Thought I'd start a nostalgic thread about products from the past, after being reminded about Timotei. Used to lose that stuff. They had great commercials too. VO5 apparently doesn't exist in shops like it used to.

I think the most iconic commercial was the flake in the bath one, where it overflows.

I used to love spending my pocket money on this sort of stuff, it's really hard to find anything as nice now, perhaps I'm getting old!
CK one was on offer in Boots the other day, had a sniff of that and Tommy Girl and was transported back to the late 1990s, feels like a lifetime ago.

You can still get wash and go in some supermarkets and pound shops

Avon Pretty Peach hand lotion. Takes me back to being 8 yrs old when I think of the smell.

Rimmel roll on lip glosses in bubblegum or fruit flavour.

Body shop gift baskets that you could choose what went in..bath pearls, pineapple face wash, coconut shampoo, kiwi lip balm, dewberry perfume oil, Brazil nut conditioner...

In the 90s Gap had fab perfumes. Loved New West...can't find it anywhere now

Anne French cleanser is fab I still use it! The cotton pad is BLACK afterwards...my skin loves it

I've remembered another- I am guessing it was a forerunner of the Primer....in the late 80s and early 90s, Bourjois did a mousse thingy called Blanc de base, it was amazing- it was an illuminating base you put on before your foundation.

Also Charles of the Ritz face powder was the first I ever had that had "illuminating" bits, think it was called Revenescence or something- it was amazing.

I used to use Twlight Teaser lipstick by Boots 17.
Cutex used to do nice nail polishes.
I used to love Zest Soap too.
I used to use Passionfruit I think it was called a face wash by the Body shop & Raspberry Ripple bubble bath left your skin so soft.
I used to use a peach tac & bubblebath fron M & S. I don't know if you can still get it.

The original oil of Ulay was the best it had such a nice smell & sunk in smoothly on the face.

I remember using a skin cleanser & toner that was lemon scented & was called Delph.

My husband used to use an acne wash called Biactol. He said it burnt really bad but felt like it was doing some good.

I used to live Woodleigh GreenApple Shampoo & Conditioner too. It smelt so nice.

Sunsilk hair leave in cream.

They sell Linco beer shampoo at my local Superdrug for under £2!

Vaseline in those hug tubs before they became popular and practical! We used it for everything

Yves Rocher mail order catalogue , seemed so exotic and different. Did fab Agnes b makeup that I can't find anywhere now , and lovely perfumes

Yves Rocher is online now, and cheap as chips. Still very good quality stuff, and send you mega offers (bit heavy handed with the email flyers, but I buy loads and at bargain prices)

I loved the catalogues too. Used to make lists and lists of what I wanted and then realise I couldn't afford it. Now they give you a £50 face cream for buying a bubble bath. etc.

I think M &S still do the peach range, I loved their Iris one.

There is a song called Timotei Shampoo by a South African singer whose name I called remember

I loved the soapy smell of shampoo and conditioners in the 80s and early 90s. The original Wash & Go and Timotei, Silkience conditioner - they were lovely and the scent really hung about on your hair for days.

I miss Tigi Shine Junkie. It was THE BEST serum/shine/smoothing product ever. Made your hair smooth and shiny, but totally non-greasy and lightweight and smelled divine and lasted aaaages. Then they changed the formula . Then discontinued it altogether.

Bath pearls is various shapes and colours. But you needed about 5 of them at a time and they never properly dissolved so you got left with the slimy remains

Yes, you always ended up sitting on slimy bath pearl cases and peeling them off your bum at the end of the bath

Remember bath cubes too? The crap precursor to bath bombs. Usually in a selection of 'old lady' smells such as lavender, lily of the valley etc. Didn't dissolve, bits of grit in the bath, stank.

Still on page one but geordie 100% on the black cherry, only dark lipstick that ever suited me and was thinking recently 'why did I suit dark lipstick then but not now' BECAUSE THE MAGIC OF BLACK CHERRY!

Black Honey by Clinque is very similar to black cherry if you want to try it there are samples on eBay.

Does anyone else remember te-tao shampoo? I used to love the smell of these.
Also loved henara products. They made my hair so glossy.

I loved Tribe perfume by Coty. Also Impulse Dynamique was amazing. Loved Ten O Six too, always deeply satisfyingly when the pad turned totally black!
