Well, summer barely happened so we're ready to pack away the shorts and the kaftans and get excited about boots, cosy knits and anything new and shiny.
We're often scared to link what we're lusting after for fear of lurkers buying it before we have the chance. So if you're a lurker, come and join us.
Carrying on from here

Had a lovely MU with lib, amber, blair and it was nice to meet bernice and see sleep again.

It was DDs party today. She enjoyed it which it was nice. All ready for the big first day of school tomorrow 😬

Good luck with the move marsha.

Very autumnal here. I find it quite hard to find right the outfit at this time of year as it feels too early for opaques but too cold for bare legs do I just end up wearing various combinations with jeans. What do others do?

kittyhello · 10/09/2017 20:05

Glad you had a lovely MU, sorry I couldn't be there. Lib don't be a stranger. 😥

Every good luck for tomorrow with Mini Sparkles first day at school. Aw bless.

MrsP hello and welcome, sorry to hear about your lost Hermes parcels. What a pita. Hope you get fully reimbursed.

justasecond · 10/09/2017 20:44

Well I got the dress but dh says I look like an extra from a period drama Grin not sure he's wrong either Grin. I think it looks good until I add the scarf then it all goes a bit strange!

Can't believe how quickly it has got autumnal, I have had the heating on today

Good luck for first day of school minisparkle

shopafrolic · 10/09/2017 20:51

Heating on here too :(

littleredpear · 10/09/2017 22:43

Thank you for the all saints recommendation on the cardi - I'm in a big city next weekend so will check it out.

Gucci belt got its first outing tight. You guys were correct, it's making a simple outfit look fab.

littleredpear · 10/09/2017 22:43

Tight - tonight (autocorrect fail)

DryWhiteagainW · 10/09/2017 23:01

Totally misjudged my outfit today. Overdressed and totally froze.
Think boots and opaques will be firmly on from now on.......no socks days are over for me Sad

shopafrolic · 10/09/2017 23:28

Very nice LittleRed Smile

libertyonhertravels · 11/09/2017 00:10

I'm going to do a 'my favourite things' round up...

Bernice gorgeous green Furla bag - perfect shape and size. I'd love it in orange.
Everyone lovely navy swarovski wrap bracelet.
I strongly suspect that amber's check blazer is going to be the Zara hero piece of the season.
Sleep had a fantastic grey biker jacket
Blair (obvs choice would be THE Gucci belt) looked v chic in her silk scarf.

It was a really lovely evening which ended in true MNV style with me dragging Blair to Cos to enable me to buy the cardigan I linked the day before. She did her Voguette duty and assured me it would be a crime against my wardrobe if I didn't purchase.

Favourite MU moment - everyone angsting over whether or not she should get a Boodles raindance ring for her upcoming significant birthday and then suddenly looking at the collective group and saying 'you lot are the worst possible group to talk to about this, you all just think I should get it' while we all nodded in unison Grin

libertyonhertravels · 11/09/2017 00:20

justa I think you can pull off that dress. Big sunnies, your IM boots, some bangles and a cross body bag will tone down the 'period drama' effect. DH is probably just adjusting to the new look.

MrsPear I hope you get things sorted - how annoying.

Littlered thumbs up for the belt. Your top looks very pretty.

Kitty I'll be here, just will probably post at odd times.

libertyonhertravels · 11/09/2017 00:29

Though that said justa I am lying in bed trying to work out what colour scarf would work best with the dress. Is it navy background or black? Might need bright lippy to balance out the dark tones...

shopafrolic · 11/09/2017 10:03

Morning all.
This arrived today and is a keeper. Quite thin fabric and 3/4 sleeves, one for the stripe collection.
Lib love your MU roundup - sounds brill :)

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/09/2017 11:23

Ha ha lib yes that was a funny moment re the ring Grin. Think you've all convinced me to go for it (once I've actually tried it on!)

Lovely belt littlered. After seeing blair's on Saturday I am seriously tempted as well. As blair it really lifts an outfit.

Just waiting to collect DD from her first morning at school. She was very excited. She was dressed in her uniform at 6.30 this morning. Let's hope the enthusiasm continues!

maradesbois · 11/09/2017 11:35

Morning!

Stokey good luck for the new job, hope all goes well. Loved the shoes you bought btw.

Glad you all had fun at the mu. Tks for compliments on my vintage style, was really feeling it, may have to audition for a bit part in miss marple. It's hard work being a 'proper' lady though with all the paraphernalia of gloves, hat, hairspray, lipstick etc.

justa I think you can do the dress too. If you look at the frugality's insta she's styled the green version by belting it in and undoing a few buttons. Looks less 'period drama' but personally I like it worn loose and buttoned all the way up. Wore it to a gallery opening last week with charlotte olympia strappy heels and the cult gaia bamboo bag (before packing it away until next summer) and someone asked if it was gucci! What colour scarf did you try with it? I would suggest not navy but lighter/brighter to highlight the citrus shades in the pattern. My heels are white, orange & yellow and worked well.

Everyone hope your little one enjoyed school and yy to significant jewellery to mark your big birthday!

littlered belt looks fab, like the white top too.

shop great top. I nearly ordered it last week too but spent a lot already and ordered some other outnet stuff which will link later.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 11/09/2017 13:18

I'm so excited! we have booked a holiday for next year, going with DP's family and we are going on a road trip from Chicago to Los Angeles!! I can't wait!! it's going to be amazing Grin

So sorry I couldn't make it int he end for the MU lib Sad I just wasn't well enough, i haven't left the house in days, i've not had the strength.

libertyonhertravels · 11/09/2017 13:36

Don't worry one. I hope you feel better soon. Holiday sounds amazing.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/09/2017 15:00

Hi all

You were missed Marsha and One! It was quite a cosy MU in the end, but that was still nice as we could all chat at once. Was lovely to meet Bernice and everyone :) and of course it was my duty to encourage Lib's cardigan purchase. (And everyone's potential ring purchase!)

little belt looks great! :) think it's a slightly different design to mine and Amber's? I saw this article which should give us some inspiration!

Had a very non Vogue day yesterday in the rain in Hyde Park, wore skinnies, running shoes, layers and a raincoat but it was great fun. Got home at midnight and today I'm nursing a double hangover Envy Today I am in opaques for the first time this season, though the sun keeps coming out.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/09/2017 15:04

Oh meant to say, anyone looked at Kitri? It all looks too fashion forward for me Blush but can see it on cool tall London people like mara or Marsha. I like this dress but I'd look like a complete loon wearing it on the streets of Surrey.

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/09/2017 15:07

Following on from what we were saying about vetements on Saturday. Look at this and its £££ Hmm

DD had a great morning at school though the early start has hit her and she's now lying in her mermaid blanket watching the TV.

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/09/2017 15:09

M&S have another 20% off event this weekend -14th to 18th if anyone has seen anything or needs any beauty / basics stuff.

MrsPear · 11/09/2017 15:16

Hi

Sounds a great day! My parcels have turned up. The weekend person didn't do anything apparently - other than send emails saying that parcels were delivered to a safe location - and the weekday person had over 140 parcels to sort this morning as well as what came in today!

After over 10 years I have finally succumbed to leopard shoes. Gone for loafers from [[http://m.asos.com/asos/asos-munch-loafer-flat-shoes/prd/7990251?iid=7990251&custref=139085765&affid=14564&channelref=email&orderref=283454826 Asos]]
I also finally got some khaki trousers from oasis. The skirt I ordered was too short for me at 18" but may a cheap and cheerful purchase for someone. It is here

Oh and I finally got out of my uniform of skinnies and tunic which I have lived in for seven years today. I wore a pinstripe shirt from fat face which is on the John Lewis site and a denim skirt. I too wore opaques -navy - and my tan brogues which have a heel. I spoke to my brother on what's app and he was a bit Shock and asked where I was going.

So I am managing to get the basics. Just need to start thinking fashion again. Hence joining you guys. I have definitely got lost in the world of mummy with small children with extra needs.

libertyonhertravels · 11/09/2017 15:39

Phew re the parcels MrsPear. Your outfit today sounds lovely and you won't regret the leopard loafers - mine are probably the most useful shoes I own.

Everyone I remember DD being exhausted in the first term of reception. Great that her first day went well. There are no words for that dressing gown Shock.

Blair I hope the hangover is easing by now.

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/09/2017 15:49

Good news about the parcels mrspear.

I know lib but to make it worse it's actually a coat not a dressing gown
Shock

I was also tempted by that stripey too too shop Smile. Last season LK bennet did a similar boot to the one you linked with zig zag, they were in the sale, not sure if they're still around but maybe worth a look???

Glad you both had good times mara and blair at your events. Hope the hangovers are easing now.

kittyhello · 11/09/2017 22:16

MrsP glad your parcels turned up and that you're branching out of your usual uniform, it's so easy to get stuck in a rut isn't it? Some great purchases you got there.

Love the best Littlered I'm agonising over a Gucci belt and was all set for the one that Blair & Amber have but now seeing yours I like that one too.

Love the Breton Shop I had my eye on a very similar C&P one a few years ago.

That dressing gown/coat thing is outrageous, both in price and item!

Nice to hear dd had a lovely day Every

Stokey how did your first day at work go? Great I hope.

Wore a Tippi today and my Pistols, surely that's a sign that summer is over Sad
