We have dusted down our Gigis and boyfriend shirts. We are desperately trying to avoid melting in MMFs. We are planning capsule holiday wardrobes. We are getting ready for summer gorgeousness......come and join us for as we wait for the temperatures to soar.....

Hehe everyone! I didn't know NAP were stocking Draper James, never looked at it before. Their things would probably suit me but they aren't the kind of thing I'd buy - maybe because it's slightly too feminine? I'm not really sure but I've been trying to put my finger on it since I saw your link!

Ugh so glad today's the last hot day, I know what you mean Lib. Hope we get some good storms tomorrow.

DryWhiteagainW · 21/06/2017 21:49

Everyone I liked it.

Fashion in hot weather ......

I love distressed denim, metallic flat sandals and white cotton......seen a lot of this recently.

I do NOT like young men, however fit, in rolled up White skinnies ....they look like idiots DD said that was such an old lady thing to say

Blair I think you're a classic dresser with a young edge to it iyswim? RL is a classic label. Hope I'm making sense but of course it could be the heat!!

Queen the Prada dress is beautiful.

Have gone off the dresses from Zara fickle, moi? Actually they are mmf which isn't brilliant for hot weather. It was this one
and this shirt dress

jollyhockey · 22/06/2017 08:32

Where on earth can I find silver Gigis in the UK? It was costing £19 postage via Sam Edelman and then there are returns if they don't fit! Can't see any on Net a Porter or Cloggs. Thanks!!

shopafrolic · 22/06/2017 09:19

What size are you Jolly?

jollyhockey · 22/06/2017 09:32

Shop a Euuropean 39 or US 9.

shopafrolic · 22/06/2017 09:37

Shame, I can only find 3s and 4s.

FedupNagging · 22/06/2017 10:20

Jolly check out Brand Alley - that's where I got my silver ones from and Iirc the animal print ones were from Rubber Sole.

It's a bit cooler today thankfully but I'm still so hot as there's no aircon.

Ootd is white crops (boden), red peasant top from Next and blue flat sandals from Jones.

libertydoddle · 22/06/2017 11:19

Me too fedup. I find humidity very difficult. Wishing for a big thunder storm to clear the air.

Glad you like the navy spotty Boden dress everyone. I am wearing the green version today for the second time this week.

Dry agree that denim, white and metallic is a great summer combination.

shopafrolic · 22/06/2017 12:14

Much cooler here after a thunderstorm this morning.
I just bought the new Bare Minerals Complexion rescue - really nice finish when she did my make up in-store....

VivaVegas · 22/06/2017 17:12

Afternoon, am I allowed to just slope back in as I've never been away!
Has been a rubbish 6 months, fortunately health issues with DM now looking more positive, sadly can't say the same for the state of the world over the last couple of months, but nice to get back thinking about something frivolous to take your mind off things!
Have struggled with buying stuff this season like a lot of people, have ordered so much and sent most of it back.
Like a lot of you i'm planning my main summer holiday wardrobe and have got a couple of lovely new dresses. Got this lovely Blue Boden dress and this Black Gap Dress which is much nicer in real life and quite glam with heels or flats.
Also got some silver saltwater sandals, originally to wear on the beach on holiday but actually love them with cropped skinnies!
Eagerly awaiting the Hush sale for a couple of dresses from there and then I think Summer shopping is done.

VivaVegas · 22/06/2017 17:22

Lovely Sam Edelman sandals. Cannot wear all the sandals I have as it is, but very tempted!

VivaVegas · 22/06/2017 17:26

Forgot, I also have this Whistles Silk Top which I have coveted for a long time but now its arrived i'm not sure, its nice but not £65 worth of niceness if that makes sense.

shopafrolic · 22/06/2017 18:04

Love that GAP dress Viva - welcome back :) Shame it is OOS in the medium black otherwise I'd be tempted. Not sure I can do Paisley?

jollyhockey · 22/06/2017 18:46

Shop - thank you for looking Flowers. Fedup ... will look now, thank you.

DryWhiteagainW · 22/06/2017 19:03

Jolly you need MrsSmith she was great at finding bargain Gigis.

Ootd was floral navy pencil skirt, chambray shirt tucked in, sleeves rolled up, silver pointy flats .......felt good.

Viva lovely to have you back and good news about your dm, great SE sandals btw

Jolly I bought my Gigis in winter and my Pistols in summer Grin re: sizing I am always a GB4, I have a US 6M, EUR 36 pair ( I'm always a 37) and a US 6.5, EUR 37.5, GB 4.5 pair and they both fit exactly the same, in fact it wasn't until I just checked now that I noticed I have different sized pairs. Hope you manage to find some soon.

I've done very little sales hoping, bought c de c print blouse it's going back as it's huge and the V is very low, cba getting a smaller size it's voluminous, have to send the bloomin' thing back to France Angry

Hoping I will have better luck with this Whistles blouse I've ordered 2 sizes to cover all bases, mine was in the sale and not full price

Everyonelovessparkles · 22/06/2017 21:05

Lovely sandals viva and a great price! Nice dresses too.

Your OOTD sounded lovely dry

Shame about the c de c blouse kitty as it looks really nice. The whistles top looks good too.

Lots of nice things in the karen millen sale. I'm tempted by this embroidered top and this blue midi dress

Been cooler here today so hopefully we will all sleep better.

FedupNagging · 22/06/2017 21:39

Lovely to see you back Viva - glad your dm is doing ok. Nice purchases and love the KM blue dress.

Fab broderie blouse Kitty - am tempted to hunt it down at a more reasonable sales price.

Have been really quiet at work today so spent hours (literally) hunting for clothes - I must be getting fussier in my old age as there is not a lot around that I liked enough to order. There were a couple of maxi dresses perfect for holidays in Hush and MV but sold out in my size. I'm not going to link as am going to stalk for a while just in case they come back into stock!

However, I have ordered these SE sandals in tan - thanks for the link a few days ago Stokey.

What does everyone think of this M&S dress? Have I completely lost my style mojo...?

Dreamqueen · 23/06/2017 08:27

I'd dropped off the thread on phone. Need to catch up. Home for a few days before next jaunt. I'm exhausted. Going to read and get up to date with the news and links after I have a very strong coffee.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/06/2017 10:32

Absolute bargain on the outnet today... here Grin Amber? you'd rock this!

Hey Dream sounds like a fun time was had with your sister.

Viva lovely to see you back and glad your DM is doing better.

I like the M&S dress Fedup, not that it would suit me.

queencerulean · 23/06/2017 10:59

Morning all. It's nice that it's cooler but I can't believe just how cold it is.
fedup I quite like the dress but you'd need to try it on. There's often just something subtle in the way m&s fits that makes it frumpy rather than fabulous.

I'm not up to much today-have a bruised foot from dropping the iron on it -luckily not hot! Have to take the cats for their annual check up later which I hate as getting one of them into the basket is a pain in the arse so I will probably be scratched to shreds later.

Everyonelovessparkles · 23/06/2017 11:56

Ouch dream that sounds sore. Good luck with the cats!

Just enjoying a nice child free coffee as My parents are up and are looking after the DC.

The weather is more pleasant today but still quite hot when the sun comes out. Wearing this today.

Dreamqueen · 23/06/2017 14:44

Haven't caught up one here yet. But I've just done my first ever post in AIBU www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2961756-Terrible-customer-service-from-British-Airways

Having a calming cup of tea now and catching up.

shopafrolic · 23/06/2017 14:54

Afternoon all. Just spent a lovely morning at a local cafe attached to a designer Outlet store that is 15 minutes from my home and I never even knew. Really fab.
Off out for dinner to a fine dining / Michelin starred chef place this eve for a friend's 40th birthday. Am struggling with what to wear as have just come on and am horribly bloated. I think it will have to be this dress with black strappy heels and my McQueen clutch. My pink LKB dress feels too tight. Hope it's smart enough. Hmm
Dream definitely post that direct to BA's Facebook page and tag them if you use Twitter. That's poor.
