Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

Leggy, super thanks for the feedback.

fivefour3twoone · 14/09/2017 23:00

lol I'll see you all over on the debt threads by xmas Wink

Lambzig · 15/09/2017 12:20

Well thanks to this thread I ordered the Florence skirt. Had to go up a size and I am not sure - maybe it looks a bit wide on me. Huh, so now also ordered a black jumper to go with it to see if that works. This thread is getting expensive.

Wimbles101 · 15/09/2017 13:59

Quick question: does anyone have the Nicole Chambray dress that's in the sale?
Is it true to size?
Sorry for gate crashing but thought someone here would know :)

Nearlyadoctor · 15/09/2017 14:11

Cassie dress has arrived - but is going back. Very thin jersey material similar to to some of the t shirts, almost see through. Such a shame it's not the same fabric as the Ivy dress.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/09/2017 21:59

The black cassie dress in modal is the same as the Ivy dress if that helps. I assume its also the same shape? I dont have the jersey cassie dress myself just the black modal one. I ordered it in a small.

Been lurking on this thread but now ready to post some comments. I discovered Hush last autumn but too late to get most things I liked as gone out of stock but I did get the rushed skirt which I loved. This Spring I bought a few things and loved the short sleeved striped Tara dress. I ordered the long sleeved version but should have realised it wouldn't suit me because crew necked. If they did it in a v neck long sleeved it would be perfect for me and much easier to get on - I can step in to my summer Tara but the winter version was a real struggle to get on - I take the small size but the skirt was so tricky to get on over my broad shoulders. I am a 12 top ( because of the shoulders) and a 10 bottom. I returned the Tara along with the Stella jumper in black/nude which felt itchy and too snug on the arms (size small). However the v neck stub long sleeve t is a keeper. I have now received a second t in the charcoal which is fabulous and on a hunch I ordered the Stella in the grey/navy again int he small - and it fits much better and is not itchy in this colour way.
I am debating whether to order the Morgan joggers as I have the blue cameo ones from the summer range and I have worn them to death - has anyone got the Morgan leopard print ones?

fiftyval · 16/09/2017 16:32

Sorry about all the typos - hope post still readable !

miffy2 · 16/09/2017 21:11

I have ordered the Ivy (green) in small to compare with the medium and somehow a Vickie jumper in yellow FELL into my basket!!! I will just have to try it on and see what it is like ;) I think I am on a yellow kick for the first time since I was 8 :)

Laska5772 · 16/09/2017 23:31

miffyhave been in John Lewis Southampton today and saw the Vickie in yellow
Its really nice I cant really afford it and left it , but we are here overnight and now l think I am going back and getting it tomorrow .i was thinking of sizing up as i prefferrd it baggy

BeastofCraggyIsland · 17/09/2017 00:53

Thanks to this thread I now have the black ruched skirt, grey Tara dress and the Oslo skirt on order. I'm 5'7 and a size 6-8 on top and 8 on bottom. I've ordered the ruched skirt and Tara in XS and the Oslo in an 8 and I really hope they all fit - proportionally I have a short body and long legs so the Oslo is potentially going to be quite short but hopefully not too indecent with black opaques and ankle boots.

Does anyone have the Sloppy Joe in the green and/or have a photo of it on? I'm tempted by it but not sure if the cut would suit me, I don't tend to suit baggy clothes, they just drown me and look shapeless.

I also really like the grey Scarlett crew jumper, yellow Vickie jumper, star biker sweatshirt and the blush big love jumper as well but fortunately for my credit card they're all currently out of stock in my size. I love the look of a lot of the t-shirts - the lightning bolt, metallic stripe, l/s raglan and slub v-neck - but I'm baulking at spending £30-35 on a t-shirt, especially if they don't wash well.

captainfunderpants · 17/09/2017 06:20

Beast I have the Sloppy Joe in Brick & Custard but not the green. I usually wear a small in Hush tops (or an 8) and the size is perfect. I think an XS would have maybe been ok too as it's a loose fit but the S is fine.

I also have the Tara dress and the ruched skirt in Burgundy and Black and wear an S in those too. Usually I'm a 8 - 10 on my bottom half.

Laska5772 · 17/09/2017 12:56

Miffy didnt get the vickie i the end loved the colour but wasnt quite sure enough pf quality to invest the price
I would if it goes in the sale later though!

BeastofCraggyIsland · 17/09/2017 16:10

Thanks Captain, I'm very tempted by the Sloppy Joe, maybe I'll just order one 'to try' (ha ha!).

EnidButton · 17/09/2017 16:28

I washed my Tina dress yesterday for the first time. All fine. Draped it over the bannister rail to dry and it now has a slightly paler thick stripe where it was touching the rail. It's not the paint transferring as it goes right through. It's like that bit faded. I always seem to have a hard time washing and drying Hush stuff. Anyway, if you have that dress, don't drape or lay it on anything, whilst damp, that might leave an impression.

Pippin8 · 17/09/2017 17:09

I'm living in the grey Cassie dress. It's washed and dried so well. It is thin material but it's quite warm & not see through when on. I'm wondering whether to go for the Tara or the drew next.

I bought the raglan sloppy joe in the khaki green, lovely colour and fabric and I liked the ribbed sleeves, but the shape was hugely unflattering on me so this is my last attempt at Hush sweashirts. They are all too short and simply don't suit me. Such a pity.

intelligentPutty · 18/09/2017 07:48

Been lurking for a little while. And just about to click buy in the items in basket.

Nearlyadoctor · 18/09/2017 08:54

Hi if you pm me I'll give you my name which will give you £10 off and also me £10 - Autumn 17 will also give you free delivery but as you are over £75 it's irrelevant.

Happydays21 · 18/09/2017 09:45

What are people wearing on their feet with the Marina skirt? I bought it yesterday but need to try it on again with shoes and am pretty sure none of my shoes are going to look right!

LeggyMeggy · 18/09/2017 10:02

I wear white trainers and black ankle boots...

Whitney168 · 18/09/2017 12:55

Grey Thornton boots arrived today, prompted by a post on here but maybe not this one? Anyway, love them, definitely staying. I may need them in black too, when my bank account recovers ...

GinandGingerBeer · 18/09/2017 13:46

Well my order arrived today!
Ordered the wide jersey top, wide! It's bloody huge and I ordered it in XS, really didn't do anything for me so that's going back, as is the Alexandra dress, it was a bit small but I don't think I'll re order, I prefer the Tara, which I have already in black and burgundy. Might order it in grey but worried it'll look drab colour wise.
But the Sabrina cardy is most definitely a keeper, I have it on now with a big belt, but works well just hanging loose too.

So! What to order instead...........Grin

HTKB · 18/09/2017 14:01

I REALLY want the Sabrina cardi. I just don't need more knitwear though.

Has anyone fat got the Tara? I love the look but I have a big bum, thighs and tummy. Not sure the clinginess of the bottom will flatter.

ilovecherries · 18/09/2017 14:37

HTKB, I got the Tara in a large at a 14-16 and didn't feel comfortable in it. But to be honest, I suspect it looked fine. Im currently losing a lot of weight (down from a 22), and I'm not used to my new body yet, so I feel self conscious and awkward if I wear anything very tight. My daughter said it was a keeper but I knew I'd be tugging at it all the time.
