Glad you've enjoyed at least some of the 4160s HH. I like Black Velvet Cafe too - although it smells inky blue to me. Brings Encre Noir to mind but is much plusher and less screechy. Isn't this the scent for rock gods and goddesses given all the patchouli?

I've concluded I can't wear Maxed Out at my advance age without smelling a bid sordid/borderline tragic. Smells amazing on teenagers though .

The Chantilly dried down to a fabulous powdery suede. Magie surprised me; after the moss came violet and after that came a cosy amber musk and then after that a sharper, clearer and really distinctive accord - which I can't place, but looking at the published notes is perhaps jasmine with civet, before finally becoming an ambery musky skin scent? Just crazy shape shifting - anyone who enjoys a perfume that takes them on a journey should try this .

SOTD was Diptyque Philosykos. Have sprayed on some 4160 Tuesdays WIDOMH after a bath this evening, because I am now on holiday for six and a half weeks. Yippeee!

SOTD Avon Little Gold Dress - maybe I judged this a bit too harshly on first wear as it's pretty enough - soft fruity flowers - and will probably make a decent work day staple. I am still on the hunt for something more herby / woody and have just bagged some Reveal by CK on eBay - supposed to be soft woods salt and cashmere- anyone tried?

Got back late last night. Friday night in kids a and e...im sure you can imagine!!
Ds1 has never had an attack before and it happened at school so i had to pick him up..ventolin not helping so Dr said take him to a and e
Dr was great a d she ga e him a good work up...x ray, bloods and ECG (history of heart issues in our family)
He is asking for pancakes so is feeling Better!!
Dr said to have a low threshold for going back
Poor ds2 was distraught
Dh is US back today thank God!
I tho k he may need a higher dise.if his preventer - he is a tall lad now
He is only on 50mcg
Does that seem high enough to you?
Will.take.him.to Dr on Monday to discuss
He has.to avoid all.sport for a week...hr is not Happy!!

SOTD is Pamplelune. I set myself a £20 limit on payday yesterday for perfume spends. Just blew it on diamonds and emeralds AND diamonds and sapphires on Amazon.

three i have diamonds and sapphires on order but already have diamonds and emeralds and if you like things like Madonna Truth or Dare then you will really enjoy it! I assumed, like it seems many do, that it would be sharp and green but it isnt at all

Hope you like them three...do let me know what they are like! Ds2 seems ok. He has me er had an attack before (he has cough variant asthma)

Your poor DS MrsM hope he is OK. Asthma is terrifying. I've had a DS not allowed to do sport for a couple of weeks atm (for a different reason, not asthma) and he is climbing the walls - I've allowed a greater use of Xbox then I would normally - for all our sanity!

Loving the Evil Fragrance Twin thing. I think my EFT wears nothing but Jo Malone with a Pink Minger for special occasions. Possibly Flowerbomb which I loathe and it's so ubiquitous!

I'm just reading about Katherine Parr's love of civet. I seriously think we should bring back Pomanders. I'm very fond of an orange studded with cloves myself :)

just added Violet Eyes to my basket Love the name and the price. I wonder if I can shake the association with UltraViolet, which I love. Three I'm terrible, I keep setting myself limits and then "borrowing" next month's perfume allocation. If I get a refund on my unwearable LouLou I shall also get Diamonds and Rubies - serious FOMO here, as my DC would say!

Every person I've recommended D&R to has loved it so I hope you do too...I really like ultraviolet too! I missed out on some on eBay last month. I also like lady millions by PR too. We shall have to compare notes on violet eyes! 😀
Funnily enough I smelt Lou Lou as well yesterday...and I have to say, I didn't like it!! This was one I wore as a late teen.

Smelt quite nasty to me tbh.
I'm very tired so have a shower in lush twilight and put on the body spray in the hope it helps me sleep.

Lovely perfume lovers, I think I'm going to take the plunge and buy Issey Miyake Pour Homme for myself. Can you please confirm that it's perfectly normal for a woman to wear man's smellies? I don't think I've found anything that smells so lovely and clean.

I wear Eau Sauvage and love it.

I tend towards heavier muskier scents anyway...
