Thought I'd start a nostalgic thread about products from the past, after being reminded about Timotei. Used to lose that stuff. They had great commercials too. VO5 apparently doesn't exist in shops like it used to.

I think the most iconic commercial was the flake in the bath one, where it overflows.

Yes to Flex Shampoo and Conditioners.

Also, Body Shop orchid oil cleansing milk and seaweed shampoo.

PestoSwimissimos · 29/03/2017 17:44

Pears soap was my absolute favourite. They've changed the recipe now though and it's just bland Sad

blibblibs · 29/03/2017 17:55

My treat as a kid was picking a fancy bar of soap to take back to boarding school with me. It was alway Zest. I'm sure it smelt like toilet cleaner but I thought it was lovely and fresh Grin

armpitz · 29/03/2017 18:01

Salon selectives shampoo - anyone remember? Grin

MeganChips · 29/03/2017 18:01

Rimmel Passion Flower was my absolutely favourite lipstick. It was a kind of cool, blue toned red brown and the absolute perfect colour for me.

I must have wasted a fortune over the years on ones that were just not quite right.

MrsWOLF1 · 29/03/2017 18:10

Rimmel Heather shimmer was the go to for lipstick amongst my group of friends

MissCherryCakeyBun · 29/03/2017 18:31

I loved Anne French skin cleanser it was amazing and I loved the smell.

I also loved the old fragrance oil bar in Body Shop..... glass bottles and you could get the oil meat or added to all sorts of gubbins

Miss Selfridge original makeup from the early 80's with its white compacts and frosted pink blue green eyeshadow

Also the smell of setting lotion will forever remind me of my gran and sitting on her knee in the hairdressers in the early 70's when she had her hair "done". Seems a lifetime ago

MissCherryCakeyBun · 29/03/2017 18:33

Apparently it's still available woohooo

The body shop used to do a clear hair gel that you could rub between your hands and then use to smooth over bobbed hair.

Best of all IMO though was the Body Shop Brazil Nut tanning lotion, later re-branded in the 00's as an after sun lotion, it was amazing for keeping a tan but was apparently discontinued due to complaints that it rubbed off onto clothing, which to be fair it did a bit.

geordiedench · 29/03/2017 18:38

Blibblibs - I remember Zest soap. It smelled great.
Body Shop camomile make up remover and Viennese chalk. That chalk is the only thing that ever properly got rid of blackheads, and it smelled of marshmallows.

Judydreamsofhorses · 29/03/2017 18:45

Benefit pineapple facial polish - I bought about 25 tubes on eBay when I found out it was discontinued.

Ammelou · 29/03/2017 18:49

Coffee Shimmer and Heather Shimmer were the lipsticks that everyone had to have in the early/mid nineties.

namechange20050 · 29/03/2017 18:53

chardonnay I think Clinique started to make Calyx again. Worth a look!

TheRattleBag · 29/03/2017 18:58

This was mentioned on another thread recently, but I really miss Impulse O2 Blush

Violetcharlotte · 29/03/2017 18:59

Tigi shine junkie (in the round silver tin). Best de-drizzling product I've ever used.

YouWereRight · 29/03/2017 19:07

Oh, I loved Hairomatherapy! I had Nicky Clarke everything for my hair.

I loved those roller glitter things, and the bigger sequin things to place in the outside corner of your eyes. I would quite like some now.

MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 29/03/2017 19:08

I used to love It by Lentheric. It was 'the' perfume to have and probably smelt of cat wee, but I loved it when I was v young.

Dulcimena · 29/03/2017 19:15

Shaders and Toners. Harmony hair colours in the triangular boxes. Lush Enzynamite. Maybelline Full & Soft mascara.

I saw Anne French milk in Savers recently - it was nice to see it again!

puddingisgood · 29/03/2017 19:33

I loved Vidal Sassoon shampoo and conditioner, they smelt of almonds I think.

HappyJanuary · 29/03/2017 19:39

Sun In.

I used to look like a beach goddess after a liberal spritz of Sun In. Obviously hair was a crispy damaged frizz shortly afterwards, but so worth it.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 29/03/2017 19:43

Thanks Namechange, I'll take a look.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 29/03/2017 19:57

Quiddity perfume.

BagittoGo · 29/03/2017 20:28

BagittoGo · 29/03/2017 20:28
