Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

I caved and bought the star biker sweat in green. £50 is alot for a sweater but it's very soft and lovely. I always default to grey so the green makes a nice change. Waiting for code for next purchases though!

Intomyarms · 11/10/2017 18:29

I still haven't got mine. I had to go and collect a parcel today and was disappointed it wasn't the jersey top.

scottgirl · 11/10/2017 18:31

New camel coloured Christie coat alert!

miffy2 · 11/10/2017 18:40

I received my size 12 gardenia dress...I really like it but it is a teensy bit short for me. I prefer the green colourway to the other similar dress in red/burgundy tones as I don't have anything like it.
Anyway I was lucky enough to nab it in a 14 so i will see which I prefer.

Sidenote: I had to call Hush CS as my card didn't go through (ordered from parked car before going into work; entered 3 digit code incorrectly LOL) and the girl I spoke to was v impressed that I had managed to buy two in different sizes; she said they are getting countless emails asking about the Gardenia dress!

I also ordered the Atlas wrap top in the similar colour to the dress in case a) the dresses go back as I love the pattern or b) I keep the dress as I love the pattern ;) ;)

CarrieBradshawsScrunchie · 11/10/2017 20:08

I received the oversized check flannel shirt but sent it back as it wasn’t long enough for me and I looked like a picnic table in it.

ilovecherries · 12/10/2017 09:56

Ha, well, I'm more than a teensy bit annoyed now about that bloody jersey top. Emailed them yesterday and it apparently 'hasn't been assessed by the garment technician' yet. So with all the faffing with washing/ironing/waiting for replies etc that's nearly 3 weeks of neither having a wearable top OR my money. Also not liking the implication that they may decide not to refund, given it's not actually wearable.

neveradullmoment99 · 12/10/2017 10:22

That really is poor cherries. Tbh, i wasnt happy about them just sending me a replacement when i specifically asked for a refund. I later sold the jumper on ebay cause i couldn't be bothered with the hassle. I have had faulty items from TOAST that have developed holes and all they wanted was a picture emailed to them and on receipt of return of item i got a full refund within a few days.

Laska5772 · 12/10/2017 12:39

Really Poor cherries I haven't found Hush to be problem at all, I wonder if hey are going the way of Boden ( perhaps getting too big to care?) .

I've washed mine twice now (in the machine)and its fine. (yes it does have lines still but not concertina.. I reckon its part of the fabric. but I think you've definitely been unlucky . I hope they sort it out soon

lilmrschatty · 12/10/2017 17:41

Does anyone have a £10 off first order voucher please? Trying to get the grey biker sweatshirt!

Nearlyadoctor · 12/10/2017 18:28

I've sent you a message lilmrschatty.

GoGoGazelle · 12/10/2017 20:48

Hush customer service is so bad! I had a referral link from upthread, ordered the wrong size tee by mistake and am now unable to use the referral again on the right size item unless I wait for the wrong size to arrive, send it back and email them photos of proof of posting. What a hassle. I'm sure Boden or other stores would just say 'use this code instead' or honour the £10 off when I ordered the correct size.

Nearlyadoctor · 12/10/2017 21:15

They're being really awkward with refer a friend codes - apparently it's after an incident last year when people posted their links on here ( Christmas bargain thread I think) At that time there was no minimum limit so people were ordering chocolate/ candles or tights and getting them free. Hush cancelled a lot of orders and alienated a lot of customers as it was their error not setting a minimum spend. They also encourage the mention me link to be posted on Facebook and I can't really see the that's much different. I don't know why they are still being so uncooperative, it's a £40 spend, they are getting custom and email addresses which is what they want.

I have to say the last couple of times I've needed to ring them it's like they're doing you a favour - not that we are keeping them in jobs. Some of the phone staff you would think the refunds were coming out of their own pocket.

Rant over!!!

GoGoGazelle · 12/10/2017 21:28

Agree - they will still be making more profit from a sale using a mentionme code than from a sale via John Lewis. Back to Jonnie I go :D

neveradullmoment99 · 12/10/2017 23:08

Ive not really had a problem with CS tbh apart from my hush return which did not impress me.
They are quite slow in processing refunds but what i normally do is email them with a photo of my receipt and they usually deal with it a day or so later. In their defense they are not always that bad.

neveradullmoment99 · 12/10/2017 23:09

I got an email from some random person today - no idea who it was with a mention me £10 off!!!! How did that happen?

EF2016 · 13/10/2017 10:33

Perhaps it was a typo or you have the same name as someone else? I see the refer a friend can now just be used by entering someone's name.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2017 10:55

I doubt anyone will have my name tbh. Its a mixture of two nationalities. Highly unlikely. In order to qualify, the person that has been referred has to buy something. Before, there was no minimum spend and a purchase was not necessary. It is very strange.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2017 10:55

Im not complaining though...

Intomyarms · 13/10/2017 11:03

I finally got my long awaited jersey top. The material is lovely, the shape is great but it is so long. If I keep it, I will have to have at least five inches taken off it. Is it worth that as it was already expensive for what it is?

EF2016 · 13/10/2017 11:52

No I wouldn't Smile
If anyone wants £10 off they could use my name too!

EF2016 · 13/10/2017 11:54
Shock I'd return it - if it's that long then something isn't right. If it was expensive, you've got to be happy with it. You shouldn't need to spend extra money or have extra hassle to get it altered.
Intomyarms · 13/10/2017 12:18

Did anyone else find it very long? I'm 5ft 2 so trousers are always long but tops usually aren't.....

Whitney168 · 13/10/2017 15:59

Mine arrived today. I'm 5ft 9 and find it pleasingly long and arse covering, so I guess on someone much shorter it would be quite long.

Nearlyadoctor · 13/10/2017 16:23

I'm 5'4 and was worried it might be too long but it looks much the same length on me as it does on the model.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2017 16:25

I am 5ft 5 and It is slightly shorter than the model. I could not wear it as a dress.
