Perfumes that strangers stop you in the street for?

Just that really, I was asked today by a (very lovely looking) chap what perfume I was wearing, and would love to know what everyone else gets asked about fragrance wise. It was Alien Absolue btw.

I once stopped a lady who was wearing Dior Pure Poison. That was 2004 and it still makes me happy every time I put it on.

Haven't worn it for ages but always got complicated on Lady Million by strangers and people I knew. One of my friends loved it on me but hated it on her. I wore it all the time and sickened myself of it. May have to buy some more and see if it happens again.

Coco chanel, have had compliments from both men and women.

I always get complimented on Hypnotic Poison and Jil Sander No. 4.

I have asked someone what she was wearing because it was awful and too much of it and I was curious.

Sometimes, when people ask what you are wearing it can mean you've overdone it.

All of you are wearing too much perfume if you're stopped in the street to be asked about it. Seriously.

Mine have been on public transport mostly.

I can't even smell it anymore but I know it smells amazing so I still wear it

Out of all my lovely perfumes that I love, the only one I am ever asked about is Pure Dusk by New Look! Apparently it's a dupe of La Vie Est Belle, but that smells horrible on me, so maybe the New Look one works better with my body chemistry.

By the way, I spray and walk into the spray, so definitely not over-spraying, it's usually people at work (I work shifts, so it's different people every time) or waitresses / friends etc.

I get asked fairly often...

Definitely not. The Tom Ford perfume I wrote about cost my DH £150! It became my only Christmas present last year when we bought it together. I can still remember his face when he handed the cashier his credit card.

When I spray that one, it's a precious single squirt and that's after checking keenly that the channel is facing the right way

I do agree however, that some overspray. My teenage girls douse themselves before entering my class leaving me coughing and spluttering through my register.

I always get asked when I wear Soir de lune by sisley.

I wear Jo Malone PN AND RR, Jimmy Choo and DKNY Be Delicious, to name a few mentioned on here and....NOBODY EVER ASKS ME!!!

Disclaimer, I'm a hugger and see a huge number of people during day, lots who wouldn't be afraid to ask but still, nope.....

I've seen SJP Lovely mentioned on mumsnet a few times!

There's a good deal on it in Superdrug at the minute, so like the sheep that I am, I've ordered it!!

There is one I always get asked about, but I'm not saying what it is.
And I never overspray, after having done it once and being mortified about it.

I adore alien and always get asked what I'm wearing. I now can't wear anything else as I just love alien so much. I only like the dark purple original bottle and always always get asked what I'm wearing and people always say how lovely I smell

I've been asked quite a few times what perfume I'm wearing. I only use it for special occasions and it's the only perfume I have at the moment so I'm noting down a few of these and will test them next time I'm out shopping.

When at work I use a fruity body mist spray which does the job.

I don't see the point in just one spray of perfume either. Get it sprayed on and smell nice . I probably am an over sprayer but I just don't see the point in one spray. One of my friemd refuses to spray more than once on her neck and you can't even smell that she has perfume on ???

Too much perfume can set off asthma attacks and migraines, Farmerswife, think of the poor sod stuck next to you on the rush hour train, drowning in Alien.

Where do you spray the perfume. Apparently not good on neck for ageing. I do wrists then maybe a mist.
