Chilly today, so I wore my Uniqlo light down jacket under my trench, DH laughed but surely that is how Uniqlo always style the jackets?! That's what I told him anyway... then my car had a flat battery, great start to Monday! Hope everyone's having a better day

OOTD is black tights, berry coloured knee length cord skirt, light grey ribbed vest underneath a 3/4 length sleeve fluffy v neck sweater. Going out shortly so will add my long grey cashmere/wool mix coat and a cream floppy hat with a furry pom pom on it. Think i need some gloves as well so will hunt some out. I dont have the option of putting hands in pockets with being on crutches so gloves are a necessity!

kitty no date yet I had a lap and hysteroscopy which discovered the problem. Seeing the consultant in a week or 2 will see what he says I am hoping there is an alternative otherwise I think I may just refuse it.

Love the sound of your coat blingy and I think you would look gorgeous in camel marsha. I love camel but it doesn't suit me. I tried on a dark camel, almost tobacco colour in weekend by maxmara which looked good with my skin tone. Maybe there is a camel for everyone out there!

Justa I had a laparoscopy and was told I would need a hysterectomy within 5 years or so. I ended up having some repair work and —touch wood— everything is holding and they think I should be ok. I guess time will tell. Not sure what your issues are but wishing you well.

I hope I can have repair work too shop my uterus is very enlarged and prolapsed also have endo. Glad you are doing ok. Apart from the fact its a major op there is also the issue with childcare during the long recovery.

Having said that I've just received this jumper in the same turquoise colour which I ADORE .....everything about it is right for me; incredible colour and a bit of frou frou. E are v different colourings though.

As an aside I'm having a technical nightmare. All my devises are conspiring against me. My iPad the first one out, bought Christmas 2011 and used a lot is grinding to a halt. At the best of times my machines sabotage me at any opportunity, now they know they're about to be replaced afree xmas the predictive te ST is on another level and it's taking me HOURS to post, let alone link anything

Justa They managed to save one ovary. Menopause symptoms only started after reaching 50. Looking back for me I made the right decision. I was on daily morphine and couldn't function properly because of the pain. Recovery wasn't too bad.

Kitty I'm planning on wearing the dress with ankle boots and opaques (if I ever find a pair that stay up) I like the dress you ordered.

My 100% cashmere coat is this MaxMara one. It was eye wateringly expensive but so worth every.single.penny.

MaxMara do the most gorgeous camel coats. My friend has a camel cashmere one and her colouring is similar to Marsha. She looks gorgeous in it. The only reason I didn't get camel was because her and I have similar tastes and I didn't want to totally copy her.

Thought of the day: I am trying to work out what will happen if I leave a print out of Paloma Picasso sugar stacks hanging around for Dh to find over the next few weeks. there's a chance he might not buy me bling this year as he says that's boring.

Justa I am sure you know this but write down all the concerns and questions you have before the appointment with the consultant as it's too easy when you are in there to forget things. There are really good guidelines on all this on NICE. It's worth reading them before the appointment if you feel able to, and then go in knowing the options to discuss . Obviously I don't know how much surgery they are talking about but as far as I know, in women our age, they will leave the ovaries in place if at all possible and if it's a relatively simple procedure the hysterectomy itself can be done via laparoscopy or transvaginal so recovery time kept to a minimum.

Blingy I love those rings - one of my friends bought herself 3 over a year as Christmas presents and birthdays presents to herself and they look fantastic either stacked or worn singly. Your cashmere coat would almost tempt me home

Justa I love the shape and colour of the OS sweater but it might be a smidge bright for you - the dark green I can completely see you in.

Marsha I think camel is really tricky - even though I am autumn colouring and in theory it should suit me I have tried on lots of camel coats and tend to see my inner Tory wife staring back at me from the mirror (that said I don't think you could look like a Tory wife in a million years). Also it tends to look best worn with black/white etc and you don't wear black do you? Definitely try some on but IMO navy or grey are much more versatile.

We'll be in NZ this time next week - getting excited thinking about a whole new life .
