Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

Managed to catch up on the thread but might have forgotten a few things as a lot has happened!

Glad you found your bracelet blingy. Your easter outfit sounded fab. Any moe thoughts on a new bag?

Glad you had good holidays marsha and shop.

Great t'shirts dream. Even though I've only met you once, I think you could get away with wearing them. Especially with the ruched skirt and trainers.

Good news about the belt blair. Hope it met expectations when you took it home.

lib you've made some nice spring purchases. Glad the poncho is cosy. Smile

We had a nice week in
Cornwall. The weather was better than expected. My packing was ok but weather uncertainty meant it wasn't quite right. Though my wardrobe did look a bit like shop's with all my stripes tops! It feels like spring has Finsllt arrived so need to work on some body maintenance if I'm going to get my legs out more and also need some summery shoes.

Waves to everyone else and sorry I've forgotten missed any one.

shopafrolic · 21/04/2017 18:36

Quick question to Londoners. If I want to blitz &Other Stories and Uniqlo tomorrow where am I best to head that's near Covent Garden?

OP posts:
libertydoddle · 21/04/2017 18:55

Shop Other Stories is on Regent St (near Cos - closest Tube is Oxford Circus). I'd go there first, then go to the Uniqlo at 311 Oxford Street which is very close to Bond St station where you can hop on the Central Line to Holborn for Covent gdn. There is a branch of Other Stories at 431 Oxford Street (so not far from Uniqlo) but the Regent Street branch is bigger.

happypoobum · 21/04/2017 19:11

and then you can pop into Liberty Grin

shopafrolic · 21/04/2017 20:00

Thanks Lib

Belt unboxing! It's lovely but needs one extra hole, then I'll be able to wear it with dresses or jeans.

Blair DD already has a job more locally. Hollister is in the city so travel costs etc not worth it. She'd have loved it though obsessed with clothes, wonder where she gets that fromHmm

AmberNectarine · 21/04/2017 22:00

What size did you get Blair, am considering. Kids ones are great as a waist belt for me but I'd like the jeans options too!

Dreamqueen · 22/04/2017 08:53

Lovely belt Blair

Shop My Uniqlo shopping arrived. That T shirt is huge so if you're buying onliyou need to size down. I've reordered it in small.

One sorry to read about your hip pain.

Everyone glad you enjoyed your holiday. I tidied my wardrobe yesterday & also seem to have many many striped things.

I wore my striped ruched skirt last night with this top and pistols with black leather jacket. I reallylike the skirts & thier stretchy waistband.

shopafrolic · 22/04/2017 09:55

Thanks for the sizing info Dream am hoping to head to store but will go to &OS as a priority and then see if I have time.
On train into London, wearing R&B black skinnies, IM Crisi boots, black ASOS sweat with sequin sleeves and IM jacket. Mulberry bag. Feel lousy as had a horrific headache all last night but I haven't seen some of these guys in over 20 years and don't want to miss out. Not sure I'm on good form though Hmm

Blair I meant to say the belt looks fab - are you pleased?

Everyonelovessparkles · 22/04/2017 13:29

Have a good trip to London shop. Hope you get what you want.

lib was it the girlfriend jeans you got from boden? They look good. How is the fit as I'm tempted sheep especially as I have a voucher and there's meant to be 25% off starting tomorrow.

I sent the hoxton jeans back. They were about 4 inches too long and whilst the denim was very soft, I just didn't think they were worth £200. So my jeans hunt continues....(most boring saga in the world)

one that's a nightmare about your house. Hope you get it resolved one way or the other.

Longislandicetee · 22/04/2017 16:10

Hello everyone!

One very sorry to hear about your accommodation issues, but glad it's getting sorted out quickly.

Blair, love the belt! That Karen Millen top is one of those styles that i have found really frustrating. Looks great on other people, would look great on me.

Shop, love the outfit today!

Everyone, welcome back! Glad you enjoyed the holiday. At this time of the year in Cornwall stripes have got to be expected, surely?!

Dry those shops scare me! Glad your dd is being level headed about it all.

Lib so glad the poncho worked out!

I have to say i love my ootd. First thing we had a smart casual family event so i went with Rails shirt, j crew jeans, tan blazer, grey lowlands, and my grey mulberry bag. Bling is my two Hermes bracelets stacked (blue one newly found), Tiffany diamond pendant (newly found) and my raindance ring. I tone down the make up on the weekend so i have tinted moisturiser, slight blusher, eyeliner, and a tinted lip balm which looks more natural on the weekend.

Right off to have a mooch around some websitesSmile

libertydoddle · 22/04/2017 16:43

Everyone it was the Cambridge ankle skimmer jeans I got in the Vintage raw edge - very happy with them. They are true to size IMO.

AmberNectarine · 22/04/2017 16:56

I'm wearing topshop baxters today and have concluded these really are the best jeans for me. Going to buy a load of them!

Longislandicetee · 22/04/2017 17:12

I feel that way about my j crews Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/04/2017 18:47

Am very pleased thanks shop! Amber sizing was a pain... the SA helped me. I got a size 80. The belt has 5 holes and it turns out with my high rise jeans I wear it on the 3rd hole, but needs another to be small enough for waist Hmm So not sure if that means I could have sized down? I wear a 28 in jeans and my waist is 28 at the smallest point. You're much smaller than me so would definitely need a 70 or 75. I don't think they go smaller than that.

Blingy OOTD sounds fab! Hope you had a fun time with family.

Shop how was today? any buys?

Dry oh that's ok then, no real choice to make but she gets to keep the ego boost Grin

Went for a walk with DH today and pub lunch. There was a market on, and we bought a bottle of local gin. Might crack it open! Gin

kittyhello · 22/04/2017 19:25

ootd sounds fab Blingy which JCrew jeans do you wear? Been looking at their jeans but can't decide which style to buy.

Amber I used to like TS Baxters but my white ones are too skinny, or maybe I'm just a bit too chunky for them atm Grin

Shop looks like you had a great reunion, I love when a catch up goes waaay better than expected.

shopafrolic · 22/04/2017 20:11

OMG Kitty way better than expected - so much fun. Two people I hadn't seen in over 20 years and slotted straight back together.
Will report back on shopping tomorrow.

I've just had a FB rant at john Lewis about £1 yes £1. I ought 2 packs of coat hangers yesterday & paid £19. while unpacking them today i say a price tickt that said £9. I was annoyed but realisedthat ce sera sera, Decided to phone the helpline to alert them of their mistake & frankly wondered why I bothered by the end of the call. #Stealthpriceincreases

AmberNectarine · 22/04/2017 22:08

I was thinking 70 (indeed, tried to get DH to buy that at duty free) but may need to go in and try. Thanks for the info!

AmberNectarine · 22/04/2017 22:12

shop my two very best friends are school friends and we have been best friends for twenty-five years. Mad, but lovely. We went to an organised school reunion a few years ago for a laugh - my highlight was drawing cocks on the roll-up white boards, then rolling them up. I like to think I raised a few smiles on Monday morning #actyourshoesize

Everyonelovessparkles · 23/04/2017 07:39

Thanks lib. Have ordered the Cambridge and cavendish with the 25% off (on till Wednesday with code 2c2z if anyone has their eye on anything).

I would definitely buy aload of the baxters amber if you think they are the ones for you. The perfect jeans are the holy grail Grin

OOTD sounded lovely blingy. Love the bling accessories. Smile

Glad you had a good time at the reunion shop. I'm not friends with anyone from school but some of my best friends are uni friends which I've now known for over 20 years Shock

Annoying about JL dream but glad you stood your ground.

Looks like another sunny spring day. Hope you all have a lovely day.

shopafrolic · 23/04/2017 08:44

Good effort Amber
A couple of them bought along old exercise books and diaries from the time. So hilarious how little work we did, and the stupid notes we used to write to each other (old school texting before mobile phones I guess). So many giggles. Not sure I could do a proper reunion at the school but seeing this bunch was just perfect.

Shopping....
these boots I dithered for ages over these as I originally wanted them in the black snakeskin but they are end of line and sold out everywhere. This colour will be good for Spring and still worked with black jeans. Plus the SA gave me 10% off.
For those who saw Trinny's visit to Stories I bought this bright pink sweatshirt which I LOVE.
Then I headed to Uniqlo and picked up Dream's tee
And
glittery Marvel tee
Tried on a few other bits in Stories which I'll link later when on my laptop. Really good stock in there right now and you can get a code texted to your phone for 10% off at the till so make sure you ask a SA.
