Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

Has anyone tried the LOVE jumper?
I really like it but was wondering how long it is. I'm only 5 ft 2 so a bit worried it will be too long.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/08/2017 22:52

Some have dissapeared and some are still there.

Nearlyadoctor · 25/08/2017 01:54

ifyou I've bought the big love jumper and actually have sized up to a medium to get a slightly oversized/ longer length look like the model. I'm 5'4 size 10 on top and every other Hush top I have is xs or s so unless you have a really short torso I'm sure it will be fine.

Justfivemoreminutesplease · 25/08/2017 07:25

So I finally got round to opening my box -love the star biker sweat- can see myself living in this, as the detail means it's different from all the other countless grey sweatshirts I have.
But can anyone please tell me how the raglan tee washes? I've got the XS which looks a tiny bit small but then the S looks huge. Do they shrink please??
And you lot have now got me looking at the trousers /joggers -a new one seems to have just appeared so I'm going to get the Erin panel ones. This thread is dangerous/ getting expensive!

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 25/08/2017 07:45

Nearly Thank you very much- I am going to order! I will go for a medium too, as I'm usually a 10/12.

SesameSparkle · 25/08/2017 07:53

The raglan tee washes fine. Saying that I've been washing mine on its own, in a bag, on a hand-wash setting - I've got a yellow one and I was worried about washing with anything else. It doesn't shrink. If anything, it might have even grown a little bit.

ilovecherries · 25/08/2017 08:06

I loved that sweatshirt as well, FiveMoreMinutes. I'm still dithering about the Ashley dry-clean trousers. The thing is, in my last job I had loads of clothes that were dry clean only, but didn't give it a thought because they were all highly corporate looking, and I just handed them into the cleaner regularly. But now I work at home, having jogging trousers that need cleaning seems ridiculous. But I do love them.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/08/2017 08:18

Personally the only two things that i would have dry cleaned are a coat and a skirt. Trousers are too intimate for you to leave them not cleaned for weeks or even months. If you arent prepared to put them in the wash and take the chance or get them dry cleaned regularly, i would opt for something else. Its just imo though!

MerricatsHouse · 25/08/2017 09:36

The Sabrina cardi has turned up this morning and it is lovely, really soft and the charcoal colour will go with everything. I was kind of hoping I wouldn't like it and could send it back, but alas! I probably could have gone down to a M but keeping the L as it gives it that voluminous cape / kimono effect that I favour. It's like being wrapped up in a lovely blanket, I've been swanning around my office in it even though it's far too warm yet, enjoying the swishiness. Roll on autumn now! Grin

MumBod · 25/08/2017 09:47

Glad you like it, Merricat Smile

LittleG69 · 25/08/2017 09:51

Can anyone comment on the star biker sweat top? I'm a large 12/small 14 and don't know if I need a medium or a large? I'd like it to be a relaxed but not oversized fit. Thanks

ilovecherries · 25/08/2017 10:28

dullmoment, that's the conclusion I've sadly come to. They are all packaged ready to be posted back. I know given the style I will want to live in them, and that just won't be practical. In my job I used to travel a lot, and was allowed to use hotel dry cleaning services but those days of causally putting an item in the dry clean bag after one wear and having it delivered back to me a few hours later are well over!

ilovecherries · 25/08/2017 10:30

Little, I'm a 16 on top and I have it in large, and I would say it's relaxed but not oversized on me - so I'd have thought a medium would be big enough?

rightknockered · 25/08/2017 10:33

Those that have the Sabrina cardigan, would you say it is a medium weight knit? It looks quite thin.

MumBod · 25/08/2017 11:29

Sabrina definitely medium weight. Not thin.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/08/2017 12:00

Wide jersey top - anyone have it? It came today and not really like it is depicted. The model has it on and its way longer??? I am a 12 and they only had the small left in stock. It fits fine just a lot shorter. Just wondering if i order the medium if it is longer. Has anyone got this and does it sit longer on you? The small sits just at crotch level on me. On her it sits at practically mid thigh and at the back it is far longer. I am 5ft 5 and the model is taller than me by a couple of inches!!! If i order the medium will it be longer? Thanks.

MumBod · 25/08/2017 12:14

Ok, the wool trousers arrived, and they're as itchy as hell. They also don't exactly flatter me, so no hardship.

The Amie joggers looked crap on me too. I'll stick with harems, I think more forgiving

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 25/08/2017 13:39

First lot arrived, love the lightning bolt tee. I am wearing it already. Another garment to be washed inside out in asses' milk (so the white bolt doesn't peel off)!

The ruched skirt is a weeny bit shorter than the Boden one but I have high hopes for it (haven't had time to get the tights and boots on yet so will reserve judgment until then) Smile

ilovecherries · 25/08/2017 15:06

Do the tees last? They seem very thin and fragile and I was worried they will twist terribly/shrink. I've got the lightening bolt and the stars. I love them but at £35 each I need them to survive a good few washes.

ilovecherries · 25/08/2017 15:07

I'm ok with washing them in asses milk, I tend to fold everything fragile into an individual net bag and use the hand wash cycle.

missfliss · 25/08/2017 15:35

Love jumper in grey and red is brill. Adore it. Small hangs better than the medium on my (5'6', size 12).

Ascot red heels. Beautiful. Not for me though. They are for people with dainty narrow feet only. I have wide flat feet and they were too tight and my feet looked squashed / bulgy.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 25/08/2017 15:40

My v-neck tee (plain) has developed holes ilovecherries. My scattered star and lightning bolt tees are fine so far (touches wood)! I don't think any would stand up to a scrubbing board or mangle though Grin

LittleG69 · 25/08/2017 16:14

Thanks ilovecherries

JulesJules · 25/08/2017 17:43

Love that Toast coat so much - but £315!!

Anyone had the Hush Parka, with blue fur lining? I love the look but wonder if it's worth it.
Also like the look of the Althea dress, but worry it would look like a weirdly huge jumper, I'm 5'6.5 and size 12.
Also like the look of the jumpers, especially the one covered with flowers £85 though

Swimminguphill · 25/08/2017 18:20

JulesJules there were bazillions of them in the sample sale last year - if you can wait til Feb & can get to Chelsea easily. I think they were going for £40 but others may remember better. I didn't buy at that price because they made me look like Hodor. However I am tall and broad shouldered and tbf that is not specific to the Hush version - any padded parka does that to me. Others love them.
