Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Meant to say Queen that I've seen a few people around here doing the Nordic walking thing and do quite fancy it but they are all well into retirement.

I can't run any more - everything hurts and wobbles so I just walk really really fast with the dog and have decided to get back into yoga too.

queencerulean · 25/08/2017 21:29

The warehouse order is going back..
this dress made me look like a giant pair of boobs-so so clingy up top....

OP posts:
queencerulean · 25/08/2017 21:33

I liked this dress but although it's longer on me than the model, its just still a tad too short.
The trousers were hideous-one pair was so high waisted that I looked like Simon cowell and they just felt like stuff I wore in thev90s/00s

The GD top is beautiful and I love it but just not sure I want to pay £145 for it so am still pondering.

hi everyone
Love the whistles dress queenc its very you!
mara love the hm dress, if I was the dress wearing type I would totally buy it. I haven't worn skirts since school either. I bought a pleated long black skirt last year that I wore once and felt frumpy in. Might give it another try this winter.
Fed up I am sure you didn't look frumpy in your outfit!

I have been thinking about my a/w wishlist. Still nothing on it but if it was a fantasy list it would be Gucci loafers and a celine mini belt bag!

Bernice I have had my eye on that gorgeous zara velvet kimono too. I saw it in the window when I went shopping with dm, she said it was an ugly colour Blush

dream That's a shame, the loafers looked lovely. I have found the same thing with Hudson shoes in the past, 6 is too small and 7 is huge.

Kitty you were asking about the apple cider vinegar. I have been taking it first thing am for about a week now and I can report that my bloating is mostly gone. Before, by the eve I would look about 4 months pregnant. Also It has made me much more, ahem, regular Blush. It doesn't taste nice but its doable

Stokey · 26/08/2017 06:41

Place marking. Am still on holiday, it's mid-thirties so am far away from thinking about autumn 🍁. I'm not ready to consign summer to its grave yet!

I do think I could update my summer wear though. Would like a thin shift or another midi. Have eaten so much this holiday, anything flowy really.

I've heard great things about ACV too Justa. Apparently very good for sinuses and colds too. Am going to make an effort to take daily when I get back.

shopafrolic · 26/08/2017 09:46

Do you literally just drink a shot of it neat then? Can you buy it in the supermarket? I have terrible sinuses so am interested to know more if anyone can PM me links.....
Rainy in norfolk at the mo. Had a night out in Norwich last night so have post prosecco fuzziness - heading for the North coast shortly to do some crabbing.
Stokey I'm with you on the need for flowing summer dresses - lots that I took to Mexico were too tight fitting.

Stokey · 26/08/2017 11:58

I take it in a shot glass but dilute with a bit of water

My neighbour has this Hush dress Shop, I think I'm too short for it but would look good on you.

justasecond · 26/08/2017 12:51

Not a good idea to take it neat shop as would damage tooth enamel! I take one or 2 tablespoons in about 200ml of water then down it in one go. this is the one I take

queencerulean · 26/08/2017 17:45

It's actually been a beautiful day today and one of the first summer days we've had in ages. It's nice to wear some of my summer tops and shorts again for a bit.

queencerulean · 27/08/2017 08:52

for shop

OP posts:
queencerulean · 27/08/2017 09:13

Im giving up today with the new in fantasy shopping. Everything is utterly bonkers like the silver trousers above.

I ordered this whistles top as I love my flamingo one and it's washed really well. Weirdly although this is navy and stars (2 of my fave things ) it didn't look good on me.

I read about another new shop opening on oxford st-reserved. It's polish apparently and v popular. Opens on 6th by kate moss. I cant get into the website though. I haven't been impressed by the arket stuff online.

Still pondering the GD top. Love it and will wear it but it uses a huge proportion of my budget. From experience, I don't think it will be on sale until January and it's more of an autumn top so I don't want to wait for it to be reduced. wWYD? Keep it or return?

Morning!! About to fly back home. It's 12 degrees with much wind and rain where I am so happy to be arriving into summer!

We have had such a fantastic time. I have had a crap time of late so holiday arrived at the right time. On a fashion note, my ood for almost 2 weeks has been hoodie, jack wolf skin coat, me&em layering tops, jeans and either walking boots or trains. Same bling for the holiday- merci mammal simple initials stacking rings, oasis watch, and an oval pendant which is half studded in diamonds. My favourite holiday look has been the combination of my fabulous warehouse chunky knit wolly hat with my Versace sunglasses! So wrong yet so right Grin

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2017 20:50

Blingy glad you had such a lovely holiday. How late did it stay light
at night? I would love to go when it's light all night, although I always end up choosing hot holidays as I need the sunshine and heat! Will go one year though around June.

Glad you're coming back to the best weather this month

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2017 20:51

Great Whistles jumper QueenC

Longislandicetee · 27/08/2017 20:53

Where is everyone??!!

Okay here is a link to entice you all back or any lurkers in! My Larssons & Jennings watch which cost me £105. I am feeling very pleased with it. Pity it won't arrive for about 3 weeks and i will forgotten all about it!Hmm

QueenC, those trousers are hideous!!!Shock Also i am really surprised that top doesn't look good. I would have said it was you to tee. Does that mean that's £70 gone?

Longislandicetee · 27/08/2017 20:55

Ooh cross post Marsha!

It was light till about 10pm which was perfect for us with the dcs. For later than that, definitely June is the better month. Had such a good time!

queencerulean · 27/08/2017 22:39

I'm here!
Glad you had fun blingy.
I expected the whistles top to look good too but it just didn't. I think maybe because it's asymmetrical with more stars on one side. Who knows. Anyway, it's gone back today with the warehouse order.

I saw this in the window in Hobbs and very nearly ran in there to stroke it. Just so sumptuous looking. Who is it that hates velvet?

OP posts:
Longislandicetee · 27/08/2017 23:07

Ooh I can't remember who hates velvet. I have a velvet evening gown. Haven't worn it in years but it's gorgeous to stroke.

Another pin to end the night. I love this Chloé mini skirt. In fact I love the whole outfit. I am afraid it wouldn't love me bag so I am reduced to lusting from afar. Sigh.

Longislandicetee · 28/08/2017 10:25

Morning everyone! Happy bank holiday Monday! Considering its a hit day the following is weird but what the heckGrin.

I am decluttering and have 6 scarves that I just don't use:

1.Cream Gap thick wool scarf

  1. v large light grey John Lewis 100% cashmere wrap (It's folded in 4 in the picture).
  2. V large dark grey Warehouse 100% cashmere wrap (It's folded in 4 in the picture).
  3. Pink Johnstons 100% lambswool
  4. Black one side, purple the other 50% cotton, 25% wool, 25% rayon Reiss scarf
  5. Brown wool one from Topshop

They will go to the charity shop in a weeks time unless someone wants them. 2, 3 and 4 have probably been worn 1/2 times max, the others more so.

Longislandicetee · 28/08/2017 10:26

Happy bank holiday everyone. Its dh and my 16th wedding anniversary so off out with the dc for the day.

queencerulean · 28/08/2017 11:57
