did I mention I'm testing bare minerals complexion gel stuff?

It's awesome. Lighter than foundation. And gives good coverage. May have found a new fave!

But will use up my stash first.

www.boots.com/benefit-besties-gift-set-10223400

Can someone talk me down please Grin so pretty. And bargainous.

ememem84 · 26/02/2017 13:02

cant I'm going to be the bad influence here. And say buy it. If you use it all anyway. It is a bargain.

When boots had their 75% off crazy sale after Christmas I bought loads of soap n glory and some benefit gift sets. Will use it all so no money wasted.

Sorry. Probably not what you want to here. Plus boots points. (Do you have enough on your card you could use the points? Then technically it's free.....) 😈😈

kwick · 26/02/2017 13:15

Welcome meadow!!!

wood I am currently using Garnier moisture bomb day cream and night cream - not too keen on the day one, the night one is okay
Beware of no7 protect range - contains nasty cyclopentasiloxane or similar.

Loving the look frustrated Grin

We just got back from allotment- some devastation due to high winds 💨

Love that eye look Frugal, looks great on you.
Good job Pinkie. I really like 8 hour stuff, all of it.
Someone on here was asking about day and night creams. I've not settled on a day cream I love, but my fave night cream is also an Elizabeth Arden product, called A Good Night's Sleep (maybe copying the Origins one?). It's in a dark blue glass jar and I love everything about it. At the moment I'm economising with a pot of Astral until my first post-mat leave pay day.
Go on Cant, that's a real bargain! It would be shame to miss out. Wink

woodhill · 26/02/2017 13:22

Thanks Kiwk, did google that chemical and I suspect it's in a lot of products.

CantChoose · 26/02/2017 14:29

Oh I bought it. You're a big bunch of enablers :p
I actually bought three. Oops. One for me, one for my mum for Easter (she's diabetic and misses out on eggs) and a spare which I might send to my friend who is having a rough time at the moment. It was extra money off if you buy three though oddly doesn't seem to say that anywhere on the site. Oh well! Worked out at £13 each.

moogletea · 26/02/2017 14:35

On a roll today finished two products

The body who chamomile cleansing oil - I love this but have the matching balm to finish before I can buy more (plus a no 7 oil as well)

Also finished Rimmel exaggerate liquid eye liner. This is been my eye liner of choice for years but this is the first one I think I have ever finished - I usually lose it or buy another in a 3 for 2 bargain that means I have loads on the go. Got loads of other eye liners including a sample of Kat Von d liner which everyone seems to be raving about before I can buy any more

moogletea · 26/02/2017 14:36

Clearly I meant body shop not body who. We need an edit function Smile

MeadowHay · 26/02/2017 17:53

Moogle I used to use that Body Shop chammomile cleansing oil as everyone used to rave about it on here but I never really got on with it sadly.

Used up a bar of Dove soap...that's it. Blush Which has been promptly replaced with a bar of Imperial Leather. Which is not as good but it's there so needs to be used.

Day cream I am using one from Simple that has SPF 15 in it. And night cream I've never used before ever Blush until last night when Body Shop woman got me to buy the Tea Tree one.

Whattodowithaminute · 26/02/2017 18:26

Day cream currently bliss drench and quench; never used before but I really like it, its light and absorbs well. No SPF in it though so will need an alternative once it's finished to get me through the warmer months. Night cream currently REN frankincense revitalising night cream-feel like I've been using this forever so looking forward to finishing it (maybe this week!) have a korres yoghurt night cream waiting which I'm excited about...

woodhill · 26/02/2017 21:22

1 more empty - Clinique take the day off, make up remover. On a roll.

FrustratedFrugal · 26/02/2017 22:28

Fantastic progress!

I did a bad, bad thing...

I am obsessed with Huma Abedin's red lipstick.
Buzzfeed says: 'I was told by a very reliable source that YSL Rouge Pur Couture #1 is the lipstick Huma Abedin uses.... It’s like “blood of my recently fallen enemies” red. It’s like “the terrified heartbeat of the man who just interrupted me again in a meeting and saw the look on my face” red.'

Well, passing through duty free I swatched YSL #1 on my hand. And I simply had to buy it. Here's Huma's red on me:

How about you - do you have a killer lipstick (or any other makeup item) that makes you feel ultra strong and poised?

So I don't look at mn for 2 days and I'm lost on the thread!
I'm off on business again, in the U.K. For once and, I drove here, I regretted that almost 200 miles in!
But it did mean I didn't have to be so stingy with my packing 😜

Whattodowithaminute · 27/02/2017 06:52

Wow *frugal' lipstick never looks like that on me the application is flawless

kwick · 27/02/2017 08:48

moogle I do like the Body Who/Shop Wink camomile oil and balm but LOVE the No7 one!

Another great look frugal!

Finished a clarins eye balm and a pack of boots face wipes.

FiveShelties · 27/02/2017 21:53

A couple of sachets of shampoo and one of conditioner used up. A small moisturiser which I brought back from a hotel in America also gone. Oh and a very small sample of Clarins Eye Contour cream bit the dust.

I am so proud of myself as I wandered round Bicester Village yesterday and bought not one solitary item, neither clothing nor beauty ---- I almost don't recognise myselfGrin

MotherofPearl · 27/02/2017 22:03

Good Lord, I love that YSL red lipstick Frugal, and I'm quite fascinated by Huma Abedin too! Not sure I could carry off such a red red though. I tend to opt for browner brick reds.
Good work Five on resisting temptation.

Needastrongone · 28/02/2017 08:53

Lovely Frugal.

An empty. A full size one. S&G Heel Genius. There's plenty more where that came from...

Well done on the empties Em, you Alpa-type sort. Grin (Sorry, just read another thread and that comment made me chortle...)

ememem84 · 28/02/2017 08:54

Thanks need it made me GrinHmm too! I am so not an alpha!! Haha! Far from it.

kwick · 28/02/2017 10:07

five you have shown great strength my little padawan Grin

I am chucking out La Roche-Posay Lipikar baume AP+ as whilst very soothing for itching/irritated skin, I never liked the smell, and now I associate with very sad times.

FrustratedFrugal · 28/02/2017 10:09

Fantastic progress - the heel cream must have taken eons...
I still have half-used foot products from the early 2000s

The Huma red lippy is a star! I know this sounds mental but I thought about snapping a selfie at 1am, post full day of high-stress meetings, London traffic and a late-night flight home. I was totally wrecked but my lips looked impeccable Wink It is so easy to put on, just a swipe and it goes on perfectly, no need dor brushes or lip pencils or any detail work. Because this red is quite transferable, I blot once with a tissue. Once on, no feathering or smearing, and even after thorough makeup removal, a pretty stain remains. So this lippy has superpowers! Huma does know a thing or two about looking good under extreme stress...

MotherofPearl I saw that YSL Rouge Couture Pur Couture comes in a few darker shades too, perhaps worth testing? (And re darker reds, someone wrote that Huma probably also wears MAC Viva Glam II). Rouge Pur Couture is expensive but I got about 10€ off at duty free. The formula is fantastic, super creamy and comfortable to wear. Very similar to Yves Rocher Grand Rouges, so that's a solid budget alternative. YR Grand Rouge shades Rouge Vif and Rouge Gourmand are very close.

FrustratedFrugal · 28/02/2017 10:12

Kwick yes I totally understand the association by smell 😟
Here's to hoping for happier times for you in the very near future...

kwick · 28/02/2017 10:22

Was your day in London a success frugal?
