Bonjour! I am in France and need to decide if I need to buy a generously sized Nuxe huile prodigious in a gift set for 20 euro
That's ridiculously cheap isn't it?????
It would be my first purchase here Smile

Needastrongone · 23/02/2017 16:25

Yes, that's cheap pepper.

I like Birchbox, no experience of Nuxe and now want to investigate Feel Unique. Grin

No empties, but did a full scrub, condition, shave, file, moisturise after my run today. Getting low of a few bits.

moogletea · 23/02/2017 16:35

Not enabling you @pepper but that's fab value and nuxe is gorgeous 😉

plumstone · 23/02/2017 16:42

my name is Plum and I have gone 21 days since I bought a beauty product - Have faithfully promised myself that this year I will use everything I have, and only replace what I like and use every day.

I have a very large plastic box full of stuff which really needs used, along with a couple of muji boxes of make up which need streamlined - my search for the perfect nude lipstick will wait till i finish what I have - thinking 2020 at the rate I wear it!!! Started foundation/bb cream/cc cream every day - I will finish one of the many I have and then keep two, one for summer and one for winter!!!!!

Also the other odd thing is about 6 bottles of shampoo each about quarter full why???????? and only one bottle of conditioner - its clearly an issue I need to address!!!

Sparklyuggs · 23/02/2017 18:19

Hello may I join? I have boxes of samples and beauty products from boxes, events, advent calendars etc and with mat leave coming up I want to use them up! Currently using an ole henriksen vitamin c serum which I love and alpha gold from the M&S beauty advent calendar.

woodhill · 23/02/2017 19:07

The Clinique gift in JL has my name on it. Did buy some new make up brushes today.

Needastrongone · 23/02/2017 20:33

Hi Sparkly. I love the Alpha Gold too. I too am living life on the Xmas calendar, pressies and boxes at present and have bought nothing since Christmas. I don't need to buy shower gel until 2036.....

DragonNoodleCake · 23/02/2017 22:23

Hi sparkly, need, 2036 that made me lol

Sparklyuggs · 24/02/2017 06:58

Weirdly I have 8 face washes but no shower gel...
Just finished an estee Lauder day cream and gone onto a bliss one which came from a TK maxx gift set that I bought for the face wash. I like it but it doesn't have SPF so need to see if my haul includes F50 or I might 'have' on buy SPF, that's ok right?

ememem84 · 24/02/2017 06:59

Two empties. Heel cream from boots and an Elizabeth Arden 8 hour hand cream.

Both replaced by soap n glory creams.

woodhill · 24/02/2017 09:24

I have used up a NO7 night cream so 3 off my list but loads to go.

kwick · 24/02/2017 10:48

A BIG welcome to all newbies!!!

spark maybe use the facial wash as shower gel Hmm

Well done on empties!!

TubularBells · 24/02/2017 13:46

Found you all
Finished
Elizabeth Arden - mineral foundation
Origins - ginzing tinted moisturiser & drink up mask
Benefit - sample size porefessional

May repurchase moisturiser and foundation but have others to use up first.

I'm on nilus spendus for a while with my stash.

I find makeup lasts forever as I don't wear it very often

pepperrabbit · 24/02/2017 16:30

OK, so I bought the Nuxe gift set, plus a Nuxe shower gel which I liked the look of, I tried explaining in my best French about what a bargain they were. Smile
I have finished a Sanctuary Spa shower gel which I have had for years I suspect.
Also currently using a Burts Bees deep cleansing cream as a hot cloth cleanser, no idea if that is how you should use it - it's very tingly, but not unpleasant, and the smell reminds me of refreshers!

FrustratedFrugal · 24/02/2017 16:52

I've been away for a few days. I am trying to write a book and had a mini writing retreat out in the countryside with a friend who also has a couple of ongoing book projects. It was great, we laughed a lot and wrote a lot and I am really pleased with the progress.

But I need to confess something: I broke my cosmetics shopping ban to buy a 79 cent travel size shampoo

FrustratedFrugal · 24/02/2017 16:53

Pepperrabbit I really like Nuxe. Hope you will enjoy your lovely souvenir!

mowglik · 24/02/2017 17:04

Checking in to the shiny new thread - I'm low spending this year so am trying to work through my stash without any unnecessary purchases. It really helps that I've been avoiding shops and window shopping!

I've got loads of large sample/trial size things to use up so will concentrate on those to try and use up bits.

So far have finished:
Emma Hardie cleansing balm - need to finish a couple of other cleansing balms before I repurchase (RP) but def will
Cutex nail polish remover - have RP
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip treatment - have RP, love this it's a staple

MrsDilligaf · 24/02/2017 19:13

Frugal

You can keep your badge lovey. It's not like you spanked a hundred quid in Boots

I wanna splurge!! I NEED to have a spending spree!!

MotherofPearl · 24/02/2017 19:26

Marvellous progress everyone! Even though there's been some spending, everyone is ploughing on with their stashes and enjoying it, which is the main thing. Thanks for the new thread Kwick.

I have a few empties to log:

  • Garnier Body Tonic body scrub (contains naughty microbeads, which I didn't realise when I bought it hastily). Won't repurchase, obvs.
  • Nice & Easy colourseal conditioner (one of those ones that comes in the dye kit)
  • A lipstick! A Clinique sample one; the shade is called Shy, had it for ages. Subtle colour that I quite liked.

This thread is excellent at spurring me on to finish things, so I can come on here to boast report back.

Mowglik, I also really love the Eliz Arden 8 hour lip treatment. Beautiful texture and so moisturising.

MrsD, am I right in remembering that, like me, you're back at work after mat leave at the end of the month? I'm back next week and dreading it, back looking forward to getting paid so I can have a bit of a guilt-free splurge.

MotherofPearl · 24/02/2017 19:27

Meant to say, I'm struggling not to fall for the 'spend £25 or more and get £5 off' on Nuxe products on M&S website. Sorry to enable...

Whattodowithaminute · 24/02/2017 19:31

Realised I'm out of shampoo completely... DH it would seem has another 4 bottles (for his 'sensitive' scalp!) do I just buy another massive bottle of tresemme or branch into something more exotic? Straight brown bob length hair-any recommendations?

applesandpears33 · 24/02/2017 19:33

Does anyone know when M&S will have their Mothers Day gift box on sale? I've been good for quite a while so surely I could justify it (even if I've not finished everything from the gift box at the end of summer)?

MrsDilligaf · 24/02/2017 19:41

@MotherofPearl I went back on Wednesday, but officially I went back at the beginning of Feb. I got my first pay packet yesterday hence the desire to run riot in Boots. I want to buy all of the things. All of them.

I was good today though. I was sorely tempted by the Clarins GWP in House of Fraser but I resisted Grin

CantChoose · 24/02/2017 20:56

Ooo I turn my back for a moment and a shiny new thread appears!

I've finished a full size Miss Dior. I confess that sweet, sickly perfumes are a guilty pleasure of mine but I found this had no staying power on me. I also realised it's the scent my dad's partner wears so that was a bit too weird. I can't decide if I should start another full size or plough through a couple of miniatures.

I was planning to paint my nails again tonight but I'm very tired (only had 8 hours between my last two work shifts - have done 25 hours since Thursday am :/) so I think that might wait until tomorrow!

Needastrongone · 25/02/2017 09:03

I love Nuxe too, and didn't need to hear about the M&S offer...Grin.

The M&S mothers day gift box is a great idea, thanks. No idea why it didn't cross my mind...

I also love the Emma Hardie moringa balm. I have a massive pot of it, bought before Christmas and was rather pricey, but will last months. Last night was the first night in months I went to bed without washing my face and my skin feels all scratchy today.

Long hours there Cant

I did get my nails done yesterday (and toes, and brows..), I will post the photo in a minute. New salon. Impressed.
