lot I am one down already! A 111skin gold brightening mask which came in a beauty box a bit ago. I've meaning to use it for a bit - got it out while watching a film. I've just remembered I have feet and hand masks too so I might be on 3 very soon.

The actual mask was difficult to apply, it kept breaking, willsee in a bit if it had done anything. I think they are very expensive.

RJnomore1 · 11/11/2017 13:48

2 and 3 done - a skimono hand wrap and an argon oil moisturing socks set.

On a mission...

suchatiredbunny · 11/11/2017 16:07

My tsv has arrived......ooh it smells nice!

BigStripeyBastard · 11/11/2017 19:23

That's the spirit, RJ! Nothing is saved for a rainy day! Use it and love it or use it, hate it and them come kn and tell us so we can avoid it! 😁

usernameinfinito · 11/11/2017 20:31

I am doing well as I have finished a couple of products since my last post, but I have also acquired new ones! I need to have a no more buying rule until the end of this year.
