My name is kwick and it has been 3 days 8 hours and 20 minutes since I last bought a beauty product...

I need rescuing 😀 have been very diligent finishing things - this morning I finished a Roche Posay toner (rubbish wouldn't buy again)

I've an interview at 1. Got into London super early. Now seem to have a new Bobbi Brown foundation, concealer duo and lip gloss. How did that happen? I only went into John Lewis for the loo. stop me buying PLEASE

Stress shopping. I do that. Or if I'm nervous. Or sad. Or happy.

Afternoon all. Another small empty here -the Paula's choice 2% salycilic 30ml sample size. I liked this and think it did clear up my skin, so I may well buy this in a full size as it's not too pricy.

I hope the interview went well moogle and at least you are not buying or eating crap which is what I do when stressed.

Moogle sending you lots of positive energy. I'm sure you'll ace the interview! I have to admit that the Bobbi Brown concessions look super tempting, all those pretty shades. So can't blame you...

I wanted to do some major stress shopping at LHR last night but managed to rein myself in (bought just a mini handcream and mini dry shampoo from Boots, total spend £2.50 - I travel light and needed both).

Thanks for asking Kwick, the meeting went really well and I felt I really accomplished what I set out to do Huma's lipstick bolstered my confidence. Very happy to be back though, there is something super regressive about having dinner in bed during a solo trip.

What is this HUMA of which you speak?

Huma Abedin is/was Hillary Clinton's aide. She is smart and glamorous and recently separated from US politician Antony Weiner who has the unfortunate tendency to send pictures of his private parts to women he had never met. The various messes they were involved in or may not have contributed to Hillary's loss.

These are the superficial details. What really matters, though, is Huma's mesmerizing, hallucinatory red lipstick.

Frugal, thanks for the YSL info on darker reds (and further Huma shades!). I'm making a note of those so I can do some testers when I'm next out and about.

I'm just back to hotel after dinner, totally need to work but wifi gone off, so fuckit I'm in the bath!

Dragon, there is always room for more red lipstick IMO. Any nice hotel minis where you're staying?
Two empties this morning:

• Organic Surge face polish. Will not repurchase. Quite nice and gritty but smelt a bit funny and the lid got a bit mouldy by the end.
• A bar of Dr Bronner eucalyptus soap. Love this whole range and have various others in the stash (rose, almond, peppermint).

Oops went awol!
Love the lips frugal.
No empties and got diverted by skincare threads so now have pages full of eager to buy things!
And want frugals lipstick ( well huma's I suppose!) I'm trying hard to use up 2 full lipsticks. Nice formulations but bit dull. Any suggestions for how long it will take? Seems like ages! Pics of sticks included!

Anotherpinkie I have never yet got through a lipstick in my life so no advice sorry, the colours look gorgeous though!

Few more empties for me, Im concentrating on using stuff from my beauty boxes and they are trial/half sizes so I should get through a few:
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip balm stick
Ultradex - my fave mouthwash, I didn't have a backup and had a moment but got it shipped by amazon same day phew
Mitchum 48 hr antiperspirant - love this works well on me already have a backup
Rosette ceramide gel - ok but sticky on my oily skin so won't rebuy

I think Huma wears YSL Rouge Couture Pur #1. It's expensive but exceptional, I get 8-9 hours of flawless wear from one application. She also wears a darker burgundy shade that could be one of the countless MAC Viva Glams (pick the darkest one).

Pinkie I estimate that your shorter, stubbier lipstick has about 50-70 applications left, so it will take about a month if you apply twice a day.
I know I sound barking mad and lacking a life borderline obsessive but I have tracked lipsticks worn from the beginning of this year - so I know fairly exactly how long it takes.

And well done on empties - fantastic progress everyone!

I do really like this product and this is the third (possibly fourth one I've had) but lately it just hasn't been giving me the coverage I need. Nothing wrong with it - I think I just need more help!

So I'm currently experimenting with the liquid foundations I have alongside the primers, illuminators and loose powders to find a winning combination

I have finished an Ana Sui mini perfume. Not sure what it was called.
Starting a full size guerlain perfume, colours of love. I've clearly had it a whole as it's discontinued!
My freebie full size LRP toleraine has arrived today, I'm excited to give it a try though I've rubbed some on my hand and smells a bit funky... will report back!

All packed up and ready to go on holiday. I plan on my return to report numerous empties and no acquisitions ---- time will tell .

Everyone is doing so well on empties, I am impressed. I love the lipstick info, I never seem to hit on the right shade now - I must not be trying enough.
