Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.

I’ve had a lovely morning so far but it is chucking it down with rain here so I don’t dare wear the Jensen’s today and it also probably rules out a dress and heels tonight. Will have to see. I’ve been thoroughly spoilt with books, scented candles, body oil and a cute I love mummy mug from DS which he was very proud of. Feeling very lucky.
I bought the super slimming GAP jeans - they’re fab but you have to wriggle into them. The pocket placement is good this time (normally my big bear with GAP jeans). The ones I bought are too short so I need to sell them and buy them in a longer length but would recommend. I think I have a 40% off code if anyone wants to try?

We're staying in the most gorgeous part of Indonesia with amazing coral and fish and have been snorkeling every day. It's made me determined to reduce the amount of plastic I use. It's horrible seeing just how much plastic is in the ocean. Lots of the bars/restaurants we are going to have stopped serving water in plastic bottles and are using bamboo or paper straws.

No fashion news as I am just in board shorts and a rash vest all day!

Amber good luck with dealing with the food issues. I have struggled a bit on this holiday with the 'fat' voice in my head. Shorts and bikinis are so unforgiving. I have decided though to try and not let it get in the way of enjoying myself or giving DD negative messages. I have let DH post whatever pictures of me he wants on FB and shared them all on my timeline so plenty of huge legs on display there if you need to reassure yourself

I too am carrying half a stone more than I should since the summer and really need to shift it as being short it makes too much of a difference and I feel dumpy and frumpy! Determined to get rid of it this month.
Having my hair cut and coloured today, that always makes me feel so much better and a long weekend as off on Monday as it’s my birthday, so many of us over this week.

That sounds amazing Lib have only been to Bali in Indonesia and that was beautiful.

Viva we are in Lombok - not far from Bali! Heading there in a few days.

I got two pairs Stokey - one that gave brushed cotton inside to make them 'cosy' - really comfy - and another pair which are called 'Sculpt' and are supposed to enhance the derrière (not that mine really needs it!)

Very pleased with both - they've upped their game I think.

About carrying extra weight- I need to lose a stone really but 7lbs will do it- the same 7lbs I've been putting on and taking off for years grin After ds3 I lost nearly 4 stone but then put one back on after about 10 years & if I'm being brutally honest, cba to work that hard again. Anyway, good luck to those trying to cut the calories.

A friend recommended Endorce recently and I read today that Asos are now doing try before you buy too.

Currently trying to decide what to wear tonight-it's cold and wet and we're walking so like Shop, dress & heels are out. Probably going to wear hl skinnies and magnolia pussy bow blouse so just need to decide on footwear.

On the plus side, I'm in the process of sorting out our summer holiday so am thinking sunny thoughts on this cold wet evening.

Thank you to those of you that offered to buy the amazon vouchers. I guess I will use them as there’s always stuff I need for the house (and currently I’m irdering a lot of self help books!). I can also use them for Xmas presents. I’ve decided I will get the bracelet but I’ll wait to see if there’s a code. Black Friday is just around the corner so I may be able to get it a bit cheaper.

Absolutely no fashion news from me. I’m trying to dress nicely and put lipstick on to keep my self of worth and I even wore a dress on Thursday! My clothes aren’t conducive to lazing around the house though and I’d like a couple more sweatshirts. I have to say I love my green one from primark so once I can face going there I will pick up a couple more.

No style or beauty news to report. I'm in bed post op. Have been told a hysterectomy is inevitable. Feel a bit depressed about it. I know it's irrational as I don't want more children but it just makes me feel old like it's the end of being young

QueenC keep hanging in there -I can't remember who said it but 'get up, dress up and show up' is a great mantra at these times - sounds like you are doing just that. You are doing amazingly well.

In out first dud location ATM - resort full of try hard surfers and backpackers. In fairness I'd have loved it 15 years ago but how time changes us . DH and I debating whether to just suck it up for the 3 nights we have booked or relocate.

Hope you feel better today Justa . FWIW I had a hysterectomy at 32. It came as a shock but once it was done and the pain had stopped, I was glad that I had gone through with it.

I'm also in the amove my fighting weight category. I'm searching for an outfit for nephews wedding but must lose some lbs before buying anything. Weight not helped by a lovley lunch at The Sportsman in Kent yesterday. Totally overindulged. Feel like a whale this morning.

So Lib may be in the tropics but I don't mind because...drum roll...I am wearing my Max Mara cashmere coat. Omg I love love this coat and am currently floating to work. I didn't get to wear it last year as I fell sick before it got cold enough to wear. I am a bit of a label ho this morning as I also have an Alexander McQueen dress, lowland boots and Gucci Jackie hobo bag. Oh and my M&S jacket as my dress is short sleeved.
