Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

If you're worried about your burn scarring Shop I use silicone products when I go through phases of catching my hand on a curling wand. Something like this which also helps healing www.boots.com/remescar-silicone-scar-stick-5-4g-10170512

Dreamqueen · 09/05/2017 07:50

I'm back in the land of the living. Had an amazing 10 hours sleep & feel normal.

How are you today Lib Hope you're feeling improved.

How's packing going Amber? You must be so excited.

Stokey · 09/05/2017 14:36

They definitely work better with leather trousers than jeans Shop

Envious of your 10 hours sleep Dream, I feel shattered after drinking on Saturday & Sunday & HIIT last night.

On that note, any recommendations for a sports bra? I also need a decent strapless bra - small back & big boobs make these tricky.

Agree about summer Fedup, so miserable here, just want it to warm up.

shopafrolic · 09/05/2017 16:17

Stokey I have this one for high intensity stuff. And this for lower intensity. The second one is not ideal for anyone with big boobs.......
Cold here too. Apparently it'll be warmer tomorrow but it can hardly get any colder surely!?

Read this and thought of Blingy

Stoked. I've got a Bravissimo own brand one that while it's not the prettiest holds everything in place really well. Not sure how to link on phone but will do one later.

Dreamqueen · 09/05/2017 18:06

Stokey It's this bra

Everyonelovessparkles · 09/05/2017 20:08

I agree with stokey, shop, the boots definitely look better with black or maybe a very dark denim? Hope your cheek is ok. Bio oil is great for scar prevention. Be interesting to hear about the JL denim if you give it a go.

Hope you're feeling a bit better too lib.

I agree fedup, I'm so sick of this weather now. On the tube this morning everyone was dressed for winter. No wonder my summer clothes last so long, they hardly get an airing. At least the sun came out this afternoon though.

my copy cat white lace top arrived and it's a keeper. I'm pleased with it and think it will be good for nights out. I also ordered these jeans that are regular length on me and more like skinnies short fat legs they're not bad so am keeping them whilst the holy grail of jean hunting continues.....

I went through a phase in my 20s single days of wearing matching underwear. It never made me feel that much different and I can't be arsed now. Grin

Longislandicetee · 09/05/2017 21:54

Shop, I was nodding sagely as I read that articleWink

shopafrolic · 09/05/2017 22:18

Thought so Blingy
Another two wires fell out of Freya bras this weekend - why is underwear so expensive!?
In other news..... DH has just been given a big pay rise. Those who know us will know how much stress there has been in the last 12 months so it is nice to see all his efforts finally rewarded.
I'm off to buy an iPhone 7 tomorrow to celebrate :)

Feeling much better this evening thankfully.

I've realised that I could be out of the country by August and that weekends are very busy for the next few months....but I need a farewell MU Sad. Does Saturday 8th July work for people for a London MU??

libertydoddle · 09/05/2017 22:20

Well done mrshop - that's great news.

shopafrolic · 09/05/2017 22:30

I'll be there Lib - wouldn't miss it for the world

OP posts:
OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 09/05/2017 22:32

I can't cant do 8th of July unfortunately lib i'm up north that day Sad

slowly slowly packing up again. shouldn't take much though, we don't realyl have that much stuff all things considered

shopafrolic · 09/05/2017 22:33

Have you found a place yet ONe?

OP posts:
kittyhello · 09/05/2017 22:34

August Lib Shock I thought it was more towards the end of the year. That's a good date with me.

Shop that's wonderful news for you all, and a lovely treat for yourself.

Lovely white top Every also really liked the Russell & Bromley sandals you linked a while back, did you go for them?

Without sounding too much like a bore I love that Style app; it can suggest outfits combinations from your wardrobe. It also totals up all your purchases Shock and I'm not even 10% through my clothes yet and also works out your cpw. It appeals to my inner geek Grin

shopafrolic · 09/05/2017 22:39

That sounds good Kitty - was the app itself expensive?

OP posts:
libertydoddle · 09/05/2017 22:44

We could be out of the house by end July Kitty then we'll go to Ireland for a month or 6 weeks and we'll have a holiday in SE Asia en route so will actually get to NZ in November. It might take longer but I don't want to try arranging a MU in August or early Sept as I know it would be really difficult with holidays / back to school and I want to make sure I get a chance to say goodbye properly.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 09/05/2017 22:46

we have Shop!! got the deposit paid tonight into the deposit scheme ( we refused to go anywhere that didn't have it, we didn't want to get burned again) and we move at the end of the month. moving about 20 minutes bus ride away from where we are now, different tube line but that's okay, i know my way round well enough that i can find my way to most places i need or want to go to Smile

libertydoddle · 09/05/2017 22:50

Glad to hear you have sorted a new place to live one. We can do a mini MU to say goodbye.

shopafrolic · 09/05/2017 23:09

Good stuff One - I can'hear' the relief in your post. I'm pleased for you Smile

Dreamqueen · 10/05/2017 06:39

Lib I can't do the 8 July. Thats the day that I fly home from Italy.Sad
Glad that you're on the mend. Your move has come around so quickly.

Kitty I tried the style app but got discouraged trying to load on my items. (not a geek ) Plus I found some of the categories limited. Might give it another go at the weekend.

Shop I find Freya bras really hard wearing, but that's disappointing. Since I did the bra intervention thing on here, I've been spending so much more on them. (went from 34c to 32f Shock) I like nice bras but am happy wearing M&S no VPL shorts in black or nude with everything. Interesting article though & I also thought of Blingy.

Woud love to meet to some day One It must be a relief to have found a new flat so quickly. Good luck with the move.

queencerulean · 10/05/2017 08:27

stokey my sports bra came from my local running shop and can't remember the make but before that I had a panache one which I really rated.
I can't be arsed with the whole lingerie set thing. In theory it's nice but day to day I don't find it practical. I wear either black or nude tshirt bras and black or nude pants so my colours always match. I couldn't do a total mismatch.
one sounds great, good luck with the move
lib just need to check a couple of things but am hopeful I may make it
Lovely and sunny here today but cold. Wearing cobalt blouse and jeans and silver shoes.

Everyonelovessparkles · 10/05/2017 08:32

Glad you've found somewhere else to live one that must be a weight off your mind.

kitty I didn't get the r&b sandsks in the end as when I saw them in the shop they felt a bit heavy and had a zip at the side which made it a bit loose around my ankle. I've seen a couple of potential carvela / miss kg / kg ones so am contemplating a big order. Was hoping to try some on in store yesterday but my meeting over ran so I didn't get the chance.

lib can't believe you are going so soon Shock Sad Bizarrely even though I only met you briefly when I was pretty wasted I feel like I've known you for ages. Unfortunately I can't make the 8th as we're away, but if there are any mid week mini MUs I'll be there.

kitty that app sounds really good.

Good luck with the packing and move amber.

A lovely sunny morning here today. 😎

DryWhiteagainW · 10/05/2017 09:43

went to see Take That last night.
I wore the Monsoon black lace top Everyone. Despite the holes I boiled but looked ok I think wothOaige dark wash Jimmies and back ghillue heels.

Much smaller show due to shrinking band but great fun.

To summarise:
Garry isobv having a mid life crisis...ropey hair.
Mark wore burgundy platform boots at one point v dodgy
Taking DH may have been a mistake!!?!Grin
TT much more fun when you have aWine or 2.
All Saints were fab.
