Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

Outfit sounds great Dry. I love take that. Saw them years ago when they did Royal Variety Show.
OOTD is navy and white striped Biden riches skirt, bright green toy story Uniqlo t shirt, denim jacket and yellow/green suede new balance trainers. Plus a heat tec vest underneath.

shopafrolic · 10/05/2017 14:56

I present to you..... Shop's hoy grail of denim
I have just spent over an hour in the Levi's store in MK - who were fabulous. So helpful. Until I found the perfect jean. It's love.
I went to John Lewis but apparently their and/or range is only in 8 stores nationwide and MK isn't one of them.
These Levi's are so good though - high rise, a bit of stretch, great length and look fab with heels and trainers. So happy and all for £85.

a mini MU would be good lib it'd be nice to be able to say goodbye

yay for the denim find Shop might look into levi's myself when i need to eventually buy some new jeans. Hoping that won't be for a good while yet though as i do so hate jean shopping

ugh my skin is sooooooo dry right now, i'm a big old flaky mess, hate it but i don't know what to do beyond what i'm already doing as acid toners and the like just don't agree with my skin and break me out really badly. I have a really heavy duty moisturiser already and its fine when it goes on and for the first couple of hours after but then, flake alert. maybe i need to reapply it through the day.

Stokey · 10/05/2017 17:56

Jeans look great Shop

I'm planning on a wardrobe transition this week so should be able to suss out what I want.

I don't think I can make the 8th Lib - it's my birthday weekend & i'm hoping we can rope in MIL & get away for a night. But I'd definitely be up for an evening drink before that

One have you tried any diet things for eczema? friend said giving up dairy helped.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 10/05/2017 18:24

stokey i'm already on the case about reducing dairy but it's a bit too early to tell if it's making any difference. will persevere and see what comes of it

AmberNectarine · 10/05/2017 18:35

My skin is brilliant at the moment. Apparently shitloads of alcohol and stress really agrees with me!

Well, we've exchanged. Moving Monday. I've been at home interviewing packers all day. I can't believe how reasonable they are, relatively speaking. Obviously packing my own wardrobe, though!

One more day at work tomorrow then I'll be commuting from the new house!

FedupNagging · 10/05/2017 19:46

Lib I hadn't realised you were going in the summer - thought we had until the end of the year Sad. I can probably make the 8th although holiday plans are very fluid atm.

One and Amber good luck with the respective moves.

Shop the And/Or range is in my local JL and I bought this chambray dress a few weeks ago. MK has Hush in store but mine doesn't - wish they'd all have everything!!

In a fit of pique yesterday (weather was freezing here), I decided to spend some of my 'summer clothes' budget on a winter coat; I ended up getting the Seasalt janelle as remembered Lib and Dry (?) saying how good it was. The sun is out today, natch!

shopafrolic · 10/05/2017 20:58

In other news I bought some more NYX make up. Another concealer (as recommended by trinny) and a couple of lip glosses. Really good low cost make up range.

Fedup I thought MK was your local store

libertydoddle · 10/05/2017 21:20

I think I've been saying we'll be in NZ by end of year fedup and not explained that we're spending time in Ireland and SE Asia on the way so leaving UK earlier. Our buyer survey happened today so hopefully all will be ok with that and we can start planning an exchange date.

You won't regret buying that coat fedup. What a great price for it!

Don't know if I said but I returned the Me&Em dress. It was good on and DH really liked it but the material was quite heavy and with long sleeves I think it might be too hot for a night out in June and for same reason wouldn't get worn much otherwise. Still looking for a dress for the event in June but absolutely nothing is appealing to me.

Going to read back - am sure I have missed things...

libertydoddle · 10/05/2017 21:26

Stokey shame you can't do the 8th but definitely will do a mid week drinks some evening before I go - maybe even more than one evening!

Dream sorry you won't be there but if you will be in London anytime in June / July let me know and we could do a coffee or gin Wink

One let me know what you'd like to do and we'll sort something and I'll keep you in the loop for any mini MUs.

FedupNagging · 10/05/2017 21:38

Ah, I must have been getting confused Lib. I guess you'll need to ship your furniture in the next few months too.

I'm lucky enough to be able to get to 2 decent JL's Shop. MK is about 40mins away and the other about 25 mins. The nearer one is in a city full of beautiful old buildings and fab indi coffee shops & bars etc so I prefer to go there.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 10/05/2017 21:59

thanks lib Smile coffee/brunch/lunch or something like that would work for me since i don't drink

libertydoddle · 11/05/2017 11:42

Shoes for Shop

Dreamqueen · 11/05/2017 15:10

Lib yes to a gin mini MU. Need to wave you off properly.

Where did you buy the NYX makeup Shop? I popped into our local Kiko & bought a few cheap & cheerful bits. New mascara on offer at 3.90 & a lovely orange matt lipstick. Great jeans. I have a pair of levi 711s & love them.

shopafrolic · 11/05/2017 16:37

In a v large Boots Dream
They're nice Lib - I pinned them a while back. I may be going off the idea (but that could purely be this random weather!)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/05/2017 19:15

It was so hot today unexpectedly!

So funny about your jeans shop. I received my white skinnies and am here to sing the praises of the Levis 721s! I just need to get them shortened even though I got a short leg.

I can currently make the 8th July, but I have 5 family birthdays between the 1st and 10th July so can't promise :( Definitely up for any mini MUs that happen though, there may have to be a few, you need a proper send off Lib!

Hope it's all going ok Amber. Lots of Wine for you and it'll all be worth it once you're in your lovely new home.

Hi all
I'm going to jump back in! Have had a busy couple of weeks and now I have a horrible cold.
I think I am ok for a mu on 8th July, feel sad you are leaving lib just as I have got to know you Smile
Good luck with the house move amber
Those jeans look good shop and I'm glad you are keeping the pink boots, I'm sure you can make them work.
fedup I have been shivering all week so that coat is v tempting!
No shopping to report but I have managed to sell quite a bit on ebay and am thinking about a new bag later on in the year if I can stop buying clothes I don't need Blush I like this www.gucci.com/uk/en_gb/pr/women/handbags/womens-shoulder-bags/gg-marmont-matelass-shoulder-bag-p-447632DRW1T1000?position=1&listName=ProductGridComponent&categoryPath=Women/Handbags/Womens-Shoulder-Bags but not sure if its a bit flashy for me. I love the celine mini belt bag but maybe too££. Anyone have any bag ideas?

Just remembered I have bought something recently this Darphin spf50 cream www.darphin.co.uk/product/8432/21668/skincare/category/best-sellers/intral-shield-spf50/for-sensitive-skin/index.tmpl its non greasy and sits very well with makeup in fact can be used instead of a primer.

queencerulean · 11/05/2017 20:56

Im in for the 8th. Train all booked. I'll have to choose shoes more wisely this time as I had the most horrendous blisters from my boots last time.

Speaking of shoes, how cute are these. If I hadn't already bought some French sole then I would get these.

Those jeans are perfect for you shop. The model even looks like you.
justa I''m not a fan of gold personally but I don't think it looks too blingy. Do you not have the disco though? It looks fairly similar.

DryWhiteagainW · 11/05/2017 21:43

You won't regret the SS coat Fedup v practical, warm and totally waterproof.

Liberty you know I'm booked for 8th. Can't wait!

Amber exciting stuff about your new house.

DryWhiteagainW · 11/05/2017 21:44

Shop those jeans look perfectly

BerniceBobsHerHair · 12/05/2017 09:47

Fedup I've got that coat too and have worn it loads. It is really long though which I found a bit strange to begin with. I'm intrigued by the town you mention with good coffee shops and old buildings...

Glad you found your jeans Shop I like the white boots in the pic too.

Justa that is a nice bag. Well done for ebay selling!

QueenC I've seen those shoes too, they are really pretty and for a good cause too.

Hopefully should be able to make the 8th.

shopafrolic · 12/05/2017 13:57

I wish I looked like that model QueenC!
