Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

Quick post to say that if anyone is looking for nice sunglasses, TK Maxx have some lovely ones online. I bought these beautys They arrived today & are keepers.

Everyonelovessparkles · 25/04/2017 09:03

Morning all.

Your lunch outfit from Sunday sounded fab dream, I bet you looked great. Your friend's outfit sounded great too shop, that's the kind of style I wish I could emulate.

How do you categorise things on the spreadsheet blair? Is it by item or occasion?

Good luck with the pitch lib.

These shorts in navy arrived yesterday. I'm pleased with them. I got a 12 and they are a little lose but I know that the 10 would be too tight. I wish there was an 11! At least this allows for some holiday weight gain though Grin What do you think of these sandals ? I want something other than a flat sandal but something with a bit of height that can be worn with casual outfits as well as something a bit smarter. They do it in gold as well.

shopafrolic · 25/04/2017 09:21

Top tip Dream - some nice ones on there.
Everyone I do tend to lust after everything that she wears. Basically everything that I would buy if I could ever afford it Grin. Your sandal link isn't working for me.

Morning! It's sunny but so chilly. Poor dcs are supposed to be in their summer uniform but no way was I sending Ds in wearing shorts. Got there and realised 90% of parents had the same thoughtGrin

Am wearing my olive green me&em ruched dress. I don't normally wear it in Spring as the material is thick but I need the warmth today! With my beige trench coat and tan Mulberry Roxanne, I look like Lib has dressed meGrin

dream DH has bought some great sunglasses from TKMaxx. Those ones look perfect for you.

What leg length did you get in the Richmond shorts everyone? I'm wierdly calm about the pitch. The nerves will hit later. I am wearing the Boden Rosalind dress with R&B tan Chelsea boots, opaques, Burberry trench coat.

Shop i had a look at Wyse London - lovely sweaters! Your friend sounds very chic. Good tip on the laces.

libertydoddle · 25/04/2017 09:24

I got the 4 inch lib they are short but not hot pants short. I'm just under 5'6 so they're mid thigh.

blingy Grin but outfit does sound lovely.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/04/2017 12:06

Hi everyone

We had a break in at our garage block (noticed when we got home yesterday) :( our friend's motorbike was stolen, which is ironic because he was keeping it at ours because it had already been attempted stolen twice (once succeeded but luckily recovered later by police) from his flat in SW london a few weeks ago. He wasn't even surprised Hmm DH's bike was ok but damaged by them. Feel really gutted and didn't sleep well last night, the lock is broken so we had to park one of the cars in front of the door. Getting it fixed today but what a pain. People can be scum!

shopafrolic · 25/04/2017 12:19

Oh Blair so sorry to hear this. As a victim of repeated crimes in our village I know how horrid it feels - especially when we work so hard for the things we have. A big hug for you.
I like those Everyone

Separate post on a lighter note...

Lib you'll be fine - thinking of you Flowers

Blingy great outfit (feeling the trench love today with you two - love everything about the outfit in this blog post)

I have that Wyse London sweater pinned shop, I love rainbows (but don't own any rainbow clothes!)

Ok, the spreadsheet... Blush
I didn't want to say too much because I feel totally nerdy, but some of you actually seem interested Grin, so here goes.
I wrote a list from memory of all items in categories (in the order they are in in my main wardrobe), then went through pinterest to add what I'd missed. For each item I added a rough cost, colour, brand, fabric and where I bought it from. (This only took a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon)
From memory;
21% of my wardrobe is navy
35% is synthetic (as opposed to cotton, wool, silk, linen, leather)
19% is designer
8% is from the outnet Grin
I didn't do accessories, but might do that separately. Not sure what I've learnt so far from this really but it was interesting

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/04/2017 12:37

Thanks shop :)

shopafrolic · 25/04/2017 12:47

You see Blair - I could do the spreadsheet bit (and will when I get a chance) - but then I'd probably have to send it to you to do the maths Blush

libertydoddle · 25/04/2017 13:02

Now i want to do a spreadsheet!!!

If i was asked to guess i would have assumed more designer items for you Blair...

queencerulean · 25/04/2017 14:07

Jet lag is a bastard isn't it? Just had to leave work early as couldn't concentrate!
Interesting blair, I may do one myself although I could say now that probably 90% is navy Grin. Sorry to hear about the break in.

shop I love wyse stuff. I may invest in a rainbow jumper in the winter (like blair I like rainbows).

everyone I quite like those although I'm not a huge wedge fan.

Good luck lib

Thought I'd update on the new makeup. The benefit 'they're real' mascara is fab. I don't get any panda eyes at all and it came off ok with my usual cleanser (cetaphil). The Dior lipstick is sooo smooth and moisturising and has good staying power. The nars orgasm blusher is a lovely colour (I was told I was looking well today-although that could be the sun tan) but it is iridescent which I'm not too sure of. Think I may have been a bit heavy handed with it though this morning!

Ootd was boring-we all overslept so had no time to think-jeans, navy blouse, grey cardigan. But I did wear the lovely new peacock scarf!

shopafrolic · 25/04/2017 14:16

This was the Wyse cashmere she had on. Fab quality.

Sorry to hear about the break in blair. Hope you're ok. Flowers Your spread sheet is pretty detailed. I guess it's interesting to see written down just what clothes you have and if there are any patterns and themes. I'm keeping a spread sheet of purchases made this year (I did it last year too) and make a note of any duffers. Last year's showed me that I bought a lot in the sales which didn't really work out so I was more considered this year.

I love that jumper shop, In fact I love all the rainbow ones and the star ones too. Grin

queenc glad your make up buys have been a success. I'm looking for a new blusher, I'm quite rosy cheeked so usually stay away from it in fear of looking too red, but I think some Cheek bone definition would do me good.

I might see if I can get to r&b to try on those sandals as think they could work well.

lib the boden Cambridge jeans came and are going back. I got a 12 but think I could have got away with a 10 as they were quite lose and made my thighs and arse look massive. Sad

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 25/04/2017 15:47

sorry to hear about the break in blair people really can be such scumbags and it's so disheartening when you work hard for what you have and someone else just decides they can help themselves. Hope your friends bike gets recovered and that Dh's bike is repairable Thanks

on a lighter note blair i think your spreadsheet is a fab idea and i do think i might do one myself at some point, maybe after i've moved, again.

Good luck lib you'll be great i'm sure of it Thanks

been shopping for bits for ds's birthday today and i'm shattered now. Cannot believe that on thursday, i will be the mother of a teenager!!! i don't feel anywhere near old enough for it to be true Grin

really feeling the love for wearing shorts and tights right now, so comfy and go with 95% of my tops don't know why i never tried it before tbh apart from cripplingly low body image and self esteem issues Hmm

libertydoddle · 25/04/2017 16:45

one you certainly dont look old enough to be mother to a teenager!!

Pitch was a bit 'meh' totally disinterested panel. Oh well Confused

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 25/04/2017 16:50

ah, thanks lib i appreciate the compliment but it is indeed true that he shall be THIRTEEN!!!!! I'm sure five minutes ago he was a chubby cheeked toddler with his blonde locks in his eyes all the time! HE was the most adorable looking toddler, all squidgy, pink cheeks and shiny blonde hair Smile he is now a very handsome lad and still has the blonde hair and pinchable face

DryWhiteagainW · 25/04/2017 17:34

Absolutely Freezing here today. Hail this afternoon. I wa in a swimming C issue on Saturday now in 120denier opaques and feeling I need my winter coat again Sad

Blair sorry about the break in. Horrid for you. Love the idea of a spread sheet. Wouldn't dare do mi r though.

Saw a Bobbt Brown lipstick on a friend with similar colouring to me. Just bought and tried it.. no 23 Soft Rose. Pinkier than normal for me but lovely everyday.

DryWhiteagainW · 25/04/2017 17:35

And shop I'd not heard of Wyse before, love that jumper. And your pink sweater sounds such a joy....thank hod you were te diagnosed, so much better in brights.

Longislandicetee · 25/04/2017 19:30
