Sorry to hear that another.
Just catching up, you've all been doing really well!

I've thrown out a skyn eye cream - used about half but it went all dry and horrible, used up a monu tan extender which really was a gradual fake tan. And a l'ocitain moisturiser that I really liked. Oh, and an Aveda curl cream - I've got one in the stash ready though, it's not exactly an HG but it's the best I've found.

I'm nearing a point where I will have to purchase some body lotion soon which is pretty amazing!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 09/08/2017 20:12

Thanks so much guys. Still quite raw but trying to channel into positive changes!
So much finishing.
I'm cleared another few even though not on list. So rituals body lotion has gone, body shop Polynesian island perfume gone ( to be closely followed by body lotion: bored now) and also a couple of perfume samples. Still have 4 from 12 to shelve. AND planning a Paris trip for wedding anniversary in 4 weeks so hoping for Sephora trip. Wink

bunnybleu · 09/08/2017 20:21

I've finished the BS body butter in almond and honey, I think that leaves two of my twelve left. Wouldn't buy again, I like the body butters but wasn't overly keen on the honey scent, and I've been a bit itchy and think this is why.
I have re-sorted my stash though, I've pinched a drawer in DHs chest of drawers and used an organiser from Ikea to sort things into categories, e.g. 2in1 shampoos for DS1 (current choice is the Tresemme one picked up in £land so I got three!)

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/08/2017 22:18

Ok, my 12...better late than never.
Botanics cleansing balm. Nearly used.
Elemis balm. Travel size. Balms aren't super great for my combo skin tbh.
Steam cream. Not feeling the love. I'm touching the tin bottom
One minute facial. Sample size from Ebay, bought and used after recomendation on here. Found it just very runny and a bit useless, unless mine had gone off?
Facial oil. Too greasy for my skin, think it's an M & S one.
Trial handcream used. Loads to go. Don't use it enough, though I need to.
Lipstick Elizabeth Arden. Down to the dregs. Quite old, but smells ok.
Lash serum. Don't always remember to use it. Feel the difference it makes is negligible, and it was quite expensive. When finished, will wait to see if all my eyelashes go thin before thinking about replacing.
Odds and ends of face masks, Dermalogica sebum control and a hydrating one.
Cellulite cream, that is known to make you feel like your bum is on fire. So that's nice...
Gel eye pads. From a cheap shop? Made no difference. Have put them in the charity bag, the useless fuckers.
Dove neck gel, used up. Very old, had avocado in it. Lovely stuff they don't make anymore? Sad to see it go.
Daily exfoliator, Dermalogica, didn't seem powerful enough to make much difference.
Boots cucumber face mask. A freebie, but too cheap to be good? Never see any difference when I've used it.

Have bought the Aldi airbrush leg spray on special offer. Goes on very dark, and its rubbish unless you rub it in very well, which defeats the object of the spray methinks.
Hope everyone is ok?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/08/2017 13:37

Oh no! I have killed the thread with my long boring post!

woodhill · 10/08/2017 14:02

Well done, you haven't killed the threadSmile

Dry shampoo and a Decleor 3 minute mask in the bin.

IPokeBadgers · 10/08/2017 16:10

Finished a small no 7 shower gel....so old, I don't think they do it anymore! 😁 Also finished an M&S perfume - a 25ml Aqua rose one that came in a beauty box. Liked it well enough but I find that most of the marksies own brand/autograph perfumes don't have much longevity, probably wouldn't purchase again.

ABeaverAteMyThumb · 10/08/2017 16:13

I threw away a mini moisturiser that was not user friendly. Life is too short to deal with rubbish products that don''t want to be used!

DragonNoodleCake · 10/08/2017 17:02

Just catching up ladies, waiting on a delayed flight home from Hamburg!

Pinkie - that is sad news x

I am using stuff, and not really buying so today think I'd make headway huh

Oh well life is so fast paced right now I'm not even worried right now

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/08/2017 18:10

Ok, so I threw the end of the lipstick away. I have about another dozen lipsticks, and I will probably be an old lady by the time I finish them!

FrustratedFrugal · 10/08/2017 18:50

SpongeBob your list is not boring! I can't do oils or cleansing balms either so none of those in my stash, and well done for chucking the lippy. Some product just aren't worth the time and effort.

Have done yoga every night this week! Super restorative and energizing and my midsection definitely feels more toned! We have this weird long narrow study/music room a space where we dry laundry and store junk. Turns out that room is the perfect at-home yoga studio. Will have a proper clearout over the weekend to make the room feel more inviting.

No empties but working patiently on finishing two lipsticks and a blusher. I'm going to reward myself with another sheet mask tonight. Probably Innisfree Açai, one of my favorites.

FrustratedFrugal · 10/08/2017 18:51

And have a safe trip home Dragon!

curragh · 10/08/2017 18:59

Empty no. 33, Hawaiian tropic aftersun. Nostalgic summer smell ☀️☀️☀️

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/08/2017 19:04

I have neglected yoga over the summer, as my class isn't on. I can't find a good space to do it, but may be making excuses....

d270r0 · 10/08/2017 21:02

So today a tried Zerreau dry shampoo- you're supposed to spray it on, its a foam, then towel dry it off. Unfortunately it left my hair in a horrible state, greasy and much worse than it was to begin with! Can't imagine anyone else would want the stuff so am I justified in throwing it away?

kwick · 10/08/2017 22:42

Extremely impressed by using up progress and by frustrated's yoga prowess Grin

Two empties:

  • Redken scalp relief oil control shampoo: effective as an occasional treatment but too stripping to use every day
  • hmmm cannot remember second... hold the line caller...

Oh and d2 chuck or give away - I tried that also - like pouring a bottle of oil on my hair Shock

kwick · 10/08/2017 22:43

Second empty:
Dr Bronner's pure castille soap Hemp Almond 59ml - great shower gel

OP posts:
SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 11/08/2017 11:23

Good stuff Kwick. I tried one of those foam dry shampoos for curly hair. May have been the Tressemme onee. Towel dry my auntie! Just left it in a horrid greasier looking mess than before, so fairly pointless!

kwick · 11/08/2017 13:55

I have another empty!

  • Ecran Sun Lemonoil spray spf 30: I love this sunscreen brand - their aftersun is amazeballs too
Ashamed of my beauty product hoard – part 6

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 11/08/2017 15:39

Never used that Ecran sun stuff. I have binned 22 nail varnishes that were beyond hope, and years old in many cases. I have never had much luck trying to rescue them with the special thinners you can get for them. Anyone else?

kwick · 11/08/2017 17:38

22??? Well done sponge!!

Some more empties:

  • Body Shop pink grapefruit shower gel: love this smell
  • Bioderma white objective sample: not sure what this did or was supposed to do
  • Emma Hardie amazing face age support cream: made skin sting and did not like smell
  • Deliplus aloe vera eye cream: think my eyes did not like this - used up rest on legs Grin

bunnybleu · 11/08/2017 18:07

I used up a Phil Smith conditioner yesterday, lovely stuff. DD likes the combo for blonde hair. Rather shockingly, I didn't have any conditioner in my stash! I nearly always have two or three to use up after buying for either DD or me so it was a bit of a surprise not to find some lurking in a drawer......Hmm

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 11/08/2017 20:11

Thanks! If you like the body shop gel, have you tried Lush Happy Hippy grapefruit shower gel Kwick?

Ineedagoodusername · 11/08/2017 20:58

I need to join this. I keep buying cleansers and moisturizers hoping that I will eventually find one that suits!!

Strawberryfield12 · 11/08/2017 21:24

kwick I am deeply impressed by the amount and regularity of your empties!

Since it is very quiet at work in August I am on a mission to look after myself. Have been twice to a deep tissue massage to get rid of the tension in my back and shoulders and sort out the headaches I was having recently. Have also booked myself for a facial and hairdresser next week. And being inspired by frugal, I poured over Youtube and ended up doing one of Adriene video today. Made me realise how stiff I have become over last few years. The intention is to keep it up, will see... I guess if I make it public on here, it will be more motivation to get it going.
