Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

Ivy dress and blossom dress have arrived, love them both, I'm 5ft 6 size 12 and they are perfect! So pleased I got them, also ordered the black trousers from the sale and they are a keeper also... just going to have another browse tonight and maybe order the love jumper in grey/red as I keep looking and it's calling me me.... also love the bag in previous posts, it is gorgeous Smile

MumBod · 06/09/2017 20:31

It was cold enough here for me to wear my big Love jumper today.

It was like being hugged all day. Fab.

missfliss · 07/09/2017 09:02

Katrina cardi arrived today.
It's perfect, I love it. In fact I bloody love it.

A long cardi isn't the most exciting garment in the world but it's foundational to so many outfits, and I have not yet had one that looked just right. A real investment. It will be worn loads.

This one is so soft, perfect length, and hangs just right. It has a definite slouchy "shape" without looking like its just a shapeless drab overall type garment.

I genuinely am shocked about how much I love this cardi.

I'll be wearing it with jeans, over dresses, with leather leggings

missfliss · 07/09/2017 09:06

Oops Sabrina not Katrina !! ^

chloechloe · 07/09/2017 10:57

Yay! my order just arrived, but boo! the baby is asleep in the carrier and I can't try it on!

I do love a long cardie too fliss but then never know what to do for a coat, as the cardie usually hangs under it slightly looking like I haven't thought things through (which is often the case to be fair!)

ilovecherries · 07/09/2017 11:17

I'm wearing my Helen jumper today. Similar material to the big love one. It's snugly and warm and the candy pink is a big change from my usual black. Wearing with Amie joggers. (And cashmere socks, its bloody freezing)

neveradullmoment99 · 07/09/2017 16:07

Ilovecherries where do you live? It was wet here in Scotland all day but not cold enough for a thick jumper.

ilovecherries · 07/09/2017 16:19

I'm a Scot from Inverness (so pretty hardy!) but we are currently living in the Lake District.

ilovecherries · 07/09/2017 16:30

Winona trousers? Anyone have them? I have them in two sizes and I'm not sure which is best. 14 is fitted (not stretched to the limit, but certainly neat round the bum) and the 16 has a nice relaxed feel round the bum but seems a bit flappy on the legs. I'm not sure which one is 'right'. They are both comfortable, and I'm not sure if they just feel flappy after wearing harems and straight legs, or if they are actually too big. How should they look? The 14 probably shows my CS overhang a little bit, so I would def have to wear a top outside the trousers, whereas the 16 skims right on past it and I could wear a shorter or tucked top. Given I was in a 22 a few months ago, I have nothing invested in choosing the smaller size, and as I have nothing at all too wear, I want something to wear right now, not something that I'm keeping till the next 10lbs comes off. Advice?

DoorsAndWater · 07/09/2017 16:41

I have the wide leg trousers not the Winona but maybe a similar fit? I would go for the comfy 16s, mine feel loose and a bit flappy but I like that? I think it's because I'm used to wearing skinny jeans, I'm planning on wearing a neater top with them to balance it out a bit, hope this helps Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 07/09/2017 20:18

Ahh..well it might have a bit of the wind chill factor in the Lakes. Yes being from Inverness I am sure you would need to be hardy. I near Glasgow. It has been raining non stop.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/09/2017 20:19

I have both the winona and the wide legs. Very little difference between them both. I sized down in both. I am a 12 and bought a 10.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/09/2017 20:20

Oh should have said, the wide legs are a better length for the average person. The winona i had to take up.

captainfunderpants · 07/09/2017 20:25

My lightening bolt jumper, Pamplona skirt and ruched modal Burgundy skirt arrived yesterday. All keepers! Pamplona shorter than I thought it would be as I'm a few inches shorter than the model but it looks great and is really flattering. Tyler jumpsuit on the way...also tempted by the Tara Burgundy dress now..!

neveradullmoment99 · 07/09/2017 21:42

I love the pamplona skirt but it looks really short sadly. I have been so tempted to order it. Where does it go down to captain? I am 5ft 5. Can you wear it lower?

captainfunderpants · 08/09/2017 06:35

I'll take a pic for you never. I'm 5 ft 5 too. It's above the knee, quite a bit shorter than I would usually wear, but I've lost a lot of weight in the last few years (a few stone) and feeling like it's now or never!! I don't usually show my knees so this is a first for me. Will take a pic and post it later.

captainfunderpants · 08/09/2017 07:18

never here you go. Sorry for crap photo and hastily assembled outfit but hopefully you can get an idea. It sits fairly low on the waist. I've got it as low as it goes .

chloechloe · 08/09/2017 08:15

Finally tried on my order and will be keeping all of it, as overseas returns are a pain! So naughty of me!

I have the Pamplona skirt too and love it - it has a lovely ribbed material which doesn't show up in the photos. It is short though and as it's quite fitted and due to the material it doesn't give much so you can't pull it down like the ruched skirts. never I would say if you're between sizes to go up with this item, if you want it to sit lower down. I'll wear mine with black tights so think I can get away with it being a bit shorter.

Also got the green Tara dress, need to wait til I stop BFing to wear it though.

The grey love jumper is lovely though probably not very forgiving with 2 small children due to the embroidery. The small is quite roomy even with my DD chest, it's a nice length mid hip. The sleeves could have been cut a bit slimmer.

The fine Katie crew is lovely - just hoping it wears well.

Also have the Ditsy print skirt after somebody raved about it on here - just need to find a top to wear it with.

All items are now in the wardrobe and the box disposed of so DH doesn't roll his eyes at yet another order!

captainfunderpants · 08/09/2017 08:33

I've got the small Pamplona, and it's a perfect fit. I am usually an 8 - 10 on bottom half and it's just right.

The ribbed material is great and the frill is also really flattering and makes it a bit more interesting than a plain old black skirt. Unfortunately none of that shows up very well on my photo!!

neveradullmoment99 · 08/09/2017 08:43

I am a size 12 and am losing weight but think i will order the medium so that it can look slightly longer. Thanks for the photo captain. That was very useful. Going to order it :)

neveradullmoment99 · 08/09/2017 08:44

Actually, thanks to everyone who commented :)

Laska5772 · 08/09/2017 10:57

Cherries I have Winona. sized down as larger definately too flappy V comfy but i packed them in bag to go away and they creased dreadfully-surprised at this given the fabric. Also was difficult ironing creases out without steam. Again i thought id need cool iron on that fabric. They do look good on though.
Have green Ivy dress on today . Its my favourite of all the things ive bought from Hush ( so much so that i now have all 3 colours!)

ilovecherries · 08/09/2017 11:55

Thanks Laska. Having now decided on size, I'm trying to decide if they need taken up. With trainers they aren't touching the ground at the back, but they are bunching a little on the top of the shoe at the front. Have attached pic but not sure how clear it is. Where should wide leg trousers sit? I'm starting to understand why everyone moved to skinnies!

Hush new collection.
neveradullmoment99 · 08/09/2017 13:12

They look fine in length to me from what i can tell but Maybe post a picture from the front?

Laska5772 · 08/09/2017 13:16

Hmm. Mine are long also and i wore them with loafers that have a thick sole. (They make me about an inch taller iyswm) that meant they didnt touch ground at back but yes a little bunched at front. But not much, about the same as the side view on the model . I really like them .. liked the navy but only kept the black in the end as couldnt justify more than one pair
