Ooh, Sock very well done you. Alas, that you cannot stun the interviewer with scent over the phone. Best of luck.
OneNight I am so very sorry about your little girl. I do hope Ghost Deep Night brings back happy memories of her for you.
Pest hope all is well with your brother and his family. Knope it sounds like you made exactly the right decision to resign. Some situations just ain't fixable.
SOTD has gone from the ridiculous to the sublime. I started off with a sample of Nina Ricci Luna. Yuck! Overdose of jasmine = appalling halitosis to me but I do have trouble with a lot of jasmine notes. After a thorough scrub I went with 4160 Tuesdays Up The Apples and Pears which is gorgeously boozy, smoky and woody with a sweet tang of apple. Very huff-able and very autumnal. I think I need a 30ml of this one.
MrsMac how did I forget Tea for Two on the autumn list? Yes, it's perfect. I haven't tried Traversee du Bosphore but it sounds like it's one I need to sniff sometime.
Knope and September DD has a big bottle of Addict which she lets me borrow.
It's the modern one and I gather that's quite different from the original. Any idea which is better, oh Addict experts?
Bluebell I need to get round to trying Shalimar properly. I'm so fond of Shalimar Parfum Initial that I've neglected the real one. And yes MrsMac was right, I did have the 4160 Tuesdays Advent calendar last year and it was a delight. It had either 24 or 25 of their lovely generous sample bottles wrapped in different colours of tissue paper and numbered 1 - 24 (or 25) and it came with a pretty handkerchief and a copy of Four Fragrant Mysteries - Sarah Mac's Golden Age style crime stories inspired by four of the perfumes. That was the basic Advent calendar - you could also get one made up of small bottles (9mls I think) and a really luxurious one made up of FBs. Well worth stalking the 4160 website for.
Ojoj have you tried L'Air du Temps or Yardley Jade? I think they are both light, fresh and very beautiful.
PIAM someone needs to invent a self-cleaning shower. Now.
Aura sounds interesting...Might have to investigate it, possibly from a distance...
