I have an empty from my advent calendar: Ole Henriksen cleansing cloths - really did not like the smell of these and they were not so good at removing make-up. I try not to buy wipes - I get too lazy with cleansing and my skin suffers.

I've been awol sorry!

I was on business in Leeds (yes I snaffled the goodies) then catch up at work (joys) then at the women walking with God conference at the weekend (amazing!)

Still using my focus items but no empties

Well done gang

Tubbybells · 08/03/2017 07:05

Hi I've also been awol.
Wow full lipsticks and quad well done
Empties from the last week or so -
Full size - aveda leave in conditioner - will not repurchase, Aldi moisturiser - too scented
50 ml and 30ml Liz Earle body wash and body lotion - lovely but loads more to go at.
I have used up a number of trial size things but can't remenmber. I threw before making the list.
Nillus spendus fail - bought 3x Burts bees orange cleansing balm for the bargain price of £2.55 each could not resist - I think they're around a tenner in boots. It's really good stuff.

MrsDilligaf · 08/03/2017 08:24

Confused I somehow appear to have acquired a LOT of hotel toiletries....

they aren't even posh ones

They are going straight in my gym bag.

Old habits die hard.

plumstone · 08/03/2017 09:30

Delighted to report I have finished three travel conditioners and one full sized shampoo - now on to the travel sizes of those!!!

Just about finished my body lotion - this is a repeat buy as I use it every day - but will only repurchase once I check I have no hotel ones kicking about.

Discovered another hand cream at the weekend which I hate the smell of on my hands but don't mind it as a body lotion so this will be used till finished.

the plastic box i have with random stuff collected over the years does seem to be reducing but god its slow - have taken to double shampooing my hair every morning just to get through stuff!!!!!

dogdaydisaster · 08/03/2017 10:51

Hello all, jumoing in again with a few more empties. Both from my 12 disciples. The Becca ever matte poreless priming perfctor -quite nice for my very oily nose Grin. And also finished a pot of clearasil pads, which I use as a salycilic toner. Have already replaced these.

I also finished a maybelline under eye concealer, the one with the sponge tip. I like this and will no doubt buy another.

6 disciples left to get through. I'm not hopeful about the hand cream buit should manage everything else.

FrustratedFrugal · 08/03/2017 18:55

Plumstone fab progress! And I agree that the detritus of years of hoarding can be a bit daunting to tackle...

I've learned to use black eyeshadow as liner, it works both wet and dry and stays on surprisingly well.

No empties here.

FrustratedFrugal · 08/03/2017 18:56

And Dogday fantastic progress, well done!

FrustratedFrugal · 08/03/2017 18:58

Tubbybells those Burts Bees products sound like a bargain and your progress sounds great too.

Dragon great to hear that you had a good time.

kwick · 08/03/2017 19:55

Amazeballs progress all round - well done!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 09/03/2017 06:24

Well done everyone. It's just slow progress isn't it?
Well done on the Chanel frugal. That's dedication. dogday I've just discovered that concealer and love it.
The lipsticks continue but I have finished a Korean cleansing water that I won't repurchase and also body shop moisturiser. Now just perfume from set to use. It's red musk which I like but only edt so never lasts. Both on my valentines list Blush

I'll keep going as box es are getting emptier!

kwick · 09/03/2017 07:05

I have an almost empty but just camnot be arsed to get last dregs out of Baylis & Harding jojoba silk & almond hand cream - used up as body lotion. I promise to never buy this stuff again except for the handwash if I am desperate (I have enough soap in stash to last a lifetime).

OP posts:
dogdaydisaster · 09/03/2017 10:36

Another one done this morning, mainly because I was so sick of it I had a very soapy shower Grin - the caudalie shower gel in Fleur de Vigne. This was the last of my three that I bought in France this summer and my least favourite. I'm wondering if they were in the reduced bin because of the terrible packaging. The other two had nice fragrances, but this was really nothingy. So I've opted for a super strong pink pepperpod by Molton brown to replace it. Think I have about eight shower gels left and ten Molton brown minis!

Great progress everyone!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 09/03/2017 10:43

dogday that's an amazing stash.
I've just finished MB pink pepper mini set. Loved smell but can't justify price if I buy it myself.
Also managed to empty a small green lush shower gel.
But also bought 2 more lipsticks from 'wet & wild'. Only £1.93 on amazon and will report back. Very similar colours to 2 I'm trying to finish Blush. Oh well!
kwick b&h aren't worth it! Their smell has gone by the dregs!

plumstone · 09/03/2017 11:47

I have hit the pan on my hourglass brightening powder - still reckon its got a good couple of months to go before I can bin, then its on to the Bobbi Brown - which I prefer for summer - but even so - at this rate I will not need to buy makeup for at least six months - how depressing!!!!!!!!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 09/03/2017 18:20

I am sure it was frugal who recommended Kimberly Clark on YouTube so thank you! Brilliant subversive take on make up consumerism. I'm so glad I watched instead of going to tkmaxx to buy stuff in a spare half hour today. Love her!

DragonNoodleCake · 09/03/2017 20:22

I got told that I'm under redundancy consultation from today, closing the site I work at in approx 18 months Confused

FrustratedFrugal · 09/03/2017 20:37

Dragon I am so sorry to hear that Sad

kwick · 09/03/2017 20:47

another!!! Did not realise you can get Wet and Wild on Amazon...

I love Kimberly Clark too!!!

Dragon Flowers so sorry

dogdaydisaster · 10/03/2017 09:59

Another Kimberley Clark fan here. Nothing to report today, enjoyed my pink pepperpod shower this morning. I didn't buy them, was a lovely Christmas gift. As was the set of 12 mini MB shower gels.

CantChoose · 10/03/2017 10:03

I'm so sorry dragon, that must be really stressful.

It's my birthday today and DH presented me with the benefit stuff I'd bought for myself wrapped up! Cheeky git. And a lovely penhaligons scent - the other one of the two I struggled to choose from when we had our profiling thingie. So I'm a happy cant this morning! Not so helpful for the stash but never mind!

I've finished a mini smash box primer so moving on to porefessional. I was pretty smitten with the smashbox but fancied a change so I'll see how it compares.

woodhill · 10/03/2017 10:38

Sorry to hear your news about your job Dragon.

One small empty- Lancôme face serum in black bottle, small size, okayish.

Still resisting the Clinique gift in John Lewis, quite hard.

DragonNoodleCake · 10/03/2017 17:40

Thanks all. The stress comes as DH is a SE contractor and his current one is finished at end march and unless he signs for another year in The Hague (please no more!) he currently doesn't have a job.

My DD1 is being a nightmare too

Things work out, they always do

Happy Birthday cant, stash increase on birthdays is totally understandable Flowers

FrustratedFrugal · 10/03/2017 18:38

Dragon sending you my warmest thoughts. Some of my friends went through a similar super stressful situation last year, scary times but now everything is fine. Hoping that it will you for you.

IPokeBadgers · 10/03/2017 18:43

Hey all
Not been around much, super stressed and now signed off work sick 😕
Well done to everyone on the empties....not worn makeup in weeks due to general mood so no progress on anything there...got a shower foam on its last legs though so that will soon be an empty.
