Oooo, love that colour Need!
I reckon you should indulge in a Boots binge MrsD; you need something to ease the pain of going back to work. Wink
A very boring empty this morning: Sanex Dermacare 24hour antiperspirant. 3 more in the stash...

AlfaMummy · 25/02/2017 09:49

Morning Ladies,

I'd love to try the Nuxe oil - I guess I can get a bottle in about three years once I've used up what I've already got!!

One empty from me, a L'Occitane Divine Cream. I bought this in a set and really love the range. I usually use Elemis PCMC so have lots in the stash, once used up I will definitely repurchase the Divine. I'm really trying hard with my skincare at the moment and have been able to stop using foundation and only use my new Hourglass powders.

So today I'm going shopping in the stash for a new moisturiser!

woodhill · 25/02/2017 10:51

One more small empty

Clarins blue orchid facial oil - loved this.

Beauty cupboard becoming sparser.

Have the Boots NO7 voucher. Does anyone rate their skincare. I quite liked the lift and luminate day and night creams.

Do others spend a lot on day and night creams or do you think it's a con?

I do like Clarins admittedly.

kwick · 25/02/2017 12:55

tubular well done! I think we should include nilus spendus in the next thread title Grin

frustrated that hardly counts - stick your badge back on!!! Wow a book!!! What's it about?

Great progress mother!

what Redken seem to be a well liked hair brand on this thread and I am having good results with a shampoo I bought for my oily hair.

Thanks for the badge 💖
Just like many others, I experience intense shopping urges quite often.
Letting loose at Boots Sephora Kiko duty free YESSS
But I enjoy a clutter free stash even more so trying my best to keep the addiction in hand

I am writing a textbook - guaranteed to put you to sleep Wink The upside is that I have a publisher and can do that as a part of my job. We sometimes go to remote field stations for some distraction free writing time and that's a lot of fun. We are already planning the next trip.

No empties here. But I am almost done with my Chanel Eclosion eye palette and trying to decide what will be my next eye palette. I have been experimenting with Nars Narsissist and it is very tempting for spring. It has great nudes and very dark liner colors for super simple eye looks. Chanel Lilium and Murano are also great spring palettes

Whattodowithaminute · 25/02/2017 14:35

Will have a look at redken shampoo thank you, I have their hairspray and would buy that again so that bodes well.
Bliss shower gel empty today!

FrustratedFrugal · 25/02/2017 14:37

I love your nails Needastrongone

Great progress everybody!

Oh and I walked on sea ice today and it was fantastic. Bright sunshine and an endless expanse of white. We did not have ice picks so it was a tiny bit terrifying as well...

I am going to central London tomorrow. I've been out in the sticks wearing ice grip shoes and down parkas in subzero temps and no longer know how to dress. Which coat do you trendy city dwellers wear these days?

kwick · 25/02/2017 16:52

But frustrated does that mean you have used up all your palletes and are looking to buying new Shock?????

frustrated I live in London but can in no way be called trendy... have been living out of my duvet coat...

Can I join even thought I don't have a beauty product hoard? I don't buy tons, but what I do buy I hardly ever actually use, so stuff sits about for years with me not feeling brave enough to use it (especially makeup). So I need to learn to be brave and also motivated to take care of myself and indulge myself and use my stuff so this thread might be useful.

Today I did spend £44 in The Body Shop though Blush, but they had a buy two get 1 free offer on. I got a face mask, which is the reason I went in, and then got conned into also buying a night cream and a serum from an overzealous sales assistant that I couldn't say no to Blush. So now I really have to use them all. Never used a night cream in my life and I already have a serum though Confused.

Needastrongone · 25/02/2017 19:11

Sea ice sounds amazing Frugal. I'm confused how you can do this, then be in London tomorrow. Are you an International Woman of Mystery?Grin.

Hi Meadow, nice to see you here.

Wood No experience of No7 to give you, sorry about that.

Thank you re the nails, I keep them short as I am outside a lot and have ponies, dogs and chickens to deal with. And I run 5 days a week. Hands take a bashing. Smile.

I am here to big up a little hand cream that I have fallen in love with. I have so many others to use, I won't be able to justify RP for ages. It's the Body Shop honey hand cream. The smell is just super and it's so moisturising. Great price too.

CantChoose · 25/02/2017 19:15

I've finished a mini benefit moisturiser. I can't remember what it's called. It was very thick, probably a bit too much for me but was useful as I've had dry skin after a cold a couple of months ago. I don't think I'd repurchase. It was a freebie with porefessional.
I've gone back to my full size elemis hydrabalance. Though I'm not sure it's rich enough for me at the moment. I'm due to receive a ful size toleraine freebe soon so much switch to that.

CantChoose · 25/02/2017 19:16

need I love short, dark nails. Will hopefully do mine tomorrow :) just finished another shift but only 5 hours this time and I'm finally off tomorrow - yippee!!!

woodhill · 25/02/2017 19:52

That's fine needSmile. I thought the NO7 creams were very good.

I would love to know what day and night posters use.

applesandpears33 · 25/02/2017 20:38

Woo hoo! I've finally got an empty. Clinique dramatically different moisturiser. I'm not sure there is anything dramatically different about it but my skin seems to like it at the moment. I've got another couple of things that are almost empty too.

Re night cream - I like the cheap and cheerful Nivea in the blue tub. It is quite thick and greasy and takes ages to soak in. One standard sized tub lasts for ages too.

pepperrabbit · 25/02/2017 21:10

Evening all, back home after a really good break in France, I did not get to go into Sephora in Calais as DS1 had an incident involving losing his phone in a toilet....
Never mind! It's probably just as well.
Registered No7, I've used Protect and Perfect day and night creams as my standard product for several years. Was recently lured to the Lift &Luminate range, I really like the serum (and it seems to like me), can't quite be bothered with the eye cream very often, but I find the day cream a bit thick which is disappointing.

I'm currently using the L'Occitane comforting facial oil as my night treatment and I'm a complete convert - it appeals to my skin and my lazy gene!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 25/02/2017 21:51

Hi all. You guys are on fire. I haven't even finished a bar of soap this week!
And spent Boots points on sleek eyeshadow palette and nyx eye pencil while waiting for optician. And the lady in Estée Lauder made me super beautiful so probably back in 2 weeks to buy the lot!

pepper so pleased you got nuxe. C'est un bonne bargaine. Ma favourit ( I am practically fluent as you can tell).

frustrated wow a textbook. Total awe. I live in deepest darkest windy Scottish suburbs so we rock North face padded coats and fleece! I imagine Londoners are all chic trenches and jaunty beanies! Right mrsd ?

woodhill I liked no7 protect serum but never bought again. I'm loving a Superdrug B day cream at moment. Night cream is body shop oil and lovely too.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 25/02/2017 21:52

cant great nails. I always celebrate final shift of a week with good nails!

CantChoose · 25/02/2017 23:07

Day cream I'm yet to find anything I really like :( my skin was very oily and now immediately post roaccutane it's quite flaky. So I'll need to wait for it to settle to find something good. For night I love origins night-a-mins. They claim it's eight hours sleep in a pot. I'm not sure about that but it's really good. There's an oil free version I used for when my skin was acne prone, now I use the normal one.

CantChoose · 25/02/2017 23:08

pinkiepie the pic was need's - I wouldn't want to steal the credit! I will post a pic of mine tomorrow one they're done. I did a lovely nailsinc navy last week which I'm tempted to redo but maybe it's time for a change...

FrustratedFrugal · 26/02/2017 06:31

Needastrongone it involves a plane Wink I have a brief work thing in London. Was gutted to find that the Space NK near the meeting venue has closed Hoping to get back to snowy forests on Tuesday.

Thanks for the coat advice Kwick and PinkiePie. Duvet coat it is - that's what we wear here as well.

Pepperrabbit your trip sounds fab! PinkiePie loving your French Wink

MeadowHay welcome!

FrustratedFrugal · 26/02/2017 08:44

I have a Nars Narsissist Dual Intensity eye palette (bought a few years ago) in my stash Blush Also a few Chanels Blush Blush

I've found the Narsissist pretty hard to work with because it only has very light and very dark colors and their texture is weird. It was an expensive mistake Last week I realized that the Narsissist might be suitable for nude liner heavy looks and finally learned how to use a angled brush properly ( is great). My eyeliner is still a bit wonky, I need a better brush, but this it what it looks like. On my lips, fuss-free Rouge d'Armani 502.

Ashamed of my beauty product hoard - part 5
FrustratedFrugal · 26/02/2017 08:45

...an angled brush

woodhill · 26/02/2017 10:43

Lovely pic Frugal. I've bought a silicone eyeliner brush from real techniques this week. Want to try with powder eyeshadow, may work.

I've used up a shampoo and possibly a conditioner today ( few dregs left).
Face mask on so probably make up free day. May do eyes.

Did think about a lent fast for buying stuff.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 26/02/2017 10:54

Merci merci je ne regrette rien.

Finished a 8 hour cream and Charlotte tilbury wonderglow. Fab products both and finally back in the gang again!
Oops sorry needs fab nails!

Good look frugal
