Join us to talk all things fashion and beauty. The clocks go forward next Sunday (who's bright idea was it to organise that on Mother's Day?!). Longer days and hopefully some sunshine - we're dying to get our ankles out.
All welcome :)

I'd probably give it to my local framing place to do Blair as it's one of those things that can look really bad if it's not done properly. I do think you only stick them to the top of the mount / backing board and not all around as otherwise they will wrinkle over time in the frame.

maradesbois · 13/04/2017 18:26

Lib wow, it's getting serious!

Blair that's funny that mil and sil dress the same, is probably something subconscious. Am sure they see you as a very stylish addition to the family Smile. Am sure you'll have some keepers from your big order.

News from the BA first class lounge - showing off as I don't do it often (not Concorde lounge though, wrong terminal). Am admiring the lady next to me, tan apc bag and wedges, wide leg jeans and teal tee, she reminds me of you lib.

Also came on here to share a fab real Vogue celeb spot earlier today on Bond St, Sarah Harris. She had her gorgeous grey hair down and was wearing cropped boyfriends, black blazer and black leather espadrilles.

kittyhello · 13/04/2017 21:42

Have a lovely holiday Mara good celeb spotting, I love her hair it looks so silky.

Lib those Jigsaw linen t-shirts wash well, can't remember if I hand washed or machine washed them, they've stayed in shape, just tried one on in order to report back!

Boden do them too, also in a nice olive colour as well Good luck with the house sale, scary and exciting in equal measures I imagine.

Blair I'm sure you looked lovely on holiday and it would be really weird if the three of you looked the same. Hope your purchases are keepers.

Finally got hold of some trousers i'd been after for a while

chambray trousers, just hope they're not too long

shopafrolic · 14/04/2017 17:04

My name is Shop and I have an addiction to stripes. Waving hello and sharing a pic of my holiday wardrobe - made me LOL Grin

That's too funny ShopGrin

I am wearing this Whistle top in honour of you with j crew jeans (what else?!) and grey Aquazzura flats.

Just taken the dcs to the cinema and discovered just how sensitive my ds is - he thanked me with a big hug at the end of the film as the credits were rolling and said he enjoyed the film then burst into floods of tears that when Boss Baby went away it had made him cry a little. I was in the foyer soothing him to remind him that Boss Baby came back. Bless.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day, especially those on holiday!

libertydoddle · 14/04/2017 21:36

Hilarious shop.

Kitty thanks for the feedback and your efforts to actually get the top out and check are why i love MNV!!! I am edging closer to buying the Jigsaw one.

Thanks for the Boss Baby idea Blingy. DD keeps asking me to take her to Beauty and the Beast but I've said no as i think the beast would give her nightmares and I'm not at all comfortable with the storyline.

We went to Westfield today. I tried on loads in Cos but nothing quite worked. I picked up a couple of bits in both Zara and Uniqlo. Will link when I'm next on the laptop. Then after the very 'not in the spirit of Good Friday' brunch and shopping in Westfield i went to the close to 2 hour long Good Friday service. I felt very at peace after it. Never sure when i occasionally go to church and get that good feeling if it's spirituality or childhood memories at play but it's good which ever it is.

libertydoddle · 14/04/2017 21:52

And DD made me think of dry today...I bought a top in Zara which i love DD spotted it and said 'Mrs X (TA) has that top Mummy, you should get it and you need black leggings to wear it with. It looks lovely on Mrs X' Grin Made me wonder how many of the Mum's from Drys pupils get fashion advice inspired by dry given how well she dresses for work!

Longislandicetee · 14/04/2017 21:56

You're brave Lib. I think I have done good Friday mass once since we had the kids. Them going nuts during a 2 hour service in a packed church doesn't appeal. So I have done fast and abstinence for the day, we said a quick prayer at 3pm then shot off to the cinema.Grin Am having a nice Pinot noir as abstinence doesn't cover booze!! The dcs loved boss baby, so I am sure mini Lib will too. Dd is desperate to see beauty and the beast but I am worried she's so sensitive that she will be scared so we have avoided it so far!

Longislandicetee · 14/04/2017 22:05

Ooh there's a bag thread in s&b, with lovely pictures and no meanness. It's like the holy grail.

I am itching for a new bag...sigh!

libertydoddle · 14/04/2017 22:06

I did GF mass alone Blingy. No way would i take DD - she whines after 10 mins in church. Actually on reflection it might have been the hour and 50 mins of being alone that made me feel so good Grin.

libertydoddle · 14/04/2017 22:07

I want a new bag too... Not clear though about what i want.

Longislandicetee · 14/04/2017 22:17

You almost made me spit out my wineGrin I was so tempted to go alone as well! But honourably chose the film treat. This Chloé is my current favourite, but I love this Loewe flamenco bag. Those 2 are current season lusts. Then I have my 3 long term lusts Miu Miu, Celine Phantom and the LV Neverfull which I can never get else dsis will think I am stalking her!!

libertydoddle · 14/04/2017 22:29

I can totally see you with the Miu Miu! Would work so well with the new McQueen dress you wore to the MU.

I am still hankering after a Mulberry Lily but it's so £££. More affordable is a kakhi leather backpack style bag in Jigsaw but might be a pain for access to stuff.

Longislandicetee · 15/04/2017 11:41

Morning! I just found my bracelet!!!!!!!!!! GrinEaster SmileGin

Sooooooo happy!!!!! It had dropped off my bed when I was putting it on into an open bag.

libertydoddle · 15/04/2017 11:43

Thank goodness for that Blingy Easter Smile

Longislandicetee · 15/04/2017 11:53

You're not wrong there Lib! I had planned to have a proper look for it today so I am so relieved. That bag has been there the whole time, I would never have opened it as I don't think it would have occurred to me.Confused

Feel like I can a) have a proper Easter and b) spend again.....Felt wrong spending money with a £6k bracelet missingGrin

kittyhello · 15/04/2017 13:43

Yeah Blingy glad you found the bracelet, I bet you feel a huge weight has been lifted from you. Lovely bags you've linked, which one's your favourite?

So Boss Baby is worth going to see? I saw the trailer whilst watching lego Batman at the cinema, will try and take the dc before Tuesday.

Lib just to say if you do go for the linen tee from Jigsaw size down, I bought my regular size and it was huge so had to size down. Also the V is slightly deep which is okay for casual but may need a vest if wearing to work.

Longislandicetee · 15/04/2017 18:21

Kitty, both my dc loved it, ds more so, however, I didn't really see the big fuss and did get a little bored halfway through (it did start off really well though).

I am not sure which bag i want, which is probably why I haven't bought a new bag for a long time. I am not good with the big decisionsGrin

I have seen a couple of things on the high street that are "on trend" so unlikely to last more than this season so think of getting them (I am talking £50 in total!)

On the subject of bracelets, I am wearing this Tiffanys interlocking bracelett* today. It's so pretty. I love that you can wear either white metal or rose gold with it.

Happy Saturday evenings all!

maradesbois · 15/04/2017 19:38

Hello,

Phew Blingy, knew you would find it but feel relieved for you nonetheless Smile

lib know exactly what you mean about finding occasional mass going happy and soothing, I feel exactly the same now am over being forced to go every Sunday as a child. Think for me it's a lot about the familiarity of ritual. Df is away with us and faced with the dilemma of a big juicy steak yesterday looked conflicted for about one second then told us happily that fast and abstinence doesn't count 'when you're on your holidays'. So there you go!

Want a cheapish navy and white shoulder baring gingham summer top, am on the lookout. Zara looks good atm but promised myself would avoid it, apart from jackets everything I get there either falls apart or gets destroyed in the wash.

libertydoddle · 15/04/2017 21:49

Zara has lots of gingham mara. Will keep a look out. You are right about Mass, it is a soothing ritual but likewise it has taken me almost 25 years to get over the enforced Mass attendance! Funny re your DF. I hated GF as a child, totally boring day and no food.

I did some more orders today. Some Boden jeans, the olive linen Boden T that kitty linked and a Splendid poncho with the Spring 30% off from the Outnet. I did a bit of a tidy up and put away things like my Heatech layers and got out a couple of summer dresses and skirts.

Blingy i have just set up DD's Easter hunt using the clues you sent me last year!! Have you sorted yours?

Longislandicetee · 16/04/2017 18:24

Happy Easter everyone!! Easter Smile Can't believe I am first here today!

We have had such an awesome day. Church followed by an Easter egg hunt in the Church hall which was fab. we went home to discover the Easter bunny had been. Wink. So another mad dash both inside and outside the house looking for clues. A lovely roast lamb for lunch, Apple pie, hot cross buns and chocolates with some fab wine through the afternoon. We have been playing family games - it's like Christmas minus the stress.Grin

Ootd is pink mcqueen dress with black DvF cardigan and sparkly Carvela ballet pumps. Bling is a mix of pink pearls and diamonds (including newly found bracelet). I have had lots of compliments.

Lib I have now expanded the hunt to 20 clues as the kids are older. I was up making up the last of the clues last night. I will email to you so you can use next year. 3 of the clues were outside so very appropriate for you.

Hope everyone else has had a great day, especially those spending it with in laws. Easter Smile

libertydoddle · 16/04/2017 19:28

Had a good day here too. DH not feeling great so I packed a picnic lunch for me and DD and went to the local park. DD met several children she knew and spent a good 2 hours climbing trees, building a den and cycling!! Was great unplanned fun. Then we went to Boss Baby which she loved but like miniBlingy she cried in the car on the way home over the sad part.

The Easter hunt went well and Flowers Blingy for the expanded clue list!!!

Right - time to get DD to bed. Looking forward to a cold kiwi Sauvigon Blanc in about 30 mins Wink

happypoobum · 16/04/2017 20:03

Just popping in to join you or bit if that's OK?

dream I just ordered some gazelles and now have The Fear that they will be too small/narrow. I am usually a size 5 and ordered a 5/38. Were yours true to size?

Shopafrolic My holiday wardrobe looks very similar Easter Grin

libertydoddle · 16/04/2017 21:16

Welcome happy Smile

Longislandicetee · 16/04/2017 21:40

Noooo! Poor miniLib! I thought it was just ds being his usual sensitive self! Glad I tipped you off then. We decided to watch a film tonight at home. Dh was on Sky cinema and was choosing the film. He hovered over Bambi. I said no way!

Hello Happy!

I need to stop looking at McQueen dresses as i clearly have the beginning of an obsession. I have been admiring this one for the last 2/3 weeks. I am sure that i would only wear it a few times, so i keep telling myself i can't justify the price tag. No idea why i have just put it on my wish list!Hmm
