Judy what on earth is WIDOMH please? I have been racking my brains fruitlessly.

Worship best of luck with the Milan hunt and the rekindled romance. As for not being the sylph you were 30 years ago I think very few of us are. I always tell DH he is lucky to have twice the woman he started off with.

I've long been curious about Youth Dew Amber Nude but it goes for such silly prices - the Tom Ford connection doubtless. But the original is pretty amazing anyway.

Some lovely sounding summer scents being suggested here. I have plumped for Atelier Cologne Trefle Pur today - gorgeous bitter green citrus.

4160 Tuesdays' next half price perfume is going to be The Sexiest Scent on the Planet, Ever (IMHO), according to the newsletter. Another beauty and such a great name.

Having forgotten Ninfeo Mio, and leaving it unloved at the back of the drawer, I sprayed it today at MrsCocoa's suggestion, and am staggered at how long it is lasting for a citrus. I can still smell it after four hours, and I have accused it of being fleeting for years.

Green WIDOMH - What I Did On My Holidays (4160 Tuesdays fragrance)

GreenPolishToGo · 25/05/2017 15:58

Gah! Of course it is, thank you, Three and it's even in my Desert Island Top Five.Blush

Oh Worship- that is so lovely, and you must get the perfume! Flowers
The reason why Anais Anais will never not be in my collection is to do with a young (then) whippersnapper from 31 years ago. And the day I see him again (and I will, one day) I will be wearing it and it will remind him of then.

Badders123 · 25/05/2017 17:21

What a lovely story worship.
My mum wears youth dew and I like It but I'm not convinced I'd like the tom ford version...I haven't tried one of his that I've liked yet!
Off to town tomorrow so I might go "naked" so to speak and have a good ole spritz when I get there 👍🏻
Lord, it's hot.
Can't wait for my rive gauche to get here

MrsCocoa · 25/05/2017 19:06

It's well reviewed Badders - but has just lost the treacle-dark sticky resins of YD.

My Ninfeo Mio lasted 8 hours plus. It does have that blackcurrant bush/borderline cat pee note that's quite edgy (and persistent)!

DanceTheBlues · 25/05/2017 19:46

SOTD was Dior Homme as I had a big meeting but after sweating my way home I decided I wanted something fresh that reminded me of my youth. I'm now wearing Givenchy Very Irresistible Blush. It's the only rose fragrance I can bear (I have a nearly unused bottle of Paul Smith Rose going spare and I hate POAL, sorry!!) as it turns into a spicy sweet anise on my skin. Reminds me of being 16 and my only worry being sneaking back into my parents house after a night out Smile

Badders123 · 25/05/2017 19:49

Mrsc I think that's what I love about original youth dew so not sure the nude one would be for me
I'm still undecided about POAL - not a summer scent for sure so I will try again when the weather turns

ThreeForAPound · 25/05/2017 20:47

I was craving something floral and powdery and a bit spicy tonight after my shower, so put one spray of Lancome Poeme on my wrist and one on my cleavage...and I'm in heaven.

I wouldn't necessarily wear Poeme out and about - it doesn't feel like a 'me' fragrance - but its hitting the spot tonight while I lounge on the sofa trying and failing to tear my eyes away from the horror that is 'Kat & Alfie: Redwater' Grin

MrsCocoa · 25/05/2017 21:58

Late night blast of Givenchy III for me - goes up like a magnificent rocket but comes straight down like a stick, fading to the sheerest skin scent in nanoseconds. Is this just my skin?

DS has dug out an old bottle of Jane Packer's Rose, Black Violet and Cyclamen - smells good on him!

Auldspinster · 25/05/2017 23:24

Am dousing myself in cheap Turkish lemon cologne.

I am sending my mum on a mission to try and bag me a sample of Coromandel when she's in Glasgow at the weekend.

Tomorrow I will be wearing Herba Fresca and sitting in my granny pants trying not to expire as it's supposed to be 29° in Edinburgh tomorrow.

VintagePerfumista · 26/05/2017 07:08

I must smell Poeme...tbh, after working next to Marlene-in-her-Tresor for a year (she kept the bottle on her desk in case she needed a respray- frankly, this was 1994 and she probably still wouldn't need a respray now!) I have avoided Lancome.

I promised myself to start trying some of the multitudes of blind buy samples I've got....Atelier Cologne Silver Iris was the first that came out, and loving PP Iris, and liking lots Le Labo Iris, I thought I'd be OK. Several armwashes later and I've covered it up (just about) with a hefty slug of vintage Paris. (almost resorted to Loulou which is about the only thing strong enough I could think of)

There is a vague, tiny hint of the cool Iris-scent I love. Almost totally masked by a cloud of.......pink minger Shock Now I'm no perfumer, but PM has no place with Iris. Humph.

ThreeForAPound · 26/05/2017 10:09

Poeme is strong, Vintage and the top notes are overpowering spicy-floral and very 90s. Not my thing at all.

But the dry down (at least on me,)... divine. Grown-up yellow floral, a bit creamy, a bit powdery and a proper 'cant stop sniffing my wrist'-er.

Its definitely a one or two-spray perfume, though. I can imagine it being hideous headache territory if you sprayed too liberally.

ThreeForAPound · 26/05/2017 10:13

SOTD - back to Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. Its my safe summer office scent at the moment.

Badders123 · 26/05/2017 13:14

My nightmusk arrived today...
So lovely. Dh keeps sniffing me 😁
This was my fragrance when I met him 20 years ago...

Badders123 · 26/05/2017 13:41

Hmmmm
Sounds like I might like poeme!

ThreeForAPound · 26/05/2017 18:36

I'm definitely retreating in to S&B at the moment, which is a sign I'm dressed. never fear...half term (for me) is here! Grin. Just enjoying a post-shower glass of icy white wine ...

Just spritzed on some Bobbi Brown Almost Bare. its a home fragrance for me. Nothing 'wow', but after the initial bergamot/fresh hit, it quickly dries down to a close, light, green and cedar wood scent on me. Lovely for another night of sofa lounging in your PJs Grin

ThreeForAPound · 26/05/2017 18:36

dressed = stressed

Swimminguphill · 26/05/2017 18:48

My PP Jo Malone dupes arrived today and so many people have told me I smell lovely! I am layering the Seasalt with the earl grey and cucumber. I think the Seasalt is my fave and I would wear on its own but earl grey tea and cucumber is perfect for this weather if bolstered with something more musky. Smells divine and LASTS. At £5 each must be the bargain of the century.

ThreeForAPound · 26/05/2017 19:31

Excellent Swimming!

I'd never pay for real JM again after discovering the PP dupes. I'm not a fan of JM, really, but I have a soft spot for her Verbena fragrance which I think may even be discontinued.

Anyway...dupe is cheap as chips and exactly the same...so I'm happy Grin.

GreenPolishToGo · 26/05/2017 20:40

Oof, I am melting. Never mind stripping to granny pants I'd cheerfully sit in my skin if it wouldn't frighten the DCs and the cats.

SOTD has been Atelier Cologne Bergamote Soleil to match the sunshine outside, liberally topped up with refreshing spritzes of Guerlain Eau de Cologne Imperiale - it is so lovely I would be tempted to hoard it, but as I was lucky enough to get a FB for next to nothing I shall spray with abandon.

I seem to like all rosy scents Dance so PM me if you fancy a swap for your unloved Paul Smith.

My Givenchy III seems to last and project quite well, MrsC. It's a vintage bottle but I assume your one is too.

Good to hear the PP Jo Malones are so successful. After a couple of samples that vanished within half an hour I'd dismissed the real thing as a triumph of marketing over substance. But the PPs sound well worth a sniff.

I took my ds2 and dniece shopping today
We ended up at a perfume counter (obv) and ds2 liked a lot of the guerlains! Dn liked insolence because it "smelt like Parma violets" 😂

ThreeForAPound · 26/05/2017 22:15

Complete sucker of anythingr rose, too but already have the Paul Smith (and like a lot) Grin.

Pissed off with all the lame rose flankers in recent years, though...so trying to broaden my horizons.

ThreeForAPound · 26/05/2017 22:15

excuse my dreadful wine o clock typing
