I've got my reserve outfit sorted out. Black skinnies, silk tshirt, heels and blazer. But am working on more interesting stuff (I may not get another chance to strut my stuff for a while). I have a pair of suede over knee boots (was going to get a sweater dress to wear with. In the end didn't get a sweater dress and haven't worn otk boots: predictable). I am wondering about wearing those boots with a dress (as they are otk I could wear a shorter dress without flashing any leg). Or getting a cheap asos jumpsuit to wear with heels and blazer. Has anyone had a facial that did wonders for a temporary fix eg caci?

Afternoon! We are away for the weekend. It's the annual Center Parcs holiday. Which means hoodies, jeans and trainers are my staple for 4 days It's only 5pm on day 2 and i am knackered already after 3 different activities and a long bike ride. I have ducked out of the swimming this afternoon to mumsnet rest

Marsha, there are a couple of places in Spain and Italy that we have considered going to, I will come back with links. We aren't doing a beach holiday until October this year so we are likely to do Cyprus or Greece (yet again!) then to catch the last of the sun before we head into winter.

Bloomed, I had a look through my wardrobe to work out what I would wear if i was going to an art gallery, an i chose this Michael Kors lace jumpsuit as an alternative to a sparkly top, tapered trousers and heels. I think it's the right mix of smart casual. Not sure if something liked that would work for you?

Thanks Blingy yes that's a good idea. And it would mean I'm not hiding myself in layers (which I often do in jackets) and also not too formal in a dress. Does it come up long?
I haven't moved from the sofa so you've put me to shame with your bike ride.

Just had my first gin. I'm off to an engagement party for my friends daughter & fiancee. Booked into a very unglamourous Travelodge for the night. much gin will be consumed.

OOTD pistols (fav boot) pleated navy Vero Modo dress( another cheap & cheerful Fav) black Massimo Dutti blazer & much bling & full face of makeup.

Waving to all from Dorset. Hideous drive down here - took forever but hit the beach and a beautiful pub in a tiny cove near where Broadchurch is filmed. Drove through West Bay afterwards to see all the spots where scenes were done.
Weather tomorrow looks lousy but there is an indoor pool here so all is not lost.
Wearing EC black and white stripe sweatshirt with black skinnies and ever faithful Pistols.

Bloomed yes that MK jumpsuit was about it was 2/3 inches too long for me so I had it taken up. I am same size as you (6) but 5'1".

Everyone, on reflection i don't think i will be doing a bling spreadsheet! I looked at my bling Pinterest board and i have 123 items pinned. Given that i only joined Pinterest a few years ago, and thinking of the number of jewellery boxes i have, my estimate is that I probably have 300-ish items, maybe more. Never thought about it before and sounds awful written down but in my defence......I am very sentimental about jewellery and never throw anything away (last week I was wearing an aquamarine ring given to me over 25 years ago by an ex boyfriend). Surprisingly, despite all my disasters I don't tend to lose too much of it! Although.....I was doing an ariel adventure yesterday and had to take my bling off. As i prepared to go on the zip wire with my engagement ring, eternity ring and raindance ring tucked into my jeans, I wasn't sure whether what i was more scared of, the zip wire or my bling falling into the lake!

So day 3 of our holiday weekend, and i will be in yet another fetching Jack Wolfskin hoodie and j crew jeans. My body is telling me to get lost after putting it through so much effort last weekend! Happy Sundays all!

Have a great time in Dorset shop. We actually stayed in west bay about 4 years ago when the first series of broadchurch had just been shown. I really liked the area and would love to go back. Did you pack your stripes?!

Center parcs sounds fun blingy. Surely your bling would have been safer on than in a pocket?

I'm trying to persuade DH to go to Cyprus in oct half term for my birthday. He's reluctant because of the DC on a 4 hr flight but I'm working on him Don't think he will book anything until after menorca in June though....

Everyone I've taken the mink off now ....head is surprisingly ok but suspect a stealth hangover may come later. My eyebrows are intact but managed to singe hair on a tea light...bloody highly flammable hair products/naked flame combo

OOh I was looking at Cyprus last night for an October break. Will it still be warm then? Capital of culture would make it even more enticing.

Family day today but off shopping tomorrow and will report back.

Like Dry I feel ok at the moment but think I might be flagging by this afternoon. Had a great night. Travelodges are v useful if you just want a clean basic room to sleep in after a night out. Outfit worked really well & I used my grey cross body Stell McCartney bag for the first time. it's smaller that the usual huge bag that I like but pared down my essentials to lipstick, credit card & phone.

I saw your beach pics Shop, it looks fantastic.

I love Cyprus & can reccommend it. We are going to Tropea in Italy at begining of July. Unfortunately flying with the dreaded Ryanair . Used Airbnb to book a penthouse apartment. Mixing a bit of culture with beach. ( I'll be the one on the beach while family do the culture bit)

Ooh interesting about paphos. I think the hotel I was looking at was flying into the other airport but guess the island isn't too huge? I might have to step up my PR campaign for the holiday . happy I think the weather looked about 24 for Cyprus in oct when i looked into it, so should still be nice.

Cyprus in October is supposed to be warm by day, just cooler at night so extra layers needed.
Rubbish day here today, it has rained all day. We headed to Lyme Regis for lunch in our favourite pub but when the weather didn't ease we headed back to the cottage and played games for the rest of the afternoon.
If I'd paid for this weekend I'd be v miserable, but since we won it I am feeling ok.
It's MummyShop's birthday today. I feel bad that I am not there after the year we've had but I called and she seemed happy. We're having her round for dinner on Friday instead.

Just looked at my 'My Wardrobe' Pinterest board and over 400 items on there and I prob pin about 50% of stuff I own, so no WAY am I doing a spreadsheet. Packed about 2/3 of my shoes today and that was over 100 pairs alone.

dry I surpassed myself this week - home at 3am, 8.30am and 1am the last three nights - quiet night in tonight! I was bloody ropey yesterday.

stokey I have loads of Ordinary stuff. Really rate it, my fave is the vitamin C one. Also got a load for my mum and she likes it too.

Not much to report in fashion terms. Have been wearing a pair of pearl studded sandals from M&S a lot - plastic fantastic but uber comfy. Also a enjoying a pair of pink satin kitten heels from Zara.
