Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

Checking in with a cheeky request for any voucher codes that may be going as I really want the Amour navy tee.
Also love the Leo trainers but need to find a cheaper alternative. Much cheaper!

43andcounting · 07/10/2017 12:23

Hi GoGo, if you pm me I have a code for new customers (or old customer with new email address!). It will give you £10 off and gives me £10 off my next order too. Pretty sure I have a free p&p code too....I will look

Bloomed · 07/10/2017 13:56

Am thinking of getting the short parka in khaki with blue fur trim (basically because I saw someone last year with an amazing dark blue fur collar which looked black but then flashed in the light, and have been obsessed since!). I am very fussy with fabric feel: if anyone has it what does the fabric of the parka feel like? Is the fur very soft?

RhiannonOHara · 07/10/2017 14:20

Just ordered the Morgan joggers in leopard (XS) and zebra (S). They didn't have the zebra in XS so I thought I'd try sizing up, although the reviews seem to suggest these joggers come up quite big. Does anyone have any feedback on the Morgan sizing? I'm 5' 10" and a size 8 or thereabouts.

Wanted to try the Ashley joggers but they don't have my size in the grey and I don't fancy the navy.

Am also annoyed the Christie coat in green is out of stock Sad

First-world problems, I know.

RubbishMantra · 07/10/2017 17:14

It's very soft and silky Bloomed . The outer fabric of the coat is soft too. It feels as gorgeous as it looks.

Bloomed · 07/10/2017 17:36

Thanks Mantra. That sounds just right for me!

Pippin8 · 07/10/2017 18:20

I’m sending the Christie coat back. Despite a night of being hung up in a steamy bathroom, it’s still creased to high heaven. And, I decided it’s too long, I feel like Dr Who in it 😂

I have seen one in Reiss I’m going to buy instead.

Pippin8 I've noticed Hush stuff often turns up really creased, no idea why as other online retailers manage to send stuff out without it looking like it's been slept in!

RubbishMantra · 08/10/2017 13:28

Only thing is, I've noticed a hole inside the pocket of the parka Sad. I've only had it since Monday and worn it just a few times, so couldn't have caused the damage myself. I wasn't going to bother contacting them because it's something I could easily get repaired, but then thought if you're paying full price for something, one shouldn't to faff with repairs. (or the added expense). I've emailed them with loads of pix of the fault, I guess they'll get back to me on Monday? Are they pretty good with stuff like this?

upsidedown2017 · 08/10/2017 14:15

Is the short parka worth it? I was thinking of getting it in black but £150 is on the pricey side. I'm not sure if the quality and styling lives upto it. Would be a useful everyday coat though.

whirlyswirly · 08/10/2017 16:04

Just ordered the longer parka and the black star bag. Nearly got the Leo trainers, the charcoal star jumper and skinny jeans too but not sure I can pull the trainers off. Got some Matt silver star gola ones or my adidas rose gold stripe superstars might work instead.

There is more I like in the hush range than anywhere else at the moment. It's pricey but does wear well. Still got a coatigan from about a decade ago.

whirlyswirly · 08/10/2017 16:05

Sending back the whistles black waxy parka in exchange. I just didn't love it enough although I tried. Smile

Bloomed · 08/10/2017 16:35

my stuff has arrived very creased too Pippin and Trumptown, so I'll hang it up and see if it's wearable (wonder if things would arrived as creased if I ordered through John Lewis).

Nearlyadoctor · 08/10/2017 17:36

Went shopping in RL today and can honestly say thank goodness for Hush, apart from a couple of sweaters in White Company and a coatigan plus a couple of tops in Jigsaw there was nothing I could see I would have wanted to buy good job the amount I have spent on Hush this season. Everything was very floral and cheap looking even if the price tag wasn't. I was looking for something similar to the Sabrina cardigan as mine is being delivered tomorrow and I wanted to see if I could find something cheaper. The only one I even vaguely liked was in Next ( so much cheaper) but already bobbly.

RubbishMantra · 08/10/2017 19:28

I would say it's worth it upsidedown. I would say the dodgy pocket lining is just a one off fault in the manufacturing. Well I hope so because apart from that it's thoroughly munchable. It certainly feels more extravagant than other coats in that price range. Nice fabric, soft.

trumptown · 08/10/2017 19:32

Bloomed I was pretty surprised at the state of some of the Hush stock in JL too to be honest, even though it was hanging up some of it was really creased. I ordered the Dahlia dress a few days ago from JL and did click and collect at my local Waitrose. When I unpacked it, it was still on the hanger and had just been rolled up and thrown in the bag! Didn't look too bad otherwise but for the price you'd expect a little more care.

Nearlyadoctor · 09/10/2017 18:30

Sabrina cardigan arrived and unfortunately for my bank balance its lovely. At only 5'4 I thought it might swamp me but it's very flattering.
That really is it now!!

whirlyswirly · 09/10/2017 19:40

I like my new long parka. It is long though. I'd like a midi one I think. The lining is lovely. Not sure how it would fare in a rain shower.

CarrieBradshawsScrunchie · 09/10/2017 20:00

I have ordered the black and white longline oversized flannel shirt and have high hopes!

Bloomed · 09/10/2017 20:52

Trumptown that's shocking and I'm still waiting for my creases to drop Hmm

Judydreamsofhorses · 09/10/2017 20:59

I also have a code for £10 off if anyone needs one - it has to be used on a "first order" (so a different email if you've ordered before) and would give me a £10 voucher too.

cessie322 · 09/10/2017 21:05

I'd love it please judydreamsofhorses if it's still available.

ilovecherries · 10/10/2017 15:36

I'm starting to feel a teensy bit pissed off as still no refund for my faulty wide jersey top. It's been back with them for over a week and nearly two weeks since I first contacted them, and they told me to wash it to see if that helped.

Whitney168 · 10/10/2017 16:28

My wide jersey top in black has finally shipped today, after ordering it eons ago. Hope it's worth the wait.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/10/2017 17:17

I'm starting to feel a teensy bit pissed off as still no refund

I returned a hush star jumper that developed a hole after washing it once. I didnt hear from them for ages and then out of the blue i received a delivery of another jumper, exactly the same despite asking for a refund. I just kept it but i had no explanation just another jumper.

I would email them.
