Third empty of the week!! Clarins gentle everyday energising cleansing gel. Have another in the stash to replace. I love this stuff.

FrustratedFrugal · 05/03/2017 10:11

You are on a roll Em! Well done!

I purchased two angled eyeliner brushes yesterday - a small one and an even smaller one. I don't have a proper feel for them yet (still pretty cack-handed) but the bigger one might be good for the upper lash line and the smaller one for the lower lashline. I tried the golden eye shadow shade from Nars Narsissist on my lower lashline today and quite liked it - some definition but not super harsh.

kwick · 05/03/2017 11:11

Ladies some advice please:
Amazeballs eye creams for fine lines and occasional puffiness?

Just found this thread again, but I have 2 empties to report.

1x Mini size Champneys 'a well earned treat' shower gel. Had an ok scent but probably wouldn't re-purchase as it wasn't amazing.
1x Sure anti-perspirant (the anti-bac one) - lovely but already have 5 replacements to go!

I'm nearly at the stage of finishing an entire eyeshadow from my Urban Decay Naked 2 pallet but will need to look through my makeup later on today.

applesandpears33 · 05/03/2017 14:05

A couple of empties to report - Clinique Almost Make-up tinted moisturiser which I've had for years and a tube of superdrug dry skin cream.

Needastrongone · 05/03/2017 15:13

Couple of empties to report too.

S&G The Scrub of your Life, full size. Love this, but need to use up other scrubs before I repurchase.
Nuxe small 'anti aging' day moisturiser, their anti-aging stuff isn't great really.

kwick · 05/03/2017 15:59

This has some great dupes on it!!!

Sleek Rose Gold dupe for Nars orgasm - have the Nars as a sample - rarely wear blush though.

Here to report 2 empties, neither of which I would buy again:

  • Garnier moisture bomb day cream - such a let down after loveliness of sheet mask - awful if you get on your lips. Looking forward to starting on Korres watercress cream at home and Yves Rocher in travel bag.
  • Body Shop nutriganics smoothing serum - was tacky after application, did no feel particularly smoothing or hydrating, hope my Dr Organics snail one will work better!

The link was broken, here is a new link.

I am a walking advertisement for that thread. I have a major Lidl fetish. I am currently wearing velour track pants from Lidl, purple Missha Serum (Estee Lauder Adv Night Repair dupe), Bourjois Healthy Mix and Kiko lipstick Wink Plus I might have washed my hair with Lidl Cien Repair shampoo Wink

kwick · 05/03/2017 19:58

My nearby Lidl is crap 😭 small and none of these amazeballs products I see listed...

Thanks frugal

2 more for me

Organix conditioner

Crabtree and Evelyn handcream

Well done using up the Channel quad KwikSmile

woodhill · 05/03/2017 20:23

Sorry I meant Frugal

ememem84 · 06/03/2017 12:30

Annoyed! I forgot to replace my cleanser this morning. So ended up using dhs. Clarins for men. My face feels quite nice now!

FrustratedFrugal · 06/03/2017 12:35

Thanks Woodhill Grin

I'm joining PinkiePie (hope I remember this correctly...) in using up a lipstick - Max Factor Raisin. It's a slightly shimmery fairly natural pink. I've been meaning to get started with it for months but looked really blah in deep mid-winter. When the sun is out, it looks completely different, so this will be my project for March.

kwick · 06/03/2017 14:44

Thanks wood but I am nowhere near finishing pallette - should be done by 2020!!!! Takes so fricking long!!!

2 empties to report- a small l'occitane almond hand cream from my advent calendar - I like their hand creams but have a billion more to go so won't repurchase now. Also a Moroccan rose hand wash from heath cote and ivory that I got as part of a gift set. I didn't like the smell so kept using a different hand wash bur forced myself to use it up. Definitely won't be repurchased. I'm hoping I will finish my ogx shampoo and conditioner this week and can then get to work on another open bottle of shampoo and conditioner!

AlfaMummy · 06/03/2017 17:38

Hi Ladies, finally finished a Liz Earle blusher, not fab as it wore off within a few hours. Now using my new hourglass palette along with my Bourgois blusher. Working hard to see off a few more products this month...

applesandpears33 · 06/03/2017 17:42

Well done. I've never finished a blusher. They seem to last me for decades.

FrustratedFrugal · 06/03/2017 17:54

I'm a year-round daily blusher user and have finished a couple in the past few years. Still, they are super hard work. Currently, I am working on a meta-blusher that combines pigment from three different blushers. Hope to be done with that by this summer.

ememem84 · 06/03/2017 17:57

I'm working on the second share of my urban decay pallet. The first one is pretty much gone. It only took a year.

AlfaMummy · 06/03/2017 18:39

Mine was a cream blusher. I was trying to remember the word 'cream' for my post but just couldn't!! Baby brain. My usual Bourjois powder blushers do last for about 6 years. I love them!!

kwick · 06/03/2017 18:50

I have so many blushers it is not funny and I rarely use as I generally have pink cheeks.

OP posts:
applesandpears33 · 06/03/2017 19:16

I don't wear eye shadow every day and I reckon I have enough to last me for at least ten years. Yet I'm always attracted to pretty pallets. Why?

kwick · 06/03/2017 19:38

apples I am the same... but in the end what is the harm if it brings you joy?

OP posts:
FrustratedFrugal · 06/03/2017 19:47

Alfamummy that explains why I have never finished A Bourjois or Chanel blusher although I have had them for years.

I have an empty: a 5 ml mini of Avène Antirougeurs Soin Concentré Fort, passed on by my mother who likes some Antirougeurs products. It is a standard moisturizer with that strong dirty hair smell that probably comes from lanolin. I don't use stuff like this on my face because moisturizers almost invariably break me out. Instead, I spread this on my neck, experiencing strong wafts of barnyard aroma throughout the day. Never again Wink
