Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

Laska what are you wearing your Ivy dress with - desperate to wear mine but too warm here ( Southwest) for Opaques and boots yet!

Laska5772 · 08/09/2017 14:11

nearly you must have better weather than here on Iow today then! Yucky here.. i have it on with navy leggings and ballet flats ( im not sure if this combo is S&B approvedGrin) and currently wearing a ( lightweight) cotton navy cardi with it as a bit cool draughty in our office .

ilovecherries · 08/09/2017 15:02

I wore my ivy with black woolly tights and loafers on Wed. Bit too warm for that today probably (but only just!)

ilovecherries · 08/09/2017 15:06

I kept the navy, Laska. Wanted the black as well, but really trying to reduce the amount of black I wear after two people on the same day asked if I was going to a funeral. So I'm dressing almost entirely in Navy instead, though I'm not sure that's much different. Would love to be a 'pop of colour' person but not making much progress in that area! Def happier channelling my inner goth.

Nearlyadoctor · 08/09/2017 15:15

Thanks ladies - I think because in my mind I'd pictured wearing it with boots I hadn't really considered any other footwear with it! Blonde day!!

Laska5772 · 08/09/2017 15:56

Hmm I am now thinking Anais bag also . (I blame missfliss for Enabling... Hmm [grin}.)..

The only thing that is stopping me right this minute is wondering if Hush will do another 10% offer . I cant remember if they do after the first launch? ....

miffy2 · 08/09/2017 17:30

I got so many compliments today on my yellow sloppy joe. It was a big change from my usual neutral colour palette and I am now determined to introduce more colour :)

missfliss · 08/09/2017 17:52

Sorry laksa Grin

I have had a proper shitty week actually and have to say that my anais bag makes me smile every time I see it.

So there. Smile

Laska5772 · 08/09/2017 19:33

missfliss no worries , my dear, Flowers I think I am ordering one anyway,, its lovely ,, xx

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 08/09/2017 20:26

I loved the Anais bag too (waves at missfliss) but my funds won't stretch to it for the foreseeable Sad

Just wondering what the consensus is on this as a more affordable alternative? It also allows me to indulge in my love of red and that lovely round shape (could look good with the grey / red love jumper).

Hush new collection.
missfliss · 08/09/2017 20:28

That's lovely!
If you know you deffo want leopard print then brill.
One of the appealing aspects of Anais bag is that you can have the plain black too

captainfunderpants · 08/09/2017 20:44

miffy well thanks to you I've just ordered the sloppy Joe in Brick! Wanted the yellow too but my size is sold out. I need to stop reading this thread Grin

miffy2 · 09/09/2017 11:21

captain I am sure you will love it. I have 3 of them (grey, a dark charcoal-y shade and the yellow). The older ones have been relegated to indoor use as they are so well worn at this stage.

I am now contemplating the yellow woolly jumper - who would have guessed?! (Cobalt blue and coral are the rare deviations in my generally neutral wardrobe so yellow is definitely a big step)

ilovecherries · 09/09/2017 11:28

I'm toying with a second Ivy. It's SO comfy. If it washes ok, I think I will get it in green as well as burgundy. Then put a big cardi on and live in them till spring!

captainfunderpants · 09/09/2017 12:43

Thanks miffy! Am definitely a very neutral palette person too, but the odd bit of cobalt blue and yellow is lovely.

Ordering the sloppy Joe doesn't feel so bad now, my Tyler jumpsuit arrived this morning and is so unflattering on me that it's definitely going back! There's just too much fabric and it makes me look very bottom heavy. A real shame as it's gorgeous.

Burgundy Tina dress on the other hand is fab and definitely staying.

Pastacube · 09/09/2017 13:33

john lewis have alot of stock if sold on on the hush website

captainfunderpants · 09/09/2017 14:32

Oh yes! Thanks.....Sloppy Joe in custard size S ordered ...click and collect from my local Waitrose tomorrow Smile

miffy2 · 09/09/2017 14:40

Oh and the Alessia blouse is indeed being returned. It is lovely apart from the boob area. Very unflattering but would suit someone flat chested. Which is not me. :(

ilovecherries · 10/09/2017 08:44

In my quest to bring more colour into my life, I keep returning to look at the yellow Vickie jumper. They didn't have it in JL though, so I'm wondering if it's a cool toned lemony colour, or a warmer golden-toned yellow? Have always thought I couldn't wear yellow as I believed it made me look a bit jaundiced, but some of the paler, lighter shades might actually be ok.

Laska5772 · 10/09/2017 12:46

Hmm difficult to tell, cherries I have the daffodil raglan from last season which is a really bright yelow . I also thought I couldnt wear yellow but always get complimens on it. The vickie definately looks paler but i wouldnt say lemon.. I think its warmer toned ..

Are youjust going for free delivery or do you have a working 10% code (hopeful, I still fancy that bag.. Smile).

Its cool here today am wearing my black long harems (fron a couple of years ago and still looking good ) and cerise raglan from last season ..I am such a Hush girl these days !!

Just giving my Green Ivy dress its first wash (not in Asses milk though - its in with the rest!) Fingers crossed

Pippin8 · 10/09/2017 12:56

I sized down on the Cassie dress & the fit is so much better. I have worn it & washed it with good results. It's so comfy & washes well, can't be tumbled dried though.

This bloody thread Blush

I've done another massive order. It all arrives tomorrow. I'm hoping some of it will be going back.

Then I can have a look at them there Tina dresses...

MumBod · 10/09/2017 15:09

Nope, I meant Ivy.

What is the sizing like? Will I need a L if I'm a 14?

Talisin · 10/09/2017 15:13

I'm a twelve with boobs and usually go for medium with Hush. Got the small with the Ivy and it's about right so unless you really want swathes of extra material then I'd go with medium for a 14.

fivefour3twoone · 10/09/2017 15:27

What have you ordered this time round MumBod? I'm desperate to order more bits but can't afford it at the moment
