Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

It's a lovely dress and would look great on you Blingy but i think it's too similar to the other one.

MiniLib is a bit emotional these days. She is very aware of the moving plans and worried about missing her school, friends, this house and her cousins in Ireland. She keeps swinging between being quite bossy and naughty and then asking to be cuddled like a baby. I swing between feeling terrible for her and being totally exasperated.

FedupNagging · 16/04/2017 23:16

I had to sit through The Smurfs Hmm the other day-Boss Baby looked marginally better but no amount of bribery persuasion would get dgc to change his mind. Still, I managed 40 winks so not all bad!

Have fallen into bed after a busy day with family feeling a little queasy, I've definitely overdosed on chocolate and wine

Your outfit today sounded lovely Blingy & am so relieved you've found your bracelet.

Lib hope dh feels better soon. How are you doing?

Hi Happy, I have gazelles and find them true to size, if a little roomy. Which colour have you ordered?

Stokey · 17/04/2017 08:23

Hello Happy , I quite fancy some gazelles for summer too. I normally find Adidas come up a bit narrow, which is good for me.

Have you tried the M&S gingham with floaty sleeves Mara?

Gorgeous bags Blingy. I love the unstructured Loewe one particularly, but can see the Chloe & Miu Miu are more you.

Shop your stripe "problem" made me laugh. Maybe checks are next?

My Dds voted for Beauty & the Beast over Boss Baby (boo) & The Smurfs (phew). It was a bit scary but helped by them knowing the story. We watched Sing on Saturday though and now they're both just walking around going "O my God, look at my butt" 😶

Still in the midst of unpacking, decluttering & picture hanging here. Also got Dds party for 25 kids at home this weekend, arrrgggh, so no time for fashion

Oh Dry just started watching Outlander, I can see the appeal (Jamie) !

Dreamqueen · 17/04/2017 09:35

Hi Happy I love my gazelles & find them true to size and really comfy. Much more comfy than my Stand which I also love.

Shop my wardrobe looks very much like yours. I love stripes.

Glad that everyone is enjoying the Easter hols.

happypoobum · 17/04/2017 11:09

Thanks everyone - these are the ones I ordered.

Will let you know if they come up too narrow in case anyone else wit wider feet is lurking! My feet aren't quite wide enough for wide shoes but sometimes regular shoes do pinch.

I went to M&S early today but came out empty handed which is most unusual. I think I just want to reorganise what I have and really see it and use it and then decide where the gaps are.

Happy Easter Monday everyone Easter Smile

libertydoddle · 17/04/2017 11:44

25 kids Stokey you madwoman!

At laptop so can finally link some of my purchases...

Top from Zara Not quite my colours but I absolutely loved it and had to have it.
Zara T-shirt. This is very bright!
Uniqlo blouse Really love the colour of this.

I also ordered this Splendid poncho.

Fedup DH has a cough he just can't shake off - he's finally seeing the GP about it tomorrow. I'm feeling better actually but am back on AD's Sad. Sod it, think I'll just have to suck it up and take them for now. With the Easter weekend I haven't been able to get my bloods taken yet - hopefully will get them done tomorrow.

MarshaBrady · 17/04/2017 21:15

oh my I missed you all!

The holiday was really good, really nice to have sunny, warm to hot days. Ah just what I needed!

I really need to change my email so I can post whilst away, won't be able to not post for 2.5 weeks in summer.

MarshaBrady · 17/04/2017 21:16

ps Happy Easter lovely voguettes Easter Smile

Longislandicetee · 17/04/2017 21:40

Hi Marsha!!!! Hope you had a fab holiday! You're not back at work tomorrow are you? I am so not looking forward to tomorrow morning.Sad

Stokey, hope today worked out well it's the kind of mad thing i would do! I love the Loewe bag too but i don't think it's me. Mulberry do this bucket bag which is also lovely, but i know that the last time i had a bucket bag i ended up gifting it on so i need to stay away from it!

Nice buys Lib. Love the poncho! Couldn't wear it at all but it doesn't mean i can't admire my friends in it!

I decided to have a massive bling sort out today, because temporarily losing the Boodles bracelet freaked me out and made me want to find 3 other bits of bling that weren't missing but were in my tardis of a jewellery cupboard. Took me all morningHmm

I have to share my major weekend purchase with you. It's a garment steamer which cost me £23. Travel sized so it sits inside my wardrobe. It's brilliant - takes 90 seconds to heat up and does a dress in a couple of minutes. Most of my work clothes are dry clean only and when i have worn them once and could get another 1/2 wears out of them, it's a nightmare because i have creases in them. I was doing my blazer brushing it with my Lakeland clothes brush and steaming it. I am nerdily happy about it!Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 17/04/2017 23:06

Hello ....I've been AWOL due to lengthy ills visit and totally addicted guilty pleasure binge watching of Sons of Anarchy Blush absolutely brilliant if you're into that stuff

Skimmed to get up to date, apologies if I've missed anything.

Liberty your DDs fashion comments about her the Acheron made me chuckle.......sometimes I wonder what goes back home animal print and silver shoes go down a storm with little people

Stokey Outlander WOW! Totally cringed but addictive so much so that last summer I binge read all 7 books back to back, 900pages each Shock would NOT recommend I now have a huge thing for men in kilts and Scott accents.

Bought some Zadig and Voltaire sunglasses in H Nics the other day, tortoise shell Rayban Wayfarer style, love them a lot. Need sun now.

I actually think I do have a terrible secret Netflix/Amazon binge watching problem Grin............damn "my name's Dry and I'm a TV addict" one episode is just not enough. Need to start a thread for support.......................

DryWhiteagainW · 17/04/2017 23:13

Some very weird predictive text there apologies....

And Stokey season 2 is rubbish until half way through when it really gets better so don't give up.........

FedupNagging · 18/04/2017 13:37

Has everyone gone back to school and work today? It's very quiet.

Marsha sounds like you had a lovely much needed holiday.

Lib don't worry too much about going back on the ad's - if they help it's a good thing.

Dry Netflix is the sole reason I don't read as many books as I used to; it's so easy to get hooked on bingeworthy tv. Currently working our way through Line of duty and have a scandi noir lined up next.

Quite inadvertently I am doing a totally 70's double denim ootd: Next dark rinse flare jeans, white shirt (Asos) stans and lfaded denim jacket from Mint Velvet. It looks pretty good actually Grin

I am well overdue a hair cut and colour so have booked a last minute appointment first thing tomorrow; have decided to go for a bit of a re style so watch this space.

FedupNagging · 18/04/2017 13:38

May even go for a different colour -eek!

BerniceBobsHerHair · 18/04/2017 17:02

My children are still off SCHOOL, which is why I haven't been on here

Fedup 70s style double denim sounds good. I need a restyle so interested to hear what you go for.

Welcome back marsha envious of your sun!

blingy good news about your bracelet.

Love your purchases lib - and with the Ads you have to do what you have to do.

libertydoddle · 18/04/2017 17:31

Thanks Bernice Smile

Looking forward to hearing what you get done Fedup. I liked the styles you have pinned over the last day or two.

Have just bought these Clarks sandals in yellow. They look really good with skinnies and the new Zara blouse - feels like a good springtime look! And they'll work with lots of my dresses for summer.

shopafrolic · 18/04/2017 17:52

Can I jump straight back in Voguettes?
Happy belated Easter to you all!
Marsha sunshine looked sooooo good. Glad you had fun.
We had an amazing time, booked a property in Sussex which had a private path from the back garden straight to the beach. Such luxury to just go for a walk by myself and listen to the waves.
No real fashion news to report - as you saw, my holiday wardrobe was fairly uninspired but worked a treat. Grin
We had a lovely meal out for our wedding anniversary in Arundel. I wore my faithful HL leather skinnies (thanks Lib), my grey jewelled J Crew sweatshirt, and my SE Karen boots which will probably need replacing next year. The suede is looking dirty and scuffed.
Horror of the holiday (fashion related) was a dirty great big scuff mark down the white section of my MK tote Shock - no idea how to remove. Any ideas welcome........
Lib love those shoes for you. Love yellow for Spring.

Welcome back Shop! Loved the pics, really glad you had a nice time Thanks

Thank you for the welcome back lovelies, so nice, will be back with a proper catch up, big love to everyone Easter Smile. And I have some MiC to catch up on.. makes everyone feel better about what they watch Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 19/04/2017 09:51

Tried the double denim this morning.....looked like an ageing hill billy Shock have replaced with black skinnies

Longislandicetee · 19/04/2017 11:17

Grin Dry too funny!

happypoobum · 19/04/2017 15:03

The gazelles are here! They are really nice but as a flat footed person used to converse, the bump on the inside feels very odd. I guess "normal" people have a raised arch there?

Anyway they are not narrow or small at all. I ordered my usual 5/38 and they are great.

Mumsnet Vogue - vol 77 - the Spring trends edition
libertydoddle · 19/04/2017 18:00

Thay look good Happy. I couldn't comment on arches as I am quite flat footed too!

Boden vintage wash raw edge jeans have arrived and are perfect Smile. Also the linen t-shirt in kale which is lovely and a lot cheaper than the Jigsaw or CdC options especially with the 20% off. Thanks again to kitty for linking that for me.

The Splendid poncho arrived today as well and is also LOVE. I'll wear this a lot.

Need to take a little shopping break now Blush

FedupNagging · 19/04/2017 18:22

Nice trainers Happy. As I am prone to fallen arches, I really like the raised arch which is also why I love fitflops

Good purchases Lib - how deep is the v on the linen t? Love the camellia colourway.

I bought this navy blazer today - I love that it is such a soft fabric. Just need to replace my grey one but that can wait until autumn.

New hairdo is done and dusted - shoulder length layered lob more or less which in theory will help in dealing with the curls/frizz Hmm we'll see!

happypoobum · 19/04/2017 18:27

I love that blazer Fedup

I have a navy tweed Joules blazer with elbow patches that I adore.

I also bought this coat in the Jaeger sale. It's really nice, but I need to get a decent leather bag to go with it - will wait until after the summer.

Mumsnet Vogue - vol 77 - the Spring trends edition
libertydoddle · 19/04/2017 21:06

Snuggled up in my new poncho on the couch, i may never take it off. DH has just asked if i plan to sleep in it and reminded me it's an item of clothing and not a husband replacement Grin

Great coat happy. Good classic purchase.

Navy blazer also a classic fedup. Are you happy with your hair? You don't sound very sure.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 20/04/2017 08:15

Mara did you mention wanting one of these tops?
